Hi Carolyn!!!

Ok, if I tell you what kind of furbabies I have, do you promise not to judge them???? I have two AMAZING, SWEET, LOVABLE, WELL MANNERED, pitbulls. Yes, I said pitbulls. They are my babies!!! They think they weigh 10 pounds!!! They try and climb into our laps all the time. Now, I know there is a lot of BAD publicity about pitbulls. There are a lot of horror stories too. I truly believe it is all how they are raised. I have NEVER has any problems with them. They are around babies, kids, people all the time.

My childhood dog was a german shepherd. When he died, I was the same way. NO MORE DOGS!! But Dh bought my Mollie girl as a suprise and of course I was in love from the moment I saw her!!! :D

Yes had a nice weekend. Saturday was my sisters b day so we had a get together and on Sunday dh and I had a lovely lazy sunday!!!
What about you? Anything special?

I dont know where all the girls are. Guess it is just you and me...

Spain...WOW!! Is that far from you?

So when you start tmt again, you just fly there and have your ET? A lot of UK ladies go to Spain!!

Hmmm....I know Steph was offended by "Awaiting Treatment Part two!"
She didnt actually say that to me, but that has to be why she left. I dont think Mia had a problem with it. She sounded fine and she was the one who started that thread!! I wonder why she stopped coming around...
Angie, now we all know she wasnt offended. I hope she is just busy and she hasnt ditched us!!

WOW!! That is awesome, free beauty treatments!! FAB!! Sounds like you had a really nice weekend. AN all girl weekend!! Those are always the best!!!

Hi guys!

Okay, I'm a little confused!!! First of all, where have all the Cycle Buddies threads gone??? There used to be so many of them, and now nothing!

I'm not sure I understand the two "awaiting treatment" threads... lol! Erm, how does it work? I miss my old cycle buddies, I know some of them post here, and I just want to chat from time to time because the connection we have here between posters can be amazing! :D

...but I've just started an FET protocol, so I'm not really awaiting treatment... and I'm not pregnant either. I mean, I do want to chat about my cycle, and about other stuff... Help? ;)

thanks guys,

Sophie

Hey there Nims!!!! Boy, you werent kidding about your baby coming late~!!! You are really hanging in there! How are you feeling? Taking it easy? Your pre-baby stuff all done?? I know, a thousand questions... :?
So nice to hear from you!!!

Sophie...hello love!!! Well we used to have quite a few ladies posting here. But we decided to have the "awaiting tmt part 2" for the women who have been blessed with a BFP!!! It was kind of hard coming on and seeing all the sonograms, and baby talk when you arent there yet. Do I make sense? You are MORE THEN WELCOME to chat with us. The awaiting tmt thread is for everyone and anyone... especially those who are still trying. We love to talk about everything, not just IF...

Oh, and we LOVE new people!!!!

Hi there Sophie,

long story but long ago, there were quite a few of us waiting for dates for cycles to begin and we didn't belong to any particular cycle thread so good olde Becks started this thread as we were in limbo........ then as we started to cycle we loved this thread so much we didn't want to leave, then some of us got BFP's and it was hard on some of the others who were not so fortunate so a new thread was started for those that gone on to step 2 so to speak.........but we didn't want to move completely on a new forum section.... does this make sense!!??? :?

but you're right, there doesn't seem to be so many 'Cycle buddy' threads as there used to be......

This is a great thread (even though it isn't technically a cycle thread and if you choose to stay) and a set fabulous girls on here who will support you through your new FET cycle - warn you though - they are a little mad at times and when they get posting with the glitter - just watch out!!

Good luck Sophie and have everything crossed that this is your time.

Thanks for that enthusiastic reply Miracle! it,s great to make your acquaintance! :D

And Nimble, thanks for explaining, too! it's great to chat with you again; it's been a long time since we were on the same thread!

My confusion originated, I think, from the comment I read on the second thread that says it's not exclusive to pregnant women... but I think I'll stick here! :D I totally approve the decision. Yes, it's hard sometimes to read about pregnancy stories and see pics when you haven't been blessed yet. And it's also not a guarantee that the thread you join in the "pregnant" section will go on. The thread I started for the November mummies has been inactive since June! Ouch!

