Good morning ladies!

Wow, lots of posts! yay!!!!

Carolyn,
I'm absolutely thrilled that you had a good experience at the spanish clinic! Looks like it really clicked with them! Was it the same for DH? Wow, it really seems like that doctor has the dexterity it takes! And geez, we CAN tell the difference! Yes we can! ;) Their stats are quite impressive too! Quite similar to my clinic's! Ooooh I got a good feeling about all this Carolyn!!! You're going to be PUPO very soon!!!! When will you leave for Prague? I hear it's absolutely lovely during the holidays... Oh, and about names, we have a problem. My husband rejects a name if he's known a person with that name. Can you see the challenge here? It's not even about remembering bad experiences about someone he knew and so on... no! If he's known someone with that name at some point during his life, the name is out! So after submitting several lists, and about 10 names yesterday (all were rejected), I gave up. He agreed to scan the web before the birth and come up with a list himself then. He wants to do it at the last minute, but I'll try and make him do it during my 8th month. I think it's a good compromise. So far, the only name we agreed on is Jeremy. It's quite rare nowadays, and lovely in French (Jérémie), so it's a keeper! I want to have three choices at the time of the delivery; we'll make the final choice once we get to know the baby better.

Hi Rachel!
SO GLAD to hear that Ruby is feeling better!!! Way to go little cutie! Ooooh how nice that she's getting excited about Xmas! Did you get a chance to do the decorations? I bet she wants to grab everything and looks at all the bright and sparkly stuff with wide eyes! How are you feeling?

Angel,
Hello sweetie! So glad to hear that you've allowed yourself to indulge a little during the holidays! :) Yay! If you're interested, I can give you a recipe TO DIE FOR! Oh my GOD I never thought a vegan chocolate cake could be so decadent! And with no eggs and only 5 tbsp of oil, it's super low calories too! :D Tell me if you're interested! ;) That being said, *HUGS* my poor thing you sound quite at the end of your rope. Seriously, I feel for you dear. I wish your boss could just allow you to take it easy and relax. Do you take time off between Xmas and the New Year? I sure hope so, so you can have a long break between the two, regroup, pamper yourself and spend time with DH, friends and relatives maybe... do things you like and recharge the batteries. Gosh, I wish I could send you a big pack of giddiness and energy in a nicely wrapped box to give you a nice boost! You're really.. an angel to ask about the nursery in a moment like this. Yes, I've picked a theme; the forest. Green, cream with red and brown accents (red and white mushrooms, brown branches and animals).

Su,
we don't know each other but I agree with the others! Your boy is GORGEOUS! :D

Miracle!
Hi darling! I sure missed you! Yeah, sorry about not posting much yesterday. I decided to work from home because the sidewalks were extremely slippery, I had to attend a meeting in one part of the city and then travel back to my hospital just for one patient... not worth the risk. However, I finally sat down and worked 12 hours in a row on building a website. So yeah, I worked too much yesterday but it was worth it, tiring, but not stressful at all. That website is my pride and joy and I accumulated a whole day of overtime, which I'll take during the holidays! ;) And yes, of course, I've planned my Xmas menu weeks ago. We'll have several appetizers, followed with a cream of celery soup. Then we'll have a wild mushroom Wellington with cranberry sauce, green beans, Duchesse potatoes and roasted root vegetables. Then a winter salad will follow (roasted cherry tomatoes and nuts with leafy greens and a simple dressing), and then we'll have a cranberry upside-down cake. Most recipes will be taken from Martha Stewart's Holidays Special magazine (except the Wellington and appetizers). If you're looking for a super simple and extraordinarily yummy appetizer that you can make all year long, go check this out:

http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/the- ... index.html

Just double the balsamic vinegar and you'll be in heaven. I'll never, EVER boil beets again my whole life! Roasting them's the best!

OH MY GOD I can't believe what your furdevils did!!!!! You must have been SO FURIOUS!!!! And it's really maddening, because you know you can't punish them by then. They understand what's going on, but they misbehaved too long ago and the punishment is useless... what a mess! Oh, it's maddening to find this at the end of a hard day's work!!! Did they break anything?? Looks like they had a belated reaction to the moving... I hope everything will be okay thsi evening! ;) My girl is the same. She KNOWS she did something stupid and bad, and the moment you pick the half-eaten thing up and look at her, her tail and ears just drop and she becomes real small... and you only have one word to say and she goes straight to the front door and stays there... for a couple minutes... and then, like a child, she'll tiptoe along the corridor and stretch her neck and take a peek to see if you're still mad... I often have to run to another room so she doesn't see me laugh, but it's absolutely irresistible, even if you're really mad. I can't resist those eyes.

Angie, how great to have news!!!! Carolyn asked me the same question for the name thing, and I answered her at the beginning of this post. ;) I can't wait to hear about how the interview went!!!! squeeeeee! How are YOU? busy-busy?? Oh and LOL, don't worry about the blow thing... since the beginning of the week, there were a couple of naughty posts here.. if you read between the lines.... ah, well...! :D:D:D

Becky,
Like I told Angie, thanks for asking about the name thing; I answered Carolyn about that, it's at the beginning of my post. As for the clothes, yeah, you bet I'm looking forward to Boxing Day specials! It's impossible to find unisex clothes here, only pjs... so it will be great to buy a couple of shirts, shorts, pants, sweaters and so on for my little guy. As for getting used to the idea (and yeah, my husband is 6' tall, so he's not "wee" LOL!), I've known since the 13th week that I was expecting a boy. I saw him on the monitor and it just clicked into place. So it was no surprise when the technician told us the gender. Oh, you're so lucky about finishing to work on Friday!!! I'M JEALOUS! I'll work on Monday and Tuesday too... but after that, I'll be away until January 6th! yay! :D looks like you'll be a super sexy mama for your posh party, you lucky girl!!! How about posting a picture here? :D

Okay ladies, I'm starving, gotta eat before my next patient is here! Take care lovelies!!!

