no electric surges

Post by Bronagh »

Well Traci,
I've had no electric surges just a feeling of something streaming from the top of my head into my body-but in a nice way. Who knows what is doing on but it feels fine. Had a little bit of an after feeling in my feet yesterday but nothing for too long. I think its nice to feel that you can do something else other than wait.

Good news good news

Post by Bronagh »

Just been down for pre treatment meeting with nurse, was getting kind of confused about if we were paying for treatment or not, so she tells me I have 2 NHS treatments available to me  and if you do one and it doesnt work the health boards like you to take the other one soon after, probably to do with getting you off the waiting list. This is great as I though we were semi private then got a letter saying we did not have to pay. So I just have to pay for the foul brew and acupuncture.

Bronagh, that is great news - you must be very pleased. I had my last go on the NHS and unfortunately we only get the 1. The tea sounds pretty grim - but as long as it does the trick!

Hope you all have a nice weekend - DH and I are off to Cookham Dean for the weekend to get out of the smoke. I had visions of long walks holding hands - but looks like we will be spending the afternoon in the pub watching the rugby! Oh well, at least it is a weekend away.

Talk to you next week

Sarah help!!!!!
Am asking you as you have started the thread but am I a MCB or an ACB as dunno where to post!!! :?
I start suprcur(burselin) injections on sun, but i know I wont be having EC/ET til easter time and the end of the 2ww will be last week in April???!!
Would love to be with some of my former buddies like you and July ann from SCB and Gem from JCB, feel like I will have got through the whole b****y calender sometimes!
Anyway I see you are having injections of the burselin instead of sniffing, I will inject both times, its ok and at least you can do it once a day and forget about it, and hey we know we are gonna look like pin cushions anyway!
Good luck to everyone and please can someone tell me where I should be posting!!! :?

Hi Guys,
hope you are all ok

Sue......we are at about the same stage so why not stay with the MCBs, we can always switch over later.....I dont think it really matters.........

Although we are March buddies, most of us have started tmt in March but EC/ET will be in April.....(tmt always takes about 6/8 weeks so will always lapse into more than 1 month) Dont worry......I will be here for you anyway.........and I am sure July Ann will too.....and Gem and everyone else.............. We can always start a 2ww cycle budy thread later.......

RE Burselin jabs-knoiw what you mean about only having to do once a d ay....my poor dh though, hes under strict intstructions to load the auto injector etc and as I start work early in the week(as does he) I do them at 06.30.....Poor luv....sunday is our only lay in but he has to get up to load syinge for me........no lay ins for me till ET.............

I must be mad.....am working again tomorrow!!!!!

Take care
Sarah

New MCB!

Post by karenh1 »

Hi everyone! Thanks to everyone who directed me to this post as I was a bit lost. Hope I'm welcome in your MCB gang! I am starting my first cycle of IUI with a possible insemination date of 31.3.04 so hopefully everything will go according to plan. DH gave me first injection this morning.

I read some previous posts about acupuncture. I have been seeing my acupuncturist since the end of December and she has worked wonders for me mentally and emotionally! I have felt the electric surges that some of you have experienced which is a really weird sensation! My acupuncturist puts the needles into points on my feet, ankles, shins, forearms, wrists and hands although not all at the same time!

Any extra advice about IUI and any do's and don'ts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all you MCBS,
sorry Ive been a crap buddy since my first post. Ive been trying the pretend your not really doing ivf technique, which i must admit has worked ok so far ( even now Im sniffin and jabbing) My favourite moggie (Izzy) having vanished has eclipsed any ivf fretting( went missing two days before first sniff and still no show)Ive decided that this go has got to work so that I have a baby to substitute for my baby substitute!!! ( izzy the best tabby ever) I have dropped in a couple of times to check up on you all and it seems like no ones quite at the torture bit yet! Its been two years since my last fresh cycle and I managed to fill the gap with FETS ( two -ves and 2 mcs) In fact I was overstimmed and had a freeze all so this is my first fresh go really. To avoid overstimm Im on a reduced dosage but the volume i have to inject is twice as big since its less concentrated. It bloody hurts or am I just more wimpy than I was years ago??Does puregon make you windy or am I just a big farty pants??
Hope you are all well and good luck to us all
love Annie
Ps Thanks sarah for the review of whos upto where, id get confused otherwise

Hi Guys

Well 1st burselin injection today! Sarah I do mine in the eve, usually around 7pm, I was told as long as you stick to the same time it doesnt matter when, and at least I have something to look forward to when I get home from work!?!
I dont have an auto injector, I have an ordinary syringe :( ouch!
Will stay on this thread then as seems like I am not the only one who is at this stage!
Good luck everyone whatever stage you are at!!

Hi Girls,

well my update, after finally having 8 follicles (all different sizes) I then went on to have 5 eggs collected, which was my best result (3rd time), then I called them the next day for results and was told only one eggie was any good out of 5? :( well shellshocked wasnt the word!.

Well that poor lonesome eggie did fertilize and is sitting inside my tum as we speak, cant help feeling really negative, keep wanting to cry, but know this wont help matters, the embryologist did say that the previous couple of months there had been a few women with only one egg at retreival who had gotten pregnant :)

Well, Good luck to all of you. Cant want for my days to go by, only day 3 and going insane.

Bye for now

Sue-ouch! dont think I could do it without auto injector....Is that your choice??

Jen-good luck for tomorrow......could this be one of our first +ve MCB? Hope so

Annie-glad your doing ok.....hope your cat turns up soon....dont worry about not posting much......I get like that sometimes.....am posting like mad now but when Im on the 2ww I ease off!!(opposite to most I know)...Its stupid really but I am always chuffed when someone gets a +ve but it then makes me think Im gonna be the poor ole cow that gets a _ve and dont post cost I dont want to jinx myself!!

Karen-cant believe you are already on 2ww......when do you test? Stay +ve its true what they say...it only takes 1 and I remember someone posting on here recently who was in exactly the same boat and got a BFP....Good luck......
