Think things have moved though, I was in agony yesterday so much that I couldn't walk, not contractions but think it was the pelvic bone/muscles being stretched.

Good morning ladies.

Nims- WOW!!! You are already at 40 weeks and nothing. I hope your little one makes their grand appearance soon. Hopefully the discomfort the other night was a sign that things are progressing QUICKLY. We are so anxious to see your little one.
Are your bags all packed?

Miracle- As much as I would love to tell you guys that I had a Miracle Natural Pregnany, it would truely be a miracle as I don't have any tubes. I so want another one, but it just doesn't seem to be in the cards...at least one of our own. Talked more about adoption this weekend and will be seriously looking into it around Christmas time.

Chriss- You are so good to not think (do) any school work while on your vacation. I can get into our new school on Wednesday, so you better bet your bottom that I will be there. Part of it is being a new school, I have 48 boxes to unpack, and not sure where everything is going to go. Also, I am teaching a new grade this year, so feel I really need to prepare now for it. We actually have to report back to school on the 18th, so just around the corner.

WElcome newbies. It is always fun to have new people around. this is a really good group of ladies to be associated with :D

Well, ladies, I am in quite a bit of pain. DD and I have been going swimming almost every day for two weeks now. Well, I was a little sunburned and it started to peel. Well, on Friday, I burned over the burn and now I have lovely blisters on the upper part of my leg. It hurts so much to do anything....wear clothes, sleep, walk, you name it. I hope this goes away quickly.

Good morning everyone!

Whew, what a weekend!!! We accomplished so much, it's crazy. We've been renovating the new house since April, and now we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!!! Woohoo!!! We were able to clean the house a lot during the weekend, plus we moved a couple of pieces of furniture around (we now have a closet in our bedroom! What a luxury, lol!), the kitchen is as good as done; still have the plug the inox fan/hood above the stove and do the grout on the backsplash, but you should see it, it's really my dream kitchen! I had meditation on Saturday morning, we went to see Dark Knight in the evening. Very good movie; a bit complicated at times, we'll probably rent it to understand the little details here and there. Heath Ledger was truly scary as the Joker; yes, by all means, give that guy a posthumous oscar!!!! Tragic story or not, that guy truly did a masterful performance! Wow! He stole the show. Loved Gary Oldman, too, his character is not the typical policeman. Some critics found him bland, but I love his character's personality, and his portrayal of it.

Then on Sunday, cooking, cooking and some cooking! Had made a red velvet cake the previous day... can't believe the two of us ate 2/3 of it already (it's a two-layer cake!). I baked English muffins, 4 loaves of whiole-wheat bread, a big rosemary foccacia loaf and a whole dish of cannellonis. I moved my clothes to my new closet, cleaned our two bathrooms, tidied up some surfaces that were invaded with miscellaneous objects (moving/renos) and we installed the gazebo on the terrace above the garage. We had dinner there, it was just lovely. DH was very busy too, cleaning the floors and building the closets upstairs, running some errands, installing my beloved shelves in the kitchen...

Unfortunately, our new neighbors across the street are a real pain in the neck... when they partied loudly with friends and music outside around the pool all weekend last weekend, I thought, "Hey, it's just their housewarming party, no big deal." But they did it again this weekend! Both days! From the end of the morning until after dinner. Can you believe this? Children that get excited around the pool and squeal and scream, adults too, pop music non-stop all afternoon and evening... grrrrr... I'm not antisocial, but I would NEVER impose my music on neighbors.

FET is indeed coming, but I don't think about it too much. I just try to make my plans accordingly. For example, we still have to move heavy stuff around a little bit, and we'll try to get it done by next week. And I told DH that, starting next week, I won't be able to stain and varnisk aaaaaaall the doors that we bought for the house, because it's toxic. Tee hee hee, I don't mind passing on that chore. Other than that, I'm taking lots of meds right now and preparing mentally to pay the fee next week. Geez, they increased it; 250$ more than it was on February! Hey, don't tell me the staff's salary has increased so much! We really are at their mercy...

Okay! Let's get personal!

hrobinson,
How are you doing today darling? Thank you sweetie for what you said about my writing! Wow... I was really touched. English is not my first language (French is), so what you said meant a lot. I've been writing on and off for about 17 years now, but I started writing in English in 2005. I wrote my first novel and I was very proud (fanfiction, not something I could really publish other than on the net). I had a wonderful editor and my English improved tenfold as a result. Still have a lot of work to do, though, still make simple mistakes. I'd really like to give novel-writing another try, but it's quite discouraging when you know the average shelf-life of novels nowadays. Here, if you don't sell enough copies in a month, your book is sent back to the editing house. Reeeeally hard to get through as an author. Because of that, I lack the motivation.

Pisces and Glosbird, welcome!!! Glad to make your acquaintance!

