Jude- sounds like everything is moving right along. Counting down the days until your u/s!!

Children- sorry to hear your still getting sick, but it sounds like your weight is doing well. Keep that little boy moving and a shakin :P

Genn- wow girl, your just on the ball getting everything done and ready to go. Good for you!!

Ftg- those are some great names you have picked out. I feel like things have gone real slow for me so far. it seems I have been constantly walking on egg shells because of being paranoid, but I am getting better and time does seem like it is starting to pick up.

Well, we had out u/s today and all is well. The u/s tech kept commenting how distintive her profile was, which is very similar to mine. ALthough she is definatley going to have DH's legs. She is measuring right on (20w5d), but her legs are measuring 21w5d and her torso is measuring small, so the combo is putting her in the 50%, which is avg. If her torso catches up, she is going to be long like her daddy.
She was trying to put her foot in her mouth, that was so funny!!! then she kept one hand on her forehead like "oh my". She's got big feet!!! I said, uh oh, she is going to have her daddy's long monkey toes. hehehe.
Anyway, I am thrilled, so now we just wait for the Dr to look at everything next week and wait for the call to make sure she didnt see anything the tech wasnt telling us. So yes, more walking on egg shells until next week.

Hope all is well with eveyone. My little girl has been jumping on my bladder today, I even twiddled myself a little when there was a strong push on it. oopps

Dakota-that's great news to hear. I am sure all will be fine, and as long as you feel her a rovin' around she's telling you she's all good. Sorry you had a little accident, but I heard as they grow its pretty common too :?

Hi everyone!
Has anyone started counting how often they feel their babies move yet? There are days that mine is movin and groovin ALOT but today she's very quiet. Just thought I would ask.

As for names....Madison Olivia...Daddy's little Madie. :D He's finally getting VERY excited! The entire registering episode I think was his turning point! HA HA HA!!!!

As of my last appointment I had only gained 4 lbs. That was 3 weeks ago. I've been eating like a PIG lately so I'm not looking forward to being scolded by my dr. :? I guess it doesn't help that when I'm not sleeping I'm eating!

When we had our level 2 ultrasound done we found out that Madie is a thumb sucker! What a cool experience that was!

What is everyone doing their nurseries in?

I'm glad everyone is doing great!

hopeful-that's a great name, very beautiful. Our nursery theme is a plane/helicopter pattern. My husband has been a pilot on & off throughout his life, and we have many items we can already use in there in terms of pictures, models, etc so it really fit! The colors even match the rest of our home; blues, reds and tans.

I was told by my OB until after this trimester she doesn't really have us do any sort of checking on when your baby is or isn't moving. They have have active and quiet days. After 26-27 wks is when she will be asking me more, and I guess after 30 wks I may begin to go in once/week or every other week instead of monthly for checks. Hence, their wanting to know how often within that smaller period you are feeling movement. He is really moving a lot when I'm quiet, and especially at night, ALL night...

Ladies Ladies Ladies - How are you??? I am so sorry I've been out of touch! Every time I would think about logging in and getting back up to speed, I just felt overwhelmed about reading through the pages and pages of posts that I had missed. So...I decided today to jump on and send a message even though I am not up to speed on everyone's updates! I will work on getting caught up!

So the last time I posted, I was going on vacation in August! Yikes! After we got back, my inlaws were in town then the month of September hit me like a ton of bricks at work...I kept thinking it would get better, but not until today have I had a home office day (which I used to have once or twice a week). Anyway - Even after I got past the being completely exhausted stage of my pregnancy, I was still completely exhausted because of work. I would get home, eat dinner, complain about being tired, then go to bed. I haven't been exercising AT ALL since I got pregnant which has been a big switch for me...and it's not helping my mood at all. I just want to have the energy to take my pooch for a walk!

