Hello! It's been one day, and I miss you guys!

Jim, I'm so happy for you. From what little I know of you, it sounds like you and Adriana will be fantastic parents. Thank you for all your prayers and your words of encouragement. Can't wait to hear your updates.

SD, I'm sorry. I missed my deadline. Am I fired?

This note is going to be long because I haven't given an update in a while.

I had my second u/s Friday morning. I have 39 follicles >10 mm. The largest is 18.5 mm. My lining is 11.6 mm and estrogen was 1808. They want me to keep the dose at 125 and come back Sunday morning. I was a little (ok, A LOT) freaked because my estrogen is higher than last cycle and I have more follicles. I called the nurse and she talked me off that ledge. I'm pretty sure I'll be triggering tomorrow for a ER on Tuesday, 5/6. Getting nervous!

SD, you asked about my previous cycles. With my first cycle they retrieved 17 eggs, 14 fertilized. My clinic freezes some embryos at the one cell stage. They froze 6 at one cell and cultured 6. We transfered 2 of those.

For my second cycle, the retrieved 35 eggs  , 17 fertilized. I know this is terrible but I can't remember how many they froze at one cell -- about 8. The ones that they cultured didn't grow so well. We transfered a 6 cell and a 4 cell and got a BFN.

OK, my in-laws are here. I'll have to finish later.

Hugs!

It has been a tough morning. I think this is the most stressful thing my DH and I have ever been through. Our issue is male factor and there is a possibility we may have to use donor sperm. We are doing a TESE (testicular biopsy) to try to get some strong swimmers within 24 hours of my ER so they are fresh. If it doesn't work we have to have donor sperm ready within that time frame. Now that it is getting close DH is having cold feet wondering if he can live with worst case scenario. I can't bring myself to shove the donor profiles in front of him to choose, but we have to do it soon. I have never seen him this freaked out. It is breaking my heart. It will be so hard to not have the experience of being pregnant if he decides he can't do it, but I will be ok. I have tried to tell him this in every way I know how but he is so beside himself it doesn't console him in the least. I keep telling him we have to stay positive and cross that bridge when we get to it but he says he wants to be prepared. He says he feels like such a failure.

There is a reason we are going through this, I know. I am trying to stay positive enough for the both of us but it is proving more and more difficult and we have a ways to go.

He isn't comfortable with me telling my friends so I just need to vent. Thanks for listening, or reading as the case may be.

Hi yall!
Ok I need some reassurance, I am starting to psych myself out!
I keep having cramping...sometimes its really bad, like I am going to start AF. The nurse said its normal, but I can't help but wonder if my embies didn't stick and that's why I have the cramping.
But its several times during the day and I am stressing out!
I guess my e2 & progesterone levels are good b/c they didn't call to change my dose.
I haven't POAS yet...DH thinks it will jinx us and he said I should let it be.
Ok, enough of my neuroses.
Stick baby dust to all...God Bless!!

Wow, I really need to check in more often! 3 pages since my last post! So I'll start w/personals...

Yellow! What an amazing follie report!! Good luck w/the trigger, and ER Tuesday! And I can't wait ti hear more suggestions for not drinking! Now I'm also trying to figure out how to explain away the bruises from the shots!

Jim! Congrats officially! That's a great beta #!! I am so happy for you!

Ruby: Great follie report. My DH has poor morphology, so we will have to do ICSI. My DH has felt pretty bad since hearing that, and feels like he's failing or somethings wrong with him. I hope the TESE works out. I will keep you in my prayers.

DrJen: Good Luck with the ET tomorrow! We are all excited for you!

chelly: You have a beta tomorrow, right? So you will know your results in less than 24 hours! A lot of those symptoms sound like pregnancy symptoms as much as they do AF! So positive thinking!! Good luck!

OK, so me, I started stimming 2 days ago. they aren't too bad I guess. The microdose Ovidrel burned a little after taking it. But only 8 more days and hopefully it will be trigger time! Things are moving right along!! For everyone it sounds like! I'm still praying for you all! And I will try to keep better updated!

Oh Rubylee, you can vent here any time. I'm so sorry for what you're going through. All of our stories are different, but we all know that pain. Your DH will come to terms with the best decision for you guys. Take care and I'm thinking about you!

jharris12, glad to hear stims aren't treating you too badly yet.

