Hello Lovely Ladies,

I am trying to stay calm and positive. Thank you everyone for the comforting words. It is nice to talk to so many caring people who all understand the plight.

BabyB, I just talked to my friend with the trips. Her day 14 beta was 680 so even tho it MIGHT "just" be twins, I'm betting on triplets for you!! Don't be nervous, prenatal care for multiples has come a LONG was and I am sure your little peanuts will be perfect. Of course you'll blow up like a blimp (no way NOT too when you're carrying multiples!), but it will be worth it in the end. Besides, when you're taking care of multiples esp as infants, you wont have minute to eat so I'm sure you'll lose the baby weitht fast! When my girlfriend with the 3 was preggo, we called her 'the grapefruit on toothpicks'. Her large belly made her legs look tiny but I am all for pregnant women ENJOYING and MARVELING in their shape. It is truly a beautiful thing!!!

Bean, BabyB, SciT and all you other Moms to be out there are saints for hanging around here offering the rest of us hope and support!! With your caring spirits (and senses of humor!) you'll make FABULOUS mommies.

I test on Thursday but had another bfn today with an hpt, but hey there;s always hope. I will keep you all posted.

Piggy and Unexplained, I will be hoping and praying for you on your big day tomorrow. PP (hmmm, probably not the best thing to refer to by those initials, but maybe it'll get the Mom's to be prepared for what's in store  .....LOTs of peepee).

Baby vibes going out to all you ladies in waiting and another huge congratulations for those of you on the 9 month journey!!!!

Rotobay,

Hold on to your hope girl! I can't make myself do the HPT thing just because it would kick my a** in the same way. There are all kinds of girls in here who had a negative HPT and then a positive beta. You hang in there. You have lots of people praying for ya!

My heart goes out to all of you: Rotobay, Unexplained, Bean, Meleson, Piggypebs, am I forgetting someone? I REALLY want to hear BFPs from you all. I know the BFNs on the HPT must be very discouraging Rotobay (been there, done that), but you are still 2 days away from the beta so try to hold onto hope. While none of us have met before, I feel so very close and vested in the outcome of each of your IVFs. I keep checking daily to see if there are any more BFP announcements. Sending you all my love and best wishes.

Cocoa, Rotobay -- thanks for your input on the triplets front. It does seem at 745 that I'm the highest BFP on day 14 that I've seen so far. Trying to digest the notion of triplets. My hubby and I just bought 2 new cars (NONE of which are SUVs). I tried to convince the hubby that we would need an SUV for the kids, but settled on a larger sedan for me and a smaller sporty sedan for him. I never anticipated 3 so I thought well, we can atleast fit 2 car seats in the back. Locked into the cars for at least 3 more years (Oh shit, perfect timing!). Oh well, babies first and foremost. I imagine I'll have lots of adjusting to do.

Thanks again for all the support and I'll check back in the next days to see how everyone is doing.

Dont worry about the small car, BabyB. All my friends with multiples said they didn't leave the house for years!!! (and rarely got dressed out of anything except thier PJs, often went without showers and lost their baby weight FAST due to the constant busy schedule).

But that reminds me of a funny story. A couple friend of ours tried for 10 years for a baby doing IUIs, IVFs ect. They spent so much time and money that they finally decided to call it quits and accepted that they werent' meant to be parents. So they bought one of those 2-seater sports cars and decided to embrace the child-free life. But guess what...2 years later, the wife got preggo NATURALLY (in her 40s!). So I always tell people that if all else fails, GET A SPORTS CAR...its ultimately cheaper than ivf!!! :)

And thanks to all for the well wishes!! And Meleson, boy do you have self control!!! I wish I could resist. But tomorrow I'll know one way or the other. Will keep everyone posted!

Rotobay,

Normally I have no self control :) I POAS every other day when I did my 3 IUIs! This time so much is on the line that I just can't handle all the emotions more than once. I want to though, trust me, it's taking everything for me to hold back! Plus, my last HCG injection was on Saturday and I think that can stay in your system for awhile. I would hate to get a false positive, that would be worse than a negative for me. I enjoy hearing what you guys have to say though. I'm living vicariously through you :)

Take care and good luck my dear!

I'm so sorry Piggypebs :(

I'm pretty sure I'll be officially in the bfn group myself tomorrow since all my tests, including todays have been neg (and I've been using the new super sensitive ones). But for some reason I'm at peace with it.