I'm almost 19 weeks, and I have gained about 8 pounds. We did not a first tri screening, so our first U/S since the RE will be next week. We're excited to see that everything is good with the baby and also to find out if it's a girl or a boy. We always said we wouldn't want to find out, but after all that we have gone through and knowing every little detail throughout the whole process, there's no doubt that we need to know this detail, too! We have emptied the room that will be the nursery and ripped the hideous fabric and batting off the walls from the previous owner...but I am waiting to do anything else. We have bought one adorable little hooded blanket, but that's it.

So there's my quick update...sorry I don't have personal posts, but I have to get back to work and just can't dedicate time to reading the board right now...hopefully Sunday when I get back in town.

Please know I value the support we all provided one another as we went through our process of IVF...and I'm happy to have you all as a network of support for this part, too. Jude - thanks for the prod to get back online!

Hope to be back in touch soon!

Dakota, that's great! Sounds like she's really moving in there, no wonder you are starting to feel a lot more! Better start doing those kegels though - otherwise that peepeeing is going to get worse from here on in!

ftg - that sounds cute for the nursery. I bet you can get some very cute things for that theme and it'll be all boy. The colours sound nice too.

Hopeful - It's early for me to be counting, but I definitely have some days where I don't really feel anything moving, and then some days that I'm smiling from it a lot. I like the name you have picked.

Adsgirl - you're welcome! So glad to hear that you are okay! Sorry, now you have another post to read through! Look forward to hearing whether you have a little boy or a girl in there - do you have any inkling yet?

Well, just feeling fat today - I much prefer wearing maternity clothes now as then I think I really look preggers now, but regular clothes (ie stretchy sweats), no, still just fat....oh well - keep growing babies! :D

Hey all!!!

HopefulIL- Glad to hear all is going well and your eating well. How cute that little madie was sucking her thumb!!! Madison Olivia is very pretty, I like it.
I've read that you should start couting movements at 24 weeks, although I've got an active one so I count them for my own. I've read that there are a few different ways to counting. One is 7-8 movements a day and another is two a day count 8 movements in 10 mins. SO of course I am doing both!! I'll wait until my next apt to see what my Dr wants me to do.
I still do have very quite days, but in the vening if I have juice and lay on my back, within 20 mins there is a party in there. Thats always the best way to go to sleep, well right now at least. I am sure in another 8 weeks I will be saying different.
Our nursery theme is Alphabet Soup, they have it at Penny's, Target and BRU.

Adsgirl- Hey stranger!!! It was so nice to sign on and see a post from you. I am so glad everything is going well. I hope taht you can continure to keep us updated.

Jude- Are you hanging in there for your u/s? Getting anxious??

Well, I got in trouble this weekend. DH yelled at me  I had a HUGE burst of energy on Sat so I did and I did and I did, scrubed, tore things apart, just all kinds of things all day long. I finally quit and took a bath, but once I sat down I couldnt move, my hips hurt, my belly hurt and had pains, my pelvic hurt. Oh it was horrible, but do you think I learned my lesson? NOPE, Sunday same thing, but this time I was carrying things up and down the steps that I shouldnt have so finally DH grabbed my arm and said "thats enough, go sit down". So of course as soon as I sat down I couldnt move. Its like I have this energy, but my body ca't keep up. I wonder if this is what it is like when your old? was paying for it this morning, my hands and fingers hurt to bend they are so swollen and I couldnt get my shoes on my feet were so swollen. Yikes!!! Anyone else taking it easy or doing alot of stuff? there is just so much to do and get done before the baby comes.

Any new Dr apt or u/s going on this week?

I hear you Dakota. I became frustrated and even upset at the fact that I couldn't "do it all" anymore. I am the handywoman around our home, and my husband works. Therefore, I had to reconfigure what my contribution was going to be now that I couldn't lift, pull, push, and place things that I wanted, within the time I wanted. I had to ask for help.