I've used a lot of drinking excuses!
-Trying a new diet
-Getting over the stomach flu
-Too hung over from last night :)
-Have to work later
I've also carried a drink around without drinking it. DH takes sips from my drink every once in a while. Good luck!

chelly, hang in there! There is no way to know. Think pregnant thoughts!

Do any of you know what your estrogen levels were while you were on stims? Mine was 575 after 5 days on follistim and 1808 after 7 days.

Hey Everyone,

Rubylee - I am so sorry you guys have such a tough decision. I hope your husband calms down. Wishing you lots of luck and calmness.

Yellow - wow!! that is a lot of follies. I was researching the internet yesterday and found some info on estrogen levels. I guess everyone is different and a lot of it depends on how many follies you have. Here is the info http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html Hope that helps.

SDtrying - great follie report.

Drjen - good luck tomorrow!!!

chelly180 - good luck with the beta tomorrow and try to relax.

As for me, I did feel a little like a chemist mixing up my gonal-f. The shot wasn't so bad once I was able to give it to myself. I don't know why but I started freaking myself out giving the shot. It took me longer than it usually does. It didn't even really hurt. Now if I could only get rid of this headache.

Ruby,

Please let us know what's happening when you have a moment. This must be very tough and we're hoping your husband can make a decision that's good for both of you. IF it comes to that. Please let us know.

Amber- thanks for the well wishes. The same to you on your cycle. Keep the updates coming and we'll keep the support flowing back to you.

Turtles- maybe you have a new career as a nurse coming? The needles aren't bad at all. according to my wife. Even the big progesterone one isn't a problem. Really.

Yellow- No idea on the estrogen levels. Do they think it's a problem? Maybe ask Ghost? Thanks for your support too. Oh, your follies look great and so does the lining. You should have a lot of nice eggs! Farm fresh. Uncaged!

jharris- thanks for the well wishes. Keep us updated on the stim stats. We're pulling for you and thinking good thoughts.

Chelly- yes, you're freaking out unnecessarily. From our own experience, cramps are part of the deal, as are a possible host of other symptoms. Most likely the meds or implantation cramping. Least likely AF. At least that's what I've read and what Dri experienced. Don't worry about it, okay?

Good morning boys and girls!!! Ok, so I have some news! I am 8dp3dt, I POAS this morning...and it was POSITIVE!!!! Let me back up, so taking advice from the president of our POAS club, JesJes, I tested 6dp3dt to ensure the trigger was out. I got a definitive negative. I tested yesterday, 7dp3dt, and got the faintest line. I could barely sleep last night waiting to test this morning, and got a clear pink line!! I am, of course, cautiously optimistic...but not bad for a girl the RE only gave 35% chance for success!!

Ruby~You and DH are in my thoughts and prayers. I know exactly what he is going through, RE had already begun to speak to me about donor eggs. It is hard. I just know you two will get the sperm count you need, I am thinking about you.

Yellow~My RE wanted an E2 of 200 on Day 3, and 400 on Day 5. You seem to be right on track, I was always just below the line...but only had 5 follies.

Amber~I am so glad you are back in the game. I know you are relieved!! RE will get the protocal right this time.

DrJen~BEst of luck at ET!

Grow follies grow to all of our stimmers!!

Hi Everyone,
Just trying to catch up...this board grows so quickly!!!

Ruby,
So sorry to hear about the dilemma you're dealing with...is your DH having second thoughts about the TESE or the donor sperm? My DH has a count that rival those who've had a vasectomy, so just remember, it only takes a few.
You'll be in our prayers...
You start stimming tomorrow?? I go for a suppression check tomorrow, and will probably start stimming on Wed. Things have been pretty quite otherwise, no real action yet. It is funny how different clinics have such different protocols.

Congrats to all thos BFP's out there....seems like a ton of good news!
Have a great weekend!

See Courtney, I'm here just to keep you girls in line. :)

We used this exact test: http://www.firstresponse.com/earlyPregTest.asp

Is this what you used? The first day it was very light and got progressively darker. I am hoping this will be the case for you.
