Helloooo Becky,

Congratulations on your weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is fantastic. Now I feel awful that I haven't really done enough in that area. You must be well pleased with yourself. Can you continue SW through tmt??

Dunno much about BP numbers and all that. I take it that means your pressure is down, and therefore a good thing??? :?

Hi Hun,

Yeah it down an it a good thing :) a perfect BP should read about 120/80 so being at 160/60 on Friday scared me a bit - altho Dr didnt seem too worried, when i got it yesterday an it was down, i was chuffed :)

I can continue to do SW throughout tmt, and also through out pregnancy. They have a plan for pregnant women, an a form which the midwife must sign each visit, to give to slimming consultant to make sure u are within ur weight region :) so its a good diest, its just sticking to it thats the problem!

Im doing ok at the moment, but i usually do for a the first few weeks then i start to slide, im determined not to slide this time - if i do get pregnant, then i want to be healthy, an not fat (if u know what i mean) but again, thats easier said than done .... its not easy dieting as u know - its all down to will power and planning ur meals .... pretty hard once ur stuck at work till all the hours god sends like u :? how u manage it hun i dont know, u will ware urself out, now is the time that u should be looking after urself ... take it easy an stop doing too much at work :)

Xxx

   You sound like my Mum. She sent me a text the other day to order me to go home and look after myself before tmt starts.

I'm sooo tempted to take a sickie (or 2) before I start. :o

Great stuff on your blood pressure coming down. I know its really difficult to stay motivated, and that is my problem too. And I also know I am an emotional eater. But it probably helps in your case to be going to the class, right? And once you start shedding them pounds like you already have, you will feel more determined. Keep it up :)

One thing that I have been doing well though is taking healthy lunches in to work. As I reach home quite late and don't have much time, its usually boring stuff, but keeps me from buying anything full of fat. But the evenings then go downhill. I feel tired and cranky and don't care what I put into my mouth :( .

Any magic pills that will make me lose a stone?

Fraid not hun - i wud need a few of them as i really do need to lose at least 3 stone to be in the healthy range - an to look gawjuss, it wud be 4 lol ...

I mite not be able to start tmt now a week Fri

Ive just got off the phone to the 'rapid heart an chest clinic' u kno i have to go for a running test before i can start the ivf ... well they cant get me in until Oct 16th (the day before i start) I asked if all was ok, could she tell me all was ok, an she said yes - but then she said ... a lot of the tests come back inconclusive or unreadable that no good to me ... i need an anwser as to weather i can do this or not, an she said - it maybe better if u delayed an go for the next cycle - now ive sat here an worked that out ... it will fall in Dec (xmas time) = hols for the clinic - so mite even have to wait until Jan

Im really peeved about that .... mega peeved off, i dont want to wait until Jan - i know its not that far away, but i wanna strike while the iron is hot (so to speak) im so ready for this now, its taken a long time to get to this stage again an now its looking likely that we will have to delay

I dont want to ....

Hello Welshgirl38,

I am so sorry to hear of your chest pain episode. I have to say that I agree with your physician; you really need to be checked out by the stress test. I am a Registered Nurse and I used to recover open heart patients who had to go through surgery after heart attacks or potential heart attacks. The good thing is that your EKG didn’t show any abnormalities because it will show if you have had a major or minor heart attack in the past or if your heart is suffering from a lack of blood supply. Just think of the delay as a better reassurance to you and your family. Do you have any chest pain while you are exercising? Also, your blood pressure of 160/60 may have been high because you were in pain (chest pain) or just walked a distance to the office or if you were nervous about your visit and what they might say.

Stay positive because I am sure everything will work out for you. We will be praying for you…!

Becks - well done you on weight loss!!!

I agree with others I think you need to ensure your body is in tip top shape for next cycle - for you and your BFP - and if you do have to delay you will be a right skinny minx by january!!!

Hope can manage to sort out in time to cycle this month

Huge hugs honey xxxx

I'm sorry hun, I have to agree with the others. Its far more important to get these things sorted out before tmt. Think about it - you don't really want these kind of scares after you get your BFP, do you?

So Becky, if this running test came out with ok results then you can start the next day right? Just wondering, cause then there is still a chance you can cycle this month.

Also the other thing is that you have done your own calculations which makes you think the dates fall over X-mas. But if your AF is erratic there is every chance that you could start tmt in Nov and your ER & ET dates may fall just before or just after X-mas? If you go private, most of the clinics do try and accomodate you - they just won't do the ER or ET . Talk to your clinic and get them to work out the options for you.

Hugs to you!!!

Carolyn,

How are the appraisals going? So you are gonna give some people some bitter facts about their work? :o YOU GO GIRL!!!!! Give them an earful for me too. I have about had it with incompetent people since the past couple of months.