I've learned that my even more important contribution is simple...grow a happy, healthy child by not overdoing it. I will still try to do a little outside, but if I get crampy I know right away to stop, come inside and just take it easy. I think the best way to cope is just to realize what you are doing with your quiet time is finite, as we all know it'll change in a short while, but its helping your little one the best way you can :)

ftg- So how do you know what to do and what not to do? When is it enough? How do you decide? For a while I would do stuff for an hour then take a 15 min rest, but the more I rested, the harder is was to get back up so I just didnt rest.
I think the biggest job I have left to do is the fall/winter yard work. Fall trimming of the bushes and cutting out the flower stubs. Once that is done I dont have any more big projects left, but how do I know when to quit? because I dont feel it until afterwards. Like today, the lower lower part of my belly is still sore and is gettign pokes and pains.

I think you have to "go with your gut" so to speak because there is no right or wrong. Like DH says, if I don't get it done in one day, who's going to fire me? No one. So, if I feel good that day, do a half hour or so at a time with maybe a water or small snack break. Remember to kneel down or squat from the knees vs bend, etc. I'm still trying to bend, but my belly is so big I've all but given up and am just getting up & down with the knees. If I'm sore, believe me I would give in the day, and wait til the next morning. I know its hard when you have a burst of energy, but sometimes we get fooled, and can do a little too much. You do what is best for you, but don't be in pain for anything!

Thanks ftg!!! I decided to go home from work yesterday and park my butt for the evening :P But, starting today since its nice and cool I am going to work on my fall yard work for 50 min every day after I get home. That way by this weekend I wont have much to do at one time. Hopefully this wont be too much strain. I told DH that I can trim the sides and back of the bushes, but he had to trim the tops!!!

My belly is still really sore from this weekend

Dakota and ftg - You guys are making me feel like such a slacker!! Our yard is completely out of control, but I haven't had much intention to do anything about it! We talk about it every weekend, but nothing ever gets done! I'm finally just starting to exercise again - walking the dog, etc...and I'm starting a moms-on-the-move prenatal exercise class next week. Work is still a little hectic (obviously, since I'm typing this post at 3:45 am as I eat my cereal...headed to work in about 5 minutes!) ANyway - I think it's great that you guys are staying so active, but Dakota, girl...you need to take it easy. Maybe you should touch base with your doc and just ask him/her to give you some direction on how much is ok and how much is too much.

We have our 20-week ultrasound on Thursday (I will be 19w4d). We cannot wait! I will keep you all posted. Have to run right now...be back in touch again soon!

I hear you AdsGirl. The things that used to take me hours, now take me days, but I just figure I've got to accept I am slowing down and for a very good reason! I have learned to keep the stress level to a minimum because I know it keeps me and baby safer during this whole pregnancy. I think its awesome you are starting your class. I still get to the gym a couple times/wk and do go for long walks with the dog during the week as well. I think if you are able to keep moving, its good for you. I was so used to going 100mph it was really a change to go to 10mph! :)

I'm also reminded constantly to take it easy when I feel like it, because I won't have the option 4 months from now

Adsgirl- Good luck on your u/s tomorrow, can't wait to hear from you on how it goes.

Ftg- Yes, I understand you talking about going 100mph down to 10mph. Going up the steps or down if DH is behind me he always makes some comment about how slow I am going. Butt head!!

I am so proud of myself!! Yesterday I only worked on the house for 45 mins!! When I finally ate and parked my butt on the couch, little girl was the most active she has ever been!! She was kicking me in the crotch and butt!!! Can't wait for that to start hurting!!! It must have been the oreo klondik bar I had :P She sure doesnt jump for joy that way after I eat a bannana. I told Dh last night that I sure know what its like now to get my butt kicked from the inside

I talked to my dad and he has all the peices cut for the crib...yeah!!! I am so excited!! I am SO hoping he gets it done so he can bring it down when he comes for Thanksgiving, that would be awesome!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well, it sure has been quite lately.