I hope you are feeling okay and not too depressed. If I get bad news tomorrow which I am expecting I am going to spoil myself. You should too. Go to the spa, get a facial or a pedicure, go shopping, drink a whole bottle of wine.....whatever your poison, I think its time for some self indulgence.

So go pamper yourself. You deserve it, doctors orders!!!

Rotobay,
Thank you for your support. Plese try hard not to dwell on your beta being negative tomorrow, you might be suprise with a miracle or two. After alittle crying I am at peace. I do believe our destiny is to adopt a child, so as we speak, papers are on its way to us so we can start the process. :)

Piggypebs, you have such a great attitude :) The child who finds you will be so lucky to have you. As I was saying to Kellie the other day, in a couple of years we will all be telling different stories, because we will all find a means to the same end. Not having children will be a thing of the past. Something that was and not is. You take care and good luck.

Rotobay, I can't believe it. After giving you the big shpeel about how I wouldn't test, it made me want to do it even more :) So what do I do? I POAS! AHHHHH! Good news is, it was positive. However, I'm not buying that at all because I had an HCG shot on Saturday. Probably just picking that up on the test. I wasn't actually doing it because I thought it would be positive. I was testing because I thought seeing that negative one time, on my own terms, would make it easier than when I am on the phone on Saturday. I'm officially a hypocrite :)

Isn't your big day tomorrow? Good luck to you! Did we ever hear anything from UNEXPLAINED FERTILITY? I never heard the results of her test yesterday. Course, I guess other people might have a life outside of here :)

You guys take care

Hmmm Misty, You had an hcg on Sat and showed a positive today? That would be a long time for the trigger to stay in your system. But if you test again later, and its neg, then you'll know it was the trigger. But where exactly are you in the 2ww? Was your trigger last Sat the 22nd? And is your beta on Sat, Oct 6? Did you use first morning urine or test during the say? Let me know so I better understand.

And btw, you shouldnt succumb to bad peer pressure!! You should hang out with a better crowd ....not the Rotobays of the world, as they're a bad influence  .

piggypebs: My heart really goes out to you. I'm so sorry, but do agree that whatever child you choose to adopt will be VERY LUCKY!

Rotobay -- hate hearing about the BFN on the HPT but keep hoping for a pleasant surprise tomorrow. I'll be thinking about you.

Meleson: Looks like congrats might be in order for you. Keep us posted.

Any news from Unexplained?

Hey guys,

Rotobay, to answer your question, here is my cycle (in all it's glory) cause it sounds like I have you confused.

I triggered with HCG shot 10,000 units (that hurt like hell) on 09/12. We retrieved on 09/14. On 09/19 we transferred two perfect blastos, so I am only 7 DPT. The HCG shots that I was referring to were these "booster" shots or something. Smaller dosage of 1000 units taken on 09/16 09/19 and 09/22. I have my first beta test tomorrow, but they will not give the results of that test. My final beta was supposed to be on Sunday, but because I live in the boonies, they agreed that testing Saturday when the testing lab is open would be fine. I should know early in the a.m.

However, you may be right. My positive might be for real. I was just reading this:

"How long does it take synthetic hCG (trigger shot) to leave my body before I can test for pregnancy? Every woman's metabolism is different, but as a general rule of thumb, you should allow 1 day for every 1,000 units of hCG you injected. The standard hCG dose is 10,000 units; thus, 10 days after the shot, the synthetic hCG should be gone and you should be able to test for pregnancy without detecting the shot. However, you should ask your doctor what the recommended protocol for your dosage is. "

So if this is not B.S. then my trigger shot from the 12th should be gone and my shot from Saturday should be gone :) That would be so nice. Especially since my stomach looks pregnant because of all this crap I've been taking! I can't believe that I almost can't fit my clothes from 2 weeks ago! There better be a baby in there :) I really think there is. I tested today knowing I could have a false negative, but thinking that psychologically that would help me deal with the real negative that I might get on Saturday. I used to do that with my IUI's too. I would start to get AF cramps and would test right then, knowing full well that it was a negative, but just wanting to somehow control how I found out. I am a freakshow, what can I say. And Rotobay, you are not a bad influence. Quite the opposite I'm sure :) Now get some sleep before your big day tomorrow and think happy little thoughts :)

Carolyn it looks like you test tomorrow too, so stay in touch and good luck!

Bean, did you say you test on Saturday too? Sounds like we are on the same schedule. Good luck to you my dear. Let us know how it goes.

All right little lovelies, I have an early morning blood test, so take it easy and we will talk to ya later!
