Someone I know lost a lot of weight on Slimming World. She gave me the book to read to get a hang of the principles. I tried it and did manage to lose some weight but then like I said when I'm feeling low I don't really care and will undo all the good I have done in the past week. I read that for successful weight loss you need to tackle the issue that makes you over eat. In my case, its the emotional lows that I get with all this IF lark. And I'm not too sure how to deal with it. Also with me, when people notice that I have lost weight, it actually makes me more determined to continue, but most of the time I don't reach that far for anyone to notice!

Say, maybe we can be weight loss buddies and push each other along the way. What do you say buddy??? :D

Weight loss buddies first and then cycle buddies. When we go for our ER next time, we should be displaying a fab set of slim toned legs. Maybe that will make the RE do a better job at ET too :D

So how's it going today? And what is your food diary like?

I just had to have potatoes so having a green day. Had only fruit all morning and one coffee. Gonna have jacket potato for lunch with no butter, only a bit of cheese. And bean chilli for dinner (will have to use quorn mince). And maybe some more potatoes - free chips. Gotta avoid reaching out for the biscuits. Do you know if home made pop corn without any fat count as being free? I could snack on that..........

Thanks for popping in to see us! Sorry my text made u feel sick - made me feel a bit like that too! Ah well - i will have enough to say when i eventually get my appt back at the shitty clinic!!
Hope u had a wonderful time in Germany .... how did Ellie fair with the her first flight? Glad u had a great time - back to reality now tho eh? Anmy more updated pics on FB of Ellie yet???

Angel: Ive had 2 weetabix (1 x Healthy Extra for today) and fruit to eat so far today! Im gonna go for a green day today too - did u know that chicken chow mein at the chinese is only 7 syns on a green day! So am having a chinese later on (always have a treat on Friday nite!) Not sure about the popcorn tho ... if u have a look at the back of the packet and let me know what the car, protein, Kkal and the grams are - i can let u know ... will check online the syn calculator for you :)

If ur wanting to pick on biscuits etc - why not try grapes instead - or strawberries - i know it not the same, but u could have strawberries with canderel sugar (free) thats what im gonna do alter - watch BB with a punnet and canderel LOL

Becks, thanks sweetie for offering to check the syns, but I mean the dry corn that you pop at home, not the microwaveable one. So that wouldn't have nutritional value written. I could pop it in one tsp of olive oil (2 syns) providing the corn itself does not count. I try not to use any syns on my meals at all, cause I have a sweet tooth and can use to it have chocolate or ice cream. Ben& Jerry choc brownie fat free frozen yoghurt is yummy and so low on fat.

hello

becks/Angel - I too have done slimming world but found it made me eat even more - this time I did Cambridge diet - drastic but has worked a treat - i have lost 4 stone since christmas - IVF doctor even called be a skinny bird when I went to sort out this cycle!

On SW - I loved the quark mixed with canadrel and on strawberries - with vivid imagination it tastes just like cream!!!

Good luck - you both have all the motivation you need x - I still know quite a few sin values if get stuck - walkers french fires always good for nibbling in front of BB - only 4.5 sins per bag!!

Happy days .. its nearly the weekend !!!

Thanks for the dances .. none of us want to be skinny any way we all want BFP bellies!!!

Becky - when is Race for Life - I have found exercise has helped immensely with weight loss and even started to enjoy(in the loose sense of the word)

What you think of BB - usual mix of odd balls - loving the first secret mission though!!

later

what the hell is "SYNS"????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    geez - i try to come see whats going on first thing (for me) and get all this "SYNS this" and SYNS that???!!! i get that it has something to do w/ weight loss but WTF??! And angel ---- mind telling me WTF a "jacket potatoe" is??!! about the only thing i didn't have question about was the "FRUIT" -- i totally get that!!! ha, ha ha!!! sounds like you guys are having a lovely day!! and it's always best to have a weight loss buddy -- although, i've historically proven to not be such a good buddy cuz i've been known to be meeting at the gym for exercise only to say (to my "buddy") -- want to go for ice cream instead???!!!! :P

So i have to tell you guys what a sneak i am!! this morning i had to go for blood draw as my doc had wanted to "confirm that i had ovulated" (had NO idea there was a test you could do from blood that would indicate whether or not you ovulated??!!! learn something new ALL THE TIME!) so anyway - in his office last week - he sent me home w/ my paperwork to have labs done (for today).......and i don't know if your guys system works the same over there - but over here, you must have "lab order" from your doc to go have bloods drawn at the lab.....and is standard form w/ BIG list of many of the standardized bloods they do on routine basis -- so i pull it out this morning before i went to the lab and i see the magic "HCG" bloods on the list and all that is req'd is for it to be CIRCLED and they will test!!! so i got my pen out and circled that puppy!!!!!!!! i pay good money for my health insurance -- and i don't have to pay anything out of pocket to go to the lab --- figured it would be way cheaper than $$$ on HPT's at the store!! AND would be WAY more sensitive!!!!!!! bad news is ---- docs office wont' have results til monday :? bummer dude........

WTF Icsi - you go girl - if I thought i could get away with it I would have done that too - system different here! Long time till monday though!!!

SYns ???? - on diet you get allocated a number of syns each day to have little treats so like a vodka and diet coke would be 2 syns - usually get between 10/15 per day, bar of chocolate - average about 15 syns - hope that helps!!!

hey carolyn -- thanks!!! i was thinking i was being all "james bond" --- all sneaky!!! i know long time til monday -- but ya know, even if i went and got HPT from store -- that is surely not going to be sensitive enough to pick up anything that MIGHT be in my system at this point.... ya know?? so even monday will be sooner than next FRIDAY!!! how goes the stimms?? do you do own injections or dh do it for you?? i've done both ways -- mostly dh did all of mine though -- i'm a chicken shit when it comes to needles!!! ha, ha!

thanks for info on syns.....what does it stand for anyway?? other than what it sounds like --- "SINS" --- as in "sinning" --- you know, all that bible stuff???? (ha!)

Oooooo you SNEAKY ANGIE!!!!

Although I can't really tell you off cause I did something similar this week  Not HCG though as I had just had AF. The form given by my doc had specific things circled, so I also circled 2 more tests that I was curious about (one was FSH levels). She might be surprised though when they receive the results. Its just that I am trying to do a lot of research into things I can do to improve my response next time round.

SEEEE!!!! Angel --- why didn't you tell us????? Then i wouldn't have had to come up w/ the brill idea myself!!! You forget that's why we have each other --- so that we can learn from one another's sneakiness!!!

Now see -- my doc will be none the wiser thinking "hmm - must have just circled that too" or whatever cuz he doesn't keep copy in his office..... he basically relies on patient to take lab slip to lab, get bloods and then lab will forward results!!! wa-la!!