Pisces,
Good luck on your first attempt dear! Lots of baby dust to you! :D As for IVF working on first attempt, let me tell you this. The drugstore where I buy my meds specialises in fertility drugs, so they see a LOT of IVFers. Someone who works there told me she noticed people tend to get BFPs either on their first or third attempt. Strangely, the second attempts seems less successful! I became pregnant my third attempt, but look at the tickers.. it's funny to see BFPs on attempts #1 and #3. Of course it's highly subjective, not at all scientific, but let's pray it happens to you: I wish you a BFP on your first attempt! :D

Glosbird,
congrats on having your trial funded Yippee! :D To answer your questions, I live in Montreal, I go to Procrea clinic, I have to pay for my treatments but we get a 30-40% tax refund here. Which is highly criticized by the people who try to plead our cause at the government, because even if we get a tax refund, the money still goes in the clinics' pockets because they can increase their fees all they want. Luckily, DH is a chemist and works for a big pharmaceutical company; we have good insurance, and we only pay 20% of our IVF meds. It makes a big difference of course. I am currently awaiting my second FET; for details, check my ticker! ;)

Wishful,
LOL, Dh still getting drunk? Tksssss! I'm happy to hear that you liked Mamma Mia! :D What's the story exactly? Oh and the one who loves reality shows must be H. I like So you think you can dance, but only for the dance part... ;)

Shantala,
How did the little cutie behave on the trip to Germany? At that age, I guess she was asleep most of the time...? How are you doing?

Nimble: sorry your little treasure is making you wait! You must really be looking forward to meet him or her! Keep us posted; I hope your apt will speed things up! ;) Keeping everything crossed for you! :D

Miracle,
Yep, I have patients. I'm an onco-psychologist and I work in a hospital. Things are always slower during the summer... far less patients. It will kick right back in September! That leaves me plenty of time to chat with you guys!

And to all others, hope you're doing well, and have a great day!

Hi there PMA!!!! I am with Hrobinson....I love to read your posts as well. You are a very well written girl!!! I cannot believe english isn't your first language. You ought to be very proud of yourself. I know english is a tough language to learn! Good job on all of your accomplishments this weekend!! You rock!! I loved The Dark Knight too!!! I agree, Heath Ledger did an AWESOME JOB at the joker. I hope he does win an award!!

 thanks Miracle  Your comment about Ledger made me think about something, LOL! The FET protocol has me take antibiotics for 7 days, and I must take food with the pills... so the morning after we saw Dark Knight, I stuffed my face on a small piece of the cake I had baked the day before, and then I came back to bed and snuggled. He saw me lick the corners of lips (icing) and he exclaimed, "Oh no, don't tell me you've caught the Joker's tic?" LOL it was so cute!

PMA- I cannot believe English is not your first language. You speak (write) so beautifully. I took French from about 3rd grade through 10th grade. I however cannot speak it or write it to save my life. You will have to let us know if you end up writing a novel. I would love to check it out. By the way, what type of writing do you do?

Wishful- Sorry that it is lightening and thundering there. I also hate those type of storms. I love rain, but not everything that comes with it. OOOHHH, you are watching Big Brother. I LOVE IT!!!!! I was so tired last night, but had to stay up just to watch who got nominated. Love it

Nims- HOw did the sweep go? Did it put you into labor? I feel for you. I Hope your little one comes soon.

Miracle- Ya dh and I talked more about adoption. WE would adopt from anywhere. Most likely we are going to try to adopt locally, because it seems cheaper than if we were to go out of the country. HOwever, we would take any child.

Nims...I know you are at the Dr right now, but I am hoping your little baby decides to make its grand entrance!!!! Praying you have a easy & safe delivery...Yeah, I can understand that you will have to watch The Dark Knight on DVD!!! Take car hun...

Hi Carolyn!!!! YEA!!! I will have a buddy most of the day!!! Have you heard anything from Angel??? I am so proud of you and your DH. You both are so inspiring. (about using DE) There are a lot of people that couldnt/wouldnt do it. If I was in that situation, I would absolutely do the same thing!!!

Hrobinson... you and your DH are awesome too. That is really cool you guys want to adopt. I have a friend who just adopted from China. She is such a doll. They waited over two years for her. Is it faster in the US?

Sophie...how are you love?? So glad your renovations are just about done.

Where are our new FRIENDS...PISCES & GLOSBIRD...!!! I hope they havent ditched us too....

I hope you all have a great day...I will be checking back...So that means to stick around, Carolyn!!!!

Same for Ang and Becky .. Becky must be about to start to cycle again .. if your reading but not posting ... big hugs and lots of love to you all .. you know where we are when you need us

Its raining here and soooo cold .. need to put on a jumper - dang british summer .. and we are off camping at weekend - DH is going Diving and I will sit on beach .. in the sun Hopefully .. with other dive widows or perhaps shop
