Glad to hear I don't get the award! It is just awful when they fall, I am not ready for a little cruiser!!!

My RE said that I don't have to wait for AF that they can put me on the pill and force AF to come, that is a relief cause I thought I had to wait for a natural cycle after bfeeding to try IVF again but ends up I don't. I am going to start one in January, seems so far ahead but I do want to bfeed him until he is 1. If I am lucky and get a BFP, they will both be October babies!!!

Hello Mommies!

Well, we had our beta yesterday. We're pregnant! :D It was 214

Dr. Schoolcraft only gave us a 10% chance of twins when I asked him at the transfer so I think it's probably a singleton with a high beta. Evie's beta was 160. I posted a question to Ghost on the IVF board to see what he thought. What do you ladies think? One or two?

I'll give you guys the details later. Gotta run!

Mellie: Congrats my dear! Gosh I could not imagine being pregnant right now...hmmm, my beta with twins was that high 12 dpo and then two days later it was triple that?? Maybe it was double, I do not remember.....BUT that is a high beta...maybe it is twins!

I forgot to update you all on us! I have been MIA as I am keeping busy with moving girls! The girls are both crawling now...EVERYWHERE and pulling up on EVERYTHING and will take steps when you hold their hands. Everything seems to have happened over night! They are talking a lot more, eating solids (some things), and just wanting to be independent and get into everything! But they are doing great. They both have their 2 bottom teeth and are working on their top ones (just now starting to break through) Poor things are getting two teeth at a time and are sore and cranky from that so I keep them as drugged up as I can.

They are down to 2 naps a day and about 1.5 to 2 hours each time...still sleeping 11.5 to 12 hours a night.

Otherwise we are doing well! We are not getting pregnant again until Nick is able to go full time and the girls are about 2 years old...they turn a year old here soon! GOSH I can not believe that! They will be walking by then I am sure!

Mellie- Congrats! That is awesome! My opinion is also a singleton. If you use the hcg calculator at this site: http://babymed.com/Tools/pregnancy/hcg/
it looks like you are on the high end of a singleton. But either way, how exciting! I am soooo happy for you and hopefully I will join you soon in the pregnant mommas club!

CT_Michele - I'm being dense I think. I don't see where the calculator is on that webpage. I only see where you calculate the doubling rate. Could you point it out?

I was wondering based on betabase.info. Average for a singleton was 99 and for twins it was around 200. But, I still think it's probably one.

mellie- that site is for doubling time, but plug in your numbers, and make up a second value (I think I picked 400 for 2 days later for you) and you will see where your first number falls on that chart. Then you can check again when you have a real second value. You can also check out: http://www.advancedfertility.com/earlypre.htm
the ranges on there vary greatly though, so I guess it could still go either way. How would you feel about twins? 3 kids under the age of 2? People think I am crazy for even chancing twins, but I think I would do just fine!

Thanks, CT_Michele. :) I just did it and I'm above the high mark for a singleton. Still, given that Evie had a 14dpo beta of 160 a 14dpo beta of 214 for a singleton seems possible.

I think things would work out ok if we had twins. My concern would be for their health. I've always been a planner and not a risk taker. But the infertility journey has really taught me that you can't always plan things. Sometimes you gotta just go with it.

It would be very difficult but we would manage. Mostly, right now, I just feel incredibly grateful for what I have at the moment. And, a little scared, of course, b/c it's still early and I'm trying not to get too excited.

Mellie - Congrats!!!! I hope you are starting a new trend for those of us on this board trying again! I wish you all the best. When do you have your first u/s?

Rio - Don't worry about the fall. Declan has fallen twice - both times our fault. DH wasn't watching him and he fell face first off the couch the first time and the second time I was trying to get him in his swing and he slipped out and smashed his chin on the metal bar. I felt AWFUL! He was fine though. I think they are made to bounce considering how much he falls on his own trying to stand. I am glad you have the go ahead for your next cycle. January will be here before you know it! We start our swim lessons today. I am really excited. I think he will like them. DH is coming along and taking pictures! Our puppy gets along great with the baby - although there is some toy stealing going on  .

Suga - Glad to hear from you! Sounds like you have your hands full with two crawlers! I think Declan is going to get his top teeth soon. He is drooling like crazy but I don't feel them yet. He has his bottom ones. They came in without too much drama.

Michele - I am SO sorry about your cycle being cancelled again. That is so frustrating. Looks like we will be cycling together again if you are going in August. Keep us posted.

Hi Esperanza, Jomae, loopie, Katie! Hope you are all doing well.