Okay, so I guess I'll learn more about you lovely ladies in the coming weeks. For those who don't know me, my name is Sophie, I live in Montreal with my husband Christophe, our dog Daria and our cat Moira. A medical faux pas gave me an infection, which destroyed my tubes. Three surgeries, two IVFs and one FET later, I'm still alive! :D

I am now fully recovered from my last surgery (May 30th) and my body is in the best of shapes to become pregnant again. Given the surgery's successs, our BFP in March, and the clinic's amazing success rates at the moment with FET, we're very confident that we'll get pregnant again in no time. It still hurts a lot, sometimes, to think about the events surrounding my miscarriage, but I'm okay and enjoying life to the fullest! However, given the poor support we were given by our relatives during the miscarriage, we decided to keep our attempts and results a comple secret until the first trimester is behind me, maybe even more (only my best friend and my sister know).

I just started a new FET protocol. I'm now happily sniffing Suprefact and taking baby aspirin. The charming downregging headaches started yesterday, still very tolerable though I feel the fatigue kicking in. I'm waiting for AF, which should arrive in the next few days. FET should happen around mid-August. Last time, we had very strong embryos and we're hoping it will be the same this time.

Other than that, we're in the last miles of a big renovations marathon in our new house. The house is amazing, but we're really fed up with all the renos. We're also about to adopt a little brother or sister for our dog. Right now, we're considering Shadow, a golden-Newfoundland-chow mix (he's beautiful! the size of a big golden). We still don't know if it will be a match with our family; we're waiting for the shelter to call us back.

There ya go! Have a great day everyone!

Sophie :D

Hi Sophie - welcome to our thread - some days are quieter than others on here - think it depends on everyones wrok load or how good they are at skiving

I think there are cycle buddy threads under IVF forum - I know I started one of there for my last treatment June/July and am sure there is a Aug/Sept one - but you are more than welcome to join us

I did not abandon you guys. Life just seems so busy lately. Dh is out of town for the next couple of days. I hate when he goes out of town. he is entering into his really busy time of year, but forunately things will calm down in November. (Yikes, that's a long ways off).
anyhow, I had a workshop I had to attend today. It was absolutely FABULOUS!!! Which, these things are usually boring as can be. However, I loved every moment of this one.
tomorrow I am off to the dr....no not about treatment....he still hasn't called me back after 6 weeks...then Wed. another workshop. I think I am done after that.

Well, I have been at the whole weight loss thing for a total of 3 weeks now, and I have put on 3 pounds. I know it is not muscle, because I have not worked out in the past 2 weeks. UH!!! Why can't I just wish the weight away?

Wishful- So going to spain? can I ask why there? Is treatment cheaper there, or just a better success rate?
A beauty salon.....how fun that sounds. So did you get the whole work up? I would love to spend a day at the salon. maybe someday.

Miracle- Pitbulls...awe how cute. I know what you mean about getting bad raps. My sis used to have rotweillers and ses was told that by the time they were 5 they would probably be killing people. They were the sweetest dogs in teh world. Unfortunately, both passed away last year.
I too have two dogs.....a german sheppard/blue heeler mix, and a brittany/setter mix. The brittany one is really sweet. The other one was, but after we took her to obedience school she had a bad experience and now she is pretty mean. however, after 3 years she is finally getting used to my daughter. (most of the time).

Nimble- I don't think we have met. I see you are VERY pregnant. May I ask if we know what you are having yet? Do we have names and everything picked out?

well, ladies, I will try to be on tomorrow for a little bit. I promise I have not abandoned you. I seem to be able to post more when I am working (though don't tell my boss).

hi

going to Spain - think eiterh CERAM in Marbella or IM in Barcelona - it is about half cost of DE cycle in UK and the waiting list is 3-6 months where as in UK its 18-24 months - and as I don't have age on my side have decided to go down abroad route.

have you tried cutting carbs out of your diet - that helps me big time - i think i prob have a slight wheat allergy as now if I do eat bread I bloat big time :? :? - this weight loss thing is just sooooo hard though

Don't work too hard - what do you do ???
