hi i'm around but have to fight to get to the computer as DH working from home today.......
hrobinson - I have seen you 'around' in the past but hello and nice to meet you. Don't come this thread too often as I try and be considerate to the others (and that isn't a dig or anything - just know how it feels).
We have no idea what flavour we are having so something to look forward too at the end so have 2 sets of names ready for both sexes - although I suspect they may change before the big day!!!
Carolyn - unfort I'm not a curry person and as for the sex well.......think it may be off the menu too
- you know what men can be like with pg women on the final stages!! So its Raspberry Leaf tea and pineapples for me.
Some of the earlier girls on this thread did IM Barcelona - not sure if you were around then??? But it had good reports.

Well where the heck as Angel gone? I know she hasn't ditched us. She is probably super busy at work. Angel, that is just rubbish. We come first, remember??

How are you feeling Nims??? I can't believe you only have a week left! You are such a trooper.

I have PCOS (polysistic ovarian syndrome), while DH has azoospermia. (no spermies in ejaculate) At first we thought we would only have a baby through donor sperm. But the dr said there is a very good chance that DH has sperm in the "boys!!" So we have to surgically remove it, do ICSI/IVF and hopefully we have a baby. We are on hold right now, as money is tight do to the economy. We are going to refinance our home and take out a equity loan for our baby bills!!!

Carolyn- Oh how I hope going to Spain will work for you. Maybe a change of scenery will do wonders. so how does all that work....will you stay over there for the duration of the procedure or ill you go back and forth?
Cutting out carbs? Are you kidding me? Well, I told dh that we really should do that, but we seem to eat them all the time. I would have to come up with completely new menus for supper. However, if I would buckle down and get serious about the weght loss thing, I would cut out carbs.
Ate pizza last night and that is the first itme since I've started this whole weight loss thing. My tummy hurts so much this morning. Wonder if there is any corrilation.
Chriss- You sound really busy. You must be preparing to go back to school....something I probably need to buckle down and do. ope you enjoy the next to days off doing "whatever".
Miracle- Yes, I am a teacher. I should have worked really hard this summer getting ready for the new school year, but well.....that obviously hasn't happened. Plus it's extra hard as I have been moved to another grade level and will be teaching ALL subjects. UGH!!!!!
Anyhow...need some advice. So, I have a friend who called last night all upset. I guess some of her friends are mad at her because in the past 5 years she has "changed". (duh, who hasn't). Anyhow, they are mad that she doesnt go out and get drunk with them all the time etc.
so, as she is crying I told her that she is gettig older and just realizes that she doesn' t need to drink to have a good time. She starts crying harder that aren't her friends getting older to? I said well, they are but they are stuck in a stage of life and she has mmoved on. Anyhow, the conversation didn't go well. She quickly got off the phone with me, and then will hardly talk to me today. Any advice on what I should say to her?

Nimble- You are a brave soul for waiting to see what sex the baby (is it twins?) is (are).
I know we had our daughter's name picked out years before she was born and it didn't change at all. WE absolutely love it. Didn't think there were many with her name....we were wrong...lots with her name.

Hello ladies!!!
whew, this has been one busy couple of days, let me tell you!! We're in total paint rush! I'm fried! but tonight, hopefully, I'll finish the paint job. Then we can clean the whole house this weekend (thanx to the plastering sanding! that dust does get EVERYWHERE).

Sorry to hear that the conversation did not go well with your friend. Unless she understands her own reactions, I guess there is nothing you could say to calm her down. Sometimes it's best to cry it out and then look back and take stock of the situation. I wouldn't let time fly too much, however, because you don't want that silence to put distance between you guys. But if I were you, when I'd talk to her again, I'd simply ask her what made her so upset last time you talked... was it something you said, something you didn't understand, some need she had that you didn't fulfill? Maybe there's a misunderstanding? Either way, do talk again soon... my best friend of 15 years and I almost "broke up" last year because of a silly misunderstanding. We communicated by email (she wouldn't return my calls because she was mad at me) and it made things much worse. We're VERY lucky we were able to patch things back together, because the misunderstandings were really piling up and making things worse and worse... I hope you guys will figure that out very soon and that your friend feels better.

Yeah, I read mixed reviews about the new X-Files. Never watched the series, so I guess I wouldn't be a good judge. We'll probably manage to see Dark Knight this weekend though. Supposed to be a masterpiece, we'll see. I wonder how much those reviews are biased by the very natural human tendency to praise someone's work when something like that happens (e.g. Ledger's death of course).
As for me, things are going well. Now taking a max of meds; 5 pills in the morning, yay! AF showed up faster than expected, I now have my dates. U/s on the 11th, FET on the 13th or 14th, most likely the latter. Strange how things seem to happen fast this time... must be because I'm a veteran now, and I don't focus too much on it. But hey, I'm back to ticker mode, and I'm happy about it!
