hi everyone - wow this board has gotten slow over the past couple of weeks! hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

jenice - so relieved to hear the baby is still snuggling tight with you. i can only imagine how nerve-wracking this past week must have been, glad DH is taking good care of you. thinking of you!! this is your time, and the little fighter is going to hang in there!

dandme/ sonya - i am so sorry sweetie about your blighted ovum. i was so hoping this would be your time.

annpage - congrats on 2 sacs & hb! i have been lurking on the summer board, how exciting! have you gotten over the shock yet?

anna hope - congrats on nicely raising betas. good luck for your u/s!

mellow - isn't that wait to the u/s worse than the 2ww?? wishing you the best.

afm - well we had a fantastic vacation. spent 4 days in prague and 5 in portugal around a work trip. portugal was amazing, i'd go back again in a heart beat. massage, yoga on the grass, walking on the beach, it felt amazing. it was so hard to stick to the "pregnancy do not eat" list - fresh seafood, cured meats, unpasteurized cheeses everywhere. i was a good girl but it was torture. we had a big scare on the flight home yesterday, i started bleeding (no clots) so we went straight from the airport to the ER. it was not gushing but it was definitely more than spotting. i was pretty freaked. my cervix was still closed and we saw TWO babies w/ good HB, but i have a big pool of blood nxt to one of them (can't remember the scientific name) and that it may be the beginning of a m/c or it could be just nothing. so i was prescribed 2 days of bedrest. i am both excited about twins and so scared. keep me in your thoughts. i have an u/s scheduled w/ my RE on thu and the ER doc said if the blood goes away by then it will be a really good sign. can't wait til thu.

best wishes to all.

Julia: Sounds like you had a great vacation!! Did you know you were having twins? I hope everything will be ok. Just like they said rest up. Good luck on Thursday keep us posted.

AFM: From my 2nd Beta my nurse mentioned it may be multiples, so my DH & I kindof knew but now with the 3rd Beta & u/s
the RE saw 2 gestational sacs but 1 w/yoke & the other didn't have one. My 3rd Beta is 6906. My nurse called me & said it may be single or twins but not sure. There is definitely 1 pregnancy not sure of the other. It may or may not develop.
My next bloodwork & u/s is 8/5. We'll know more then. In the mean time trying to eat healthy & rest up.

Julia - Thanks for the well wishes. I have a sub- chorionic hemmorhage which is a blood clot on the placenta, is that what your DR said or is it something else ? My blood clot is still there :x It has been almost 2 weeks, I wonder how long it will take to heal. Plus I keep spotting brown ever since. I know the baby is doing well, heart rate is 165 and baby is measuring well. I'll feel better if the blood clot were gone. Hope you are doing well :D I 'll keep you in my thoughts, ohhhh and congrats on twins :D :D

hi jenice - yes, that's sub-crhionic hemmorrahage is what the RE called it when i went on thu. they measured 3 clots, 2 that were 1cm x 1cm, and 1 that was 2 cm x 1 cm. the RE said that it was really low risk b/c they are so small. they are in my uterus but not on the placenta. we saw the 2 babies again on thu and everything looks good - good hb and measuring good. they said i'd probably pass the blood in these 3 clots unless my body absorbe it, but that they weren't too worried about it, that it happens in 1 out of 20 pregnancies and the risk of m/c is low when the clots are small.
it's starting to sink in that it will be twins.
how are you feeling? hope you have not had any more scary episodes in recent weeks.

Julia - I'm doin okay, no more big scares. I still continue to spot brown blood every day, YUCK !!!! My blood clot is on the placenta which meant I had started to miscarry. I had gushed lots of blood and big blood clots but no pain. I'm not allowed to do any heavy lifitng, no sex, and rest frequently. Twins sound like fun :D I am a twin myself. Is this your first baby ? We secretly wanted twins but it isn't happening :( My body wouldn't take well to having two anyway. I already have high blood pressure and am overweight and 38 and now the blood clot. Thankfully I am not working this time. With my DD I was and towards the end my pregnancy sucked. I couldn't breath I had fast pulse rate, high blood pressure and became borderline pre- eclampsia. Pregnancy doesn't go well with me, unfortunately. How far along are you ? Are you going to find out the sex of the babies ? I can't wait ti fing out. I am 9 weeks now, so maybe another 9 more weeks to find out. :D :D

Annashope- Any news? Weren't you scheduled for an ultrasound today? I was thinking about you and praying all is well. My ultrasound is monday, if all is well I am supposed to be 7 weeks, that day. We will see how things go.

Jenice and Julia- Sub-chorionic hemorrhages can take weeks to heal. I had one that lasted well into the second trimester before. I have had some that bleed out and are super scary with cramping and have also had it just be absorbed. Mine were at the site of the placenta as well, so very scary stuff. Just follow Dr. orders and hopefully sooner rather than later they will be gone. :)

Hello there Mellow,

I usually post on the "Summer Cycle" group, but I wanted to wish you the best on your u/s on Monday. You, me and Anna(shope) are in similar situations...as you can see by my signature below (although your second beta jumped a lot higher than mine).

I have a 4th Beta scheduled for Monday and then they will schedule my u/s. I too am worried about my low numbers, but am trying to remain hopeful. On Monday I will be 4 weeks past retrieval--or 6 weeks "traditionally pregnant"...I think I am about 1 week behind you?

Hope that you have a restful weekend and that you get great news on Monday! You are in my prayers!

Hi Margi, Thanks for your prayers. I really appreciate it, and I hope things turn out well for you. This part of the waiting is even harder than the 2ww. There is nothing easy about being in limbo as to whether you are carrying a viable pregnancy or not. Here's to hoping! :)

Hey gals,

Much to my surprise, we saw a little heartbeat today. I am in shock. The baby is measuring a little small, but the RE assured me that it's fine. We will wait and see how things go, another u/s next Monday. :) The first trimester is soooo stressful, especially after what we have been through. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, we appreciate them so much.

Mellow: WOOHOOO!!!! Congratulations girl! That is fabulous...I am so happy for you--and it give me hope. I am not having many symptoms--other then sore breasts (which could just be from the progesterone) and being tired....I had my blood drawn today and will be nervously awaiting "the call" tomorrow morning from my clinic to let me know my 4th beta level and if/when u/s will be scheduled.

Again--congratulations! Enjoy!!!! Celebrate!!

Mellow4 yay!!!! congrats!!! this is very inspiring. Did they tell you your beta by any chance? how far along are you?

Margi hang in there!!! keeping my fingers crossed for you sweety...we need more inspiring stories.

We are in limbo...stopped pio on fri and no m/c so far. I am not sure what is going on. I had a hpt left over and just out of curiosity I took it and it still came up instantly and was super bright... Don't know what to think now. My nurse told me that bleeding usually starts within a day but it has been 4 days...I think our emotions are trashed! I would be so happy for a miracle right now but this has been just too emotional since we began grieving the loss and it hasn't happened. Next appt on fri to check how the levels are so until then don't know anything

Annashope...maybe you should request another beta to ease your mind on what is going on. I am actually sitting here praying for a miracle for you. I am not sure that I remember all the details...can you remind me? Are your sticks getting darker than before?

Okay...I just went and found your info. I really dont understand your RE. An ultrasound a 5 weeks 5 days ...may very well not show a sac ...if you implanted late...from what I understand. Your betas were increasing...slowly but still increasing. I think there could be a chance that your RE jumped the gun on this. I would definitely ask for another beta today.

Also, since your last beta was in the 500's ...your stick will naturally be nice and dark for awhile yet...till your beta numbers drop below 25.
