thanks for the message- I'm staying away from the comp- but had chat with dh online so logged on and then, once I log on its tuff not to look in,so I decided one peek per day wont hurt!!
I'm trying not to worry- looking forward to dh coming on Friday morning, and also already thinking of his leaving the following saturday

Hello everyone,

I've not really been around much - lying low waiting for my scan on the 22nd Sept. They make you wait till at least 7 weeks to be sure of seeing the heartbeat.

This is worse than the 2WW!!

So have been trying to put any excitement out of my mind (attempting the impossible) - but feel a bit in limbo.

Hope to be around more after the scan, when it will hopfully be more real!

smita not long till hubby home..i can feel how excited u are.

im still plodding on day by day... it was the first time i gave the house a good clean today its only had a lick and a promise for the last few weeks....so iv missed out on my afternoon nap and its just gone half 8 and im ready for bed eyes are going ...so mite get nice hot choc and off to noddy land for me
this sleep buizz is wearing me out im so tired all the time is anyone else feeling like this ??
anyways i can hear my bed calling again (it does a lot of calling these days ) ha ha

Hi all - I've been really lazy lately - sorry I haven't posted much but I've had my brother's little angels to stay for a week - aged 1 and 3 - they have taken all my time and left me exhausted at night. Absolutely gorgeous though - I laughed so much everyday with their beautiful little ways and melted when they called my name!! Can't wait to hold my own - it really made me feel excited imagining my child as a proper little person. Thanks for reassurances Kim and Lil P re midwife appoints - sorry haven't replied for ages. Jacs - I keep giving myself little milestones, I think thats also why I've been a bit quiet lately - I really want to know results of 12 week scan and then I feel I'll get busier on here again. Are you still without symptoms like me? It makes me anxious because other than a slightly raised tummy and no periods I don't have any signs of pregnancy so I start to get a bit nervy. Cant wait till 10am (thats scan time) so I'll let you all know later. Hope everyone else is great - I too am worried about Ultimatemama - seems to have been a long time - hope she's fine.

Hi all

Sorry not to have responded to your messages sooner - been being nervous silently! Thank you though it helped! Everything is okay - had scan, the baby is fine - 4mm & could see heartbeat. Dr said everything was as it should be at the moment and that discharge was v. common. So that was really good news! and a big relief. I'm having another scan in two weeks.

Congrats Vicky P on the scan - lovely isn't it? Jacs - when is your 12 week scan? Are you having nuchal fold scan aswell? My 12 week was lovely - baby was asleep and woke up half way through - had a stretch and rubbed face - sweet. I'm still anxious though thinking about next week - have blood test on Monday and then NT scan on Thurs where they give me risk of Downs - I'm desperately trying to look at ammount of fluid behind neck on my 12 week scan but don't know what I'm looking for - Stress! Will it ever end?! If all goes well next weeki I'm goiing to move over to 2nd tri thread on Friday after I have results of combined test. Good luck and lots of love to everyone else,

Hello All,
For those of you counting down to the first scan hang on in there. It is a very stressful wait. DH wouldn't really let himself believe that things had worked for us until he saw that little heartbeat last week. I'm now looking forward to my next scan on 22nd (only next week) to have yet more reassurance that things are going ok. When you see that screen all will be fantastic.

I'm begining to 'show' already!! I'm only 7 weeks and 4 days so am a bit concerned. However, people have reassured me that this can be quite common if you're quite small (as I am). I finally got the courage to phone my GP to tell them the good news. They wanted me to see the doctor for her to confirm the pregnancy!!!!! Needless to say when I explained the situation they changed their minds. I now have to wait for the midwife to call me (probably tomorrow) and then I'll really feel as if I'm officially pregnant (still feels odd to say that).

Just to let you know that you're not alone in an early bump - I started in maternity clothes at 6 weeks because by week 5 I couldn't do my jeans up!!!! Like you I'm on the slim side and was told that was why the bump was more evident.

I have to admit to loving it though - it sort of confirms that things are occuring. Keep patting it!!!

im not sure wots going on now... when i will have another scan!!!!!!
i went to my gp last monday 5th to say my clinic had discharged me to wrexham now my gp dictated a letter to be sent to wxm hossie saying because of the still ongoing ohss she wanted constent monetering....but over a wekk on im still waiting for a letter for an appointment to see someone.. anyone !!!!!!!!! even the hospital porter would do at this stage ha ha ..
iv not even seen a midwife yet for all the questions...have they forgot about me????
no cheryl im getting no symptoms no sickness... no cravings..just still bloody dihorrea(which touch wood iv not had since sat)
i do have a tightness across my belly and im sure its gone bigger...im a big girl anyways so cant tell much but im sure i can see a roundness in my already fat belly ha ha
im not keen on being pregnant if this is how it makes u feel im just hoping it all changes in the 2nd tri i just keep telling myself its well worth it in the end
i bought my first thing yesterday a little rocker chair off ebay for either me or my mum..hubby and me did go look round a few baby shops last friday just to give him a idea of wot i wanted and how much things were going to cost not going to buy owt untill i come back from my holiday in nov
oh well cheryl and i are nearly at our 12 weeks so will be moving over soon to the 2nd tri im still not sure wot day im 12 weeks as iv had 3 dates so going by the first one i had and my ticker which is tomorrow wed. its so exciting like entering another chapter in our lives and meeting new people

Hi Jacs - if you don't mind spending the money why not find a private scan place for a 12 week scan or a Nuchal translucency? I think prices range but my NT next week is £90. Remember if you want Nuchal scan it has to be up to 14 weeks and no older - its not a scan that many NHS hospitals offer in this country but lots of private places do it. You might not be too bothered in which case wait and see what you hear from midwife - just don't want you to lose out if you were keen on getting some Down's / spina bifida screening. I'm terified about it but want to have as much info as possible (I'm one of those people!) How come your OHSS is still an issue - is it just enlarged ovaries (I still have this) or are you still getting symptoms? I hope its the former cos it would be a shame if you were still suffering pain from it - I hope you aren't. Like you - my dates keep changing - I'm now back to 28th March as due date! If you go on over to 2nd tri - I'll catch you up end of next week - I've decided I'm goiing to change over after my NT scan - see you then.