Corny- Congratulations :D What a joy. I'm really excited for you.
And Mellie- Bravo to you too! How awesome :D
Twin Mommy-those teeth can be a real killer, huh? Gavin is cutting a top tooth too and he is refusing to eat and is so fussy. So how DO you keep up with 2 crawlers????
Loopie- Pulman sounds like he is going to keep you very busy. I can't believe he so much on the go already. We use use WaterBabies sunscreen. No drawbacks as far as I can tell.
Esperanze- welcome. I've seen you here and there on the board. Glad you decided to join us!
Gecko- good luck on the FET in August. You ladies are something else. I couldn't even think of already trying for a second.
Rio- So the bean's a swimmer? How cool. Gavin had one waterbabies swim class and he loved it. He totally loves going to the pool. We are going to have to baby proof the house soon too. Gavin is scooching all over the place and getting into everything!
Katie- I ate tons on pineapple for 2 weeks straight following the transfer.

We are doing fine. Aside from the evil ex and the Attorney General of Texas still doing their best to keep us down. DH still doesn't have a job. He's gotten one offer since January and we turned it down. We decided we don't want to travel any more and we are going to try going into business for ourselves. So in addition to taking care of Gavin (cutting teeth, and semi-crawling), doing my part time job from home, I am now the owner of a construction company. What a pain to get the corporation set up and all the different state and local permits obtained. And because all of this just isn't challenging enough, I have plantar faciatius (heel pain) and a stress fracture on the top of my foot. Yep, my doc has put me in a cast!!! So now I hobble around after Gavin and I get to WATCH him at the pool. AHHHHH!!!! DH and I are actually considering trying for number 2. I swear I didn't think we would but we just may. After the business takes off and we start looking for a larger home, we will seriously consider it. DH wants me to talk to my OB and RE to see what my chances of getting HELLP again are and what risk it would be to me. If we do this it will be either January or February.
Gotta run, Gavin's up.

Best to all!!!!

Rio - Evie's bumped her little noggin many times, too. :) She keeps wacking her head on her crib. Not super hard but is scares her. Have you put bumpers up? I haven't put mine back on the bed yet.

Suga - Wow! Your girls are good nappers. Evie doesn't take very long naps. She takes a 40 minute nap in the morning and then about an hour to an hour and a half in the afternoon. She sleeps from 8-6 or 8-7 usually.

Gecko - First u/s should be around 7/14. How was Declan's first swim lesson yesterday?

Weezie - Sounds like you are super busy. A good friend of mine has plantar faciatius. Are you a runner? It's a common running injury. Very frustrating.

CT_Michele - I am so sorry about your cancellations. I really can empathize with you. Before my successful cycle for Evie I failed two suppression checks and had a cancelled cycle. And, I switched clinics. I remember I started bcp's for the first time in late August and it was January before I got through a full cycle. I thought I was gonna lose my mind. And, I'm only slightly exaggerating. I remember bursting into tears at Filene's Basement just before Christmas and a good friend ushering me out and taking me out for pancakes to make it better. It is so hard to be patient. I failed my suppression checks b/c of cysts, too.

Corny - Congratulations! :D That's awesome. When's your due date? How's Abigail?

Esperanza - Congratulations on your new little one! :D Welcome to the board!

KatieG - He's walking w/the coffee table? I'm impressed. We aren't quite there yet but it appears to be imminent so I am heading out to Target today to see if I can find a new coffee table. They have a black leather ottoman style one that has storage inside (for toys of course!). I figure she can't hurt herself on that like she could with our glass top fake Noguchi style coffee table. Good luck on the FET! :D

Loopie - We are probably not going to do sign language. DH's native language is Swiss German and he speaks to Evie in his language so I figure she's dealing with enough in terms of language right now. I've heard Moms say they really like it, though.

Our cycle in Colorado went bizarrely well. I have diminished ovarian reserve. I stim poorly. For Evie's cycle they thought I would get 2 or 3 mature eggs but I surprised them and had 6. Still not a lot for a 36 year old but I was really happy.

This time, at my diagnostic day in March they found 8 follicles which I was pretty ok with.

Well, on retrieval day I had 14 eggs. Huh? How can a 38 year old w/DOR have 14 eggs? 9 were mature and fertilized. In the end we transferred my frozen blast from my cycle with Evie and 2 fresh blasts. Then we had one to freeze.

I really wonder about my diagnosis. Still, I'm so happy with the result that I'm almost afraid to ask questions. :)

Pray for me a good beta today! :D

Parker walks along the couch and coffee table. It makes me nervous. But he doesnt like to walk while you hold his hands. His terms are just fine w/ me. So all last week he went to bed at 8pm and slept until 830-930am. Must be a growth spurt. usually he gets up at 7-730. I hope it lasts it was great!! of course it freaked me out so i kept checking on him.

Its soo dang hot. We have been staying inside. Its been 100-104 for like 6 days straight.