Becky: You are awful! Laughing at my expense!!! I really couldn't believe they did that. I was really shocked. They have never done anything half as bad as that. Yeah, they broke quite a few of my ornaments. That is what makd me the most mad. OH NO! I could NEVER take them there!!!! My DH will joke about it and all I have to do is give him the look. He knows...if he were to take my babies there or try to give them away, he would be in divorce court!!! He loves them just as much as I do. But I have more patience with them then he does. Look at you...getting all pampered for your party. Sounds fantastic. I cant wait to get some pampering done myself. I love getting my hair, nails, toe nails, makeup done!! You feel like a QUEEN!!!!

Angie: OMG!!! Your Murphy is adorable. (i know that isnt him in the pic) Those dogs are so cute. I just want to squeeze him and give him hugs and kisses....My doggies are pit bulls. BUT WAIT!!!! DONT JUDGE THEM!!!! They are the sweetest, most well behaved (ok..most of the time) babies!!! How do you post pic's on here?? Tell me how and I will post one of my babies. If you had a MYSPACE you would be able to see them on there. But...you dont... :( Have you heard anything about DH's interview?

Sophie: WOW!! I should have known your menu would already be made!! It sounds soo yummy!!! So you do websites? It is for work? Like for advertisement?? Yeah, if the sidewalks are that slippery it is definitley not worth the risk. Oh, I keep meaning to ask...your DH is French right? Are you? I like the name Jeremy. Very classic and I think regal! OMG! You cracked me up referring to my dogs as furdevils!!! TOO FUNNY...i cant believe I didnt think of that. No, I couldnt spank them. You are right, it is too late. They know they did something wrong though, I didnt have to say anything to them. They stayed pretty quiet the rest of the night. My dogs do the same thing. They put their ears down and hunch down looking so sad. I have to walk away as well because they make me melt as well.

Hi Miracle!

The website thing was quite the exception. I'm part of the executive comittee for the Onco-Psychologists of Quebec and we wanted to have a website... and I knew how to make one so we agreed that it would be my task. it's just a professional website for the onco-psychologists in Quebec... Yup, DH is French, he's from Le Mans. I was born in Quebec, my father is a quebecker and my mother is belgian. However, I also have English blood from my great-grandmother. Thanks for your comments about the name Jeremy! I had the idea after watching an interview of Alan Rickman with Jimmy Kimmel. The latter mentioned Jeremy Irons during the interview and that's how it made me think that I had overlooked the name "Jeremy" in the name lists I had checked. I liked it, and DH too! ;) Phew!

Have a great evening sweetie, and I can't wait to figure out how we can post pics on the forum so we can show them our furbabies! ;)

hi girls!!! QUICKIE FOR ME!!!! 2 things...........

1 - to post pics......the ONLY way i even know "how" is to go into photobucket.com and they provide the "programming link" to copy/paste into forum like ours.....so maybe if you set up your own account w/ photobucket -- you'd automatically be able to have that link provided??? just a thought......otherwise -- have NO IDEA!!!

2 - dh phone interview.......nothing to write home about!!! found out during the conversation that they want this person to travel atleast 50% of the time to their other locations (both domestically and mostly mexico).....which neither of us are overly thrilled about.....so i'm guessin it's a no-go.....which is ok --- told him it was good practice if nothing else!

sorry can't stay and chat -- have monthly staff meeting that i have to prepare for!!!! will try to stop in later........

LOVE & HUGS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

Morning Carolyn :)

Im here - kinda! Its last day at work for us so its kinda busy but quiet (if u know what i mean)
I still havent got DH anything for xmas, am thinking of wrapping myself up on xmas morning (when i get up at silly o'clock for a pee lol) an putting a great big bow on me tummy, walk in the bedroom an go .....

'Da DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA' Happy Christmas

Its our xmas do tomorrow night, so its the talk of the office at the moment. I cancelled our hotel room, cos it will save us £100, i may aswell drive home, we have enuff to save for in the next few mths. Im a bit put out to be honest, as the girls here know i am pregnant, know that its very early days an know that its on my mind (no heartbeat etc) but they are on about getting up on the dance floor booging in till 2am .... fair enuff, they can do it - i said i wud probe be going home around 11pm (its an hour or so drive) cos last few nights ive just curled up in bed by 9pm ... oh the looks i got off them sating, u cant go home that early, i tried to explain that i wont be up dancing all night an thats not good enuff either now!! They know the score an im a bit annoyed that they think with all that is going on that i can boogie till early hours, its not just that im tirede, its the fact that i want to be carefull u know ..... am i being silly - should i stay out an boogie with them - i really dont want to be a wet towel, but i HAVE to think of myself an my wee one ....

Am i being a bah humbug ????

Hello my loves!!!

Gosh, everyone must be busy. It has been quiet.

Becky, I agree with Wishfull. Dont you dare stress what they are saying. If they were your true friends they would be supporting you. They know you did IVF to get preggo. Why in the world would you risk your baby to dance till the morning. Sorry, I just cannot see their point. You need to do what you are comfortable with. And if you are tired at 9 LEAVE!!!! Dont give their comments a second thought.
I cant wait for your scan on Monday. I bet we are going to see/hear a lovely strong HB!!!!!

Hey Wishfull!!! You are super sweet saying this is our year. Man, I sure hope it is!!! Today we are having our Christmas luncheon so I will be around in the morning. I am on vacation next week, but I will be checking in with you ladies!!!

oh angel, angie, pma....where are you girlies??
