Hello girlies,

I wanted to say hi, and boy, lots of things happened this week.

Miracle,
Sweetheart, this must not be easy right now... I'm sorry for your loss; were you and your grandma very close? I'm sure there's nothing much I can say except that my thoughts are with you and that I send you lots of warm and loving *HUGS* I've said it in private, and I'm happy to write it again; you're very brave to stay here and chat with all those ladies who can give tmt a try while it's still out of reach for you. It shows how big your heart is, and I admire you for that, really. Angel's suggestions are interesting; have you checked into them? Maybe she could give you more precise tips... like which clinics do studies? I've seen a documentary lately about IVF. And a couple from here went to a clinic in Mexico that claims it has 90% efficacy. And they became pregnant. And it was cheaper than the clinics here, which are in turn cheaper than the US tmt costs! Are you really sure your FIL can't help...? What a shame, that whole situation... it makes me SO angry to see sweet couples like you and DH, who could be wonderful and appreciative parents, not have access to tmt because of money! Argh! and *HUGS*...

Carolyn,
Haven't followed the latest developments lately, but I understand that things are looking good for the Prague clinic, even if tmt seems too far away (gosh, 6-7 months is an eternity... *hugs*). But I know that, if you become pregnant then, those 6 months will be forgotten in a minute! And I certainly wish you that!

Angel, Becky, how exciting that you're giving IVF another go! I'll sure read your posts, and I send you tons of sticky baby dust! Can't wait to see your tickers change! :D

To all the others, have a great weekend! :D

Morning Ladies :)

Well have i had an interesting past few days!!

Yesterday i was suffering really badly from chest pains (!!) Quite scarey, altho i have had these before and am always complaining of them - i usually dont do nothing about it, just wait for them to go, an carry on as normal! Yesterday was different, for some reason i felt the need to ring the DR for an appt ... whhich i had at 5.15 yesterday evening!

I had to have an ECG (which doc said was ok) But hav to have cholestrol test on Monday morning, my blood pressure was raised (!) 160/60 (anyone know if this is bad or not??) Great stuff! When i told him my brother (who is just 4 years older than me) has been diagnosed with angina (about 5 years ago when he was 39/40) - the alarm bells started to ring with Dr,. so now i have to take cholestrol tablets and asprin for suspected ANGINA !!!!!!! Have to go on a running machine while im wired up to heart a heart monitor!!! I dont mind that so much, at least we will get an anwser, its just that i told him i was starting IVF in 2 weeks - he was very nice about it but said that - Angina is life threatening!!! IVF can be done any time!!!
Dunno what to do now, i dont want to delay yet another month of tmt ...
He said he doesnt think its angina, but just to be sure ... i really dont suspect that it is either, but yet looking up symptoms of mild angina on the internet (i know, bad move lol) i do seem to have the correct symptoms they state!

On the good news side:

We have got our schedule in the post this morning ... and im only d/regging for (wait for it)

18 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D

That has to be a sign right! EC is 17 Nov, ET 19th Nov and Test date is 3rd Dec ...

We are going to talk to our clinic on the 13th at our planning appt to see what they say - IF they suggest we wait until nxt mth - this is what we will do  but if they say that the medication etc wont make a difference (and hopefully before i inject first injection i will have had the test results back - and hopefuly all ok) then we will go ahead :)

Im ready for this ladies ..... im just praying that all tests come back normal (well as normal as anything can be for me anyhow lol)

Hope everyone else is doing well ....

Soph, lovely to hear from u hun (as alway) hows things with u, have u had any scans yet???? What thread are u in so i can keep my beady eye on u - love to u an wee one (s) xxxx

Angel: Have u got ur schedule yet, do u have any dates for anything, ohhhh i hope i get to cycle with u this mth (i have a funny feeling i be ok, so prob will) xxx

Carolyn: U will NOT be on that list when ur 50 young lady lol ... this is gonna work for u this time, i just know it ... it has to - we are the Three Musketeers an we do everything together dont we??

One for all ... And all for one :D

Miracle ... Xxxxxx and lots of hugs for u sweetie, hope ur ok xxxxx

Everyone else - WHERE IN THE HELL ARE U ALL?????

ICSI, Rachel, Shantala, Hope, Steph ... would be lovely to hear from u ladies ... we do miss u xxxxxx

Becky,

You have had a scare alright. Hope you are feeling better. I know you don't want to hear this right now,but getting your overall health sorted out is a priority. I do hope that all your test results clear you. Let us know what happens.