Maybe I should not say these things just yet, I have my appraisal coming soon  But I've held off giving my reviews until then - if I get lots of criticism, I need to pass it on........ Just kidding!!!!

I'm trying not to let work stress me out. It can't be doing me any good and there are far more important things to be thinking about.

Miracle,

Now that your inventory is over we thought you'd come out to play. But I'm here on me own :(

Well done you on getting info on studies and egg share. Unfortunately we don't really have that many studies here. So if we go private we have to fork out the cost of tmt ourselves. On the other hand, you can get all the investigations/ tests/ procedures done on the health system, so that really helps even though we moan about the waiting lists.

Keep us informed hun.

Hi lovelies!!!!!

Sorry I wasnt about yesterday. My supervisor is out for 8 weeks (at least), she is having back surgery. So...I am picking up her duties. Love doing supervisor work at my pay!! But it is ok. Just busy!

Oh Becky! I am terribly sorry to hear tmt has been post poned. I know what that is like... I know this doesn't make you feel better but I also agree with the girls. Get your body in tip top so when you do your tmt everything will be fine for your embie!!! I am with you if your cycle would put you doing tmt over holidays, i would wait until January too. Holidays are so stressful and you do not need the added stress. Especially when holidays make us IF people yearn even more for their miracle! I hope everything works out. In fact, I am sure it will. Just remember, everything happens for a reason. I know it doesnt help but sometimes when I get down about tmt I tell myself that. God has a plan for us!!! BIG HUGS LOVE!!!!

Angel, my dear!! I am here!!! So sorry to hear you are still very busy at work. I am glad you are trying not to stress. It can be very overwhelming, I know. Just remember when you start to get stressed, take a deep breath! 8) Are you going to be able to take any time off during your tmt?

Carolyn!!! How are you? Have you heard anything from Prague yet? Big dummies! I can only imagine how frustrating that is!

OOOHHHH SOPHIE!! Where are you?? Hope everything is going great!!!

Steph...where are you? I thought you would be around more... Not long now until you meet those precious babies!!!! hope you arent to uncomfortable!

Chriss..if your reading I am thinking of you!!! i will respond to your PM soon!!! Sorry I am so slow!!

ICSI...thinking of you to girlie!! Miss you!!!

Hello ladies,

Just a quick note, but I think about you every day! :D

Becky,
I was absolutely devastated to hear about your chest pain issues threatening your tmt. I know how it feels like, and it's really hard to bear. I mean, all you ask for is a smooth ride, one clean little cycle, you don,t even assume it will work, you just want as little drama as possible. And bang! something happens and complicates everything. I'm so sorry sweetheart. *HUGS* I agree with the others, though. It's better to get tested and delay your cycle if you're not in shape right now. Last time I became pregnant, I had a swollen tube, and with the pregnancy hormones, it became 4 times bigger than my uterus. There's a chance it contributed to my miscarriage; we should have postponed the cycle and schedule my surgery sooner. You'll need a strong heart and good circulation to carry a baby (or two... or more!) to term. Worst case scenario, your tmt will be postponed a few months, but not cancelled, and you'll give yourself the best chance by waiting until your body is in perfect shape. A few months, after a long wait, do seem like forever, but at least you'll know you gave yourself and your embies the best chance. That's worth a lot. *hugs* Hang in there sweetie, and I hope your test will be conclusive and allow you to carry on with a peace of mind.

Angel, sorry to hear that things are still busy at work! whew!! You,re right, life isn't just about work, there are plenty of other things to think about, and enjoy... and dream about too! :) When do you plan to start your tmt? This month?

Geez Carolyn, that Prague clinic seems really slow!!! I hope they call back soon!

Miracle,
Hi sweetie! How are you doing? Has the blues passed a bit? Can't believe they add to your tasks at work and don't increase your pay. It's a shame!!! At least you have fun, but really, they don't show you appreciation as much as they should!!!

As for me, things are good. My PIL will leave Sunday, and I'll sure miss them. We spend our evenings playing cards and Scrabble, and we have a lot of fun. The dog trainer will come tonight for a second session; we'll work hard, but the dogs have improved that's for sure. Our new dog Toulouse escaped on Monday, lots of drama, but fortunately the police found him and brought him back home. Silly boy... we first had to delay his surgery because he had sinusitis, and now it's delayed because he has to have his second round of vaccines! Grrr! But he'll lose his virility on October 22nd, and hopefully after that, he won't have the "hot runs" anymore! ;) Other than that, he's still totally adorable and gets along well with our other dog.

Hugs and kisses,

Sophie xxox