Oh Rach, big hugs to you. I do hope you feel better soo. Try to do things that make you happy, simple things like a walk in the park with Ruby, walk in the shopping centre, sit in a coffee shop and read, watch some girlie movies.....I dunno. I'm not too familiar with post natal depression when when I went through an episode of depression, I found that I felt much better doing something nice for myself once a day, no matter how small it was.

Don't feel like you can't come here when you feel down. We're here for each other, especially through the bad times. We want you to get better very soon. After all we will soon need you to do some follie dances for us, right

Take care of yourself.

Hi becky - OMG how scary - hope you are feeling better now - how long do you have to wait for all the test results?

I am sure it won't affect treatment but getting yourself sorted first is more important - whats another month!!

take care hon ((()))

Rachel - sending you big hugs lovey - I think Angels advice is excellent - I cannot relate to how you are feeling, however you must try and do something special just for you each day.. write a list of all the positive good things in your life and in those down moments just look at it to re focus your mind as to how lucky you really are .. and any excuse for a pamper sounds good to me :D

Are you back at work yet??

Take care and please do keep coming to talk to us - we all miss you xx

Hi Carolyn, how are you today? Retail therapy sounds perfect for the weekend. Thats my plan for this weekend.

We met up with some friends yesterday - that don't have kids yet. It was real good fun and we all had such a laugh. We talked about everything under the sun except babies and it was quite refreshing.

Work is a bit calmer - I'm only doing 10 hour days now  Actually I'm quite annoyed by the fact that I was promised some time off in lieu of the long hours I put in and the converstion we had last week implied that wasn't going to happen. So I asked directly and just got some ummmm.....and arrrr..........ing. I was told that since we have a few ongoing projects that I'm leading on and have established client relationship......etc it would be beneficial if I was on site. Beneficial to them of course :x And that I could work reduced hours. I refused to do that and said that going home 1 hour early is not going to be of any use to me at all. I want some proper time off that I don't come into work or pick up my work phone. I was grudgingly told that I could have a day off some time this week.

oh angel - you are obviously indispensable  - all that hard work - hope they at least thanked you ???

What you got planned for your 'day off' then ??

Days with friends with no kids are the best - unfortunately all our friends have kids and we are only ones who don't

off to the gym now - only 19 days till holiday so got to burn some fat off :D

catch you later

Hello my favorite friends!!! WOW! I had a lot to catch up on!! I love it!!! 8)

So sorry I havent posted sooner. I know you girls are probably done for the day. Today was my first day back to work and wouldnt you know that no one did any of my work!!!! :x  Seriously...they didnt do one thing. Oh wait...they did stack everything neatly on my desk and in my mailbox....   So now I now how you feel Angel love...Now it is my turn. I am trying hard to catch up. But guess what...no stressing out...NOPE wont help so I am not doing it!!! Hopefully I can keep it up!!

First of all, thank you ladies for all of your support on my Grandmother's death and my gloominess...is that spelled right? I get so mad at myself when I become an Eeyore...I try so hard to stay positive and upbeat. Oh Sophie (and anyone else who asked) yes we were close. Growing up my sister and I used to spend the weekend with her all the time. I know she is much better off with God, she isnt suffering or in pain anymore. She had breast cancer, had her breasts removed, she had a pace maker for her heart, she had cancer on the brain, had that removed then they found her lungs loaded with cancer. She didnt want to do radiation or Chemo as this would not cure it just prolong her life. She felt she rather live the best she can now instead of living the next six months terribly sick. So Grandma really was a tough ol' broad!!! And I mean that in the highest respect. She will be deeply missed but she is Home and looking upon us. Thanks again ladies... all of you.

Angel and the rest that brought up shared tmt. I have finally got off my arse and contacted the clinic about it. I am waiting to hear back from them. I have nooo problem doing a shared IVF. I dont know who to contact about doing a tmt for a study. I will ask the clinic when they call me back if they know who I should contact.

Yes, I have thought about going out of Country to get tmt. I have found at the Czech Republic we can do it for about $6000 VS $12500. I am just scared about going out of country.

Becky...praying that your results come back in your favor and doesnt interrupt your tmt!!!!

Angie...thinking of you.

Ok...I am sorry this post seems all about me...I will be better tomorrow. I promise. Oh and YES inventory is DONE!!!!! WHOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
