TammyS- So happy to hear about your healthy baby boy!!!! Congratulations!!!
Jomae - so you are going to find out the flavor!!! Very cool! I can't wait to hear. Ours was ICSI baby and a boy!
Loopie - the furniture sounds cool! We are painting and getting floors done (no glue) so our house is a disaster! I wasn't too good about bed rest, I stayed on the bed and couch but got on the computer and even went out! But I was feeling better.
Suga - have you felt movement again? I think after 20 weeks you are supposed to feel at least once a day then after 28 weeks, 10 movements in 10 mins (don't quote me, it was in "what to expect when you are expecting") I don't know if it is different with twins...
Mellie - we have been looking at Babies Rus also, I think they have a big selection, some things we are getting from friends.
Corny- thanks for the explanation, I am so happy that the Doctor was so nice and helpful, I hope everything turns out perfect for your little girls, they are incredible fighters!
Gecko - can we have that heat wave back here? :)
Mia - where are you?

Anyone else doing their level 2 u/s or AFP test?

I am at work today  no more bedrest. The shape of my tummy changed a bunch in 3 days so I think I had ligament - stretchy pains. If I walk around too much I feel a weight - like OB said if he would strap a watermelon and walk around all day with it  I have been feeling crazy punches and kicks and what I think was a head sticking out. I am still amazed that there is a baby in there! :D This weekend we snuck out and met the new member of our family, a puppy German Shep. he is 6 weeks and ready to come home in 2 weeks - I know - call me insane, 2 dogs, a puppy and a bird and in Oct - the baby!!! We really wanted to rescue one but with the baby, DH and I deceided to get a puppy from a reputable breeder we know where the dogs are healthy and very sociable, no crazy temperaments, the puppies get used to kids, people and other dogs from a young age.

Have any of you girls experience weird cramps after an orgasm? I am clear to have IC but I feel so weird after it (if I don't have an orgasm I feel normal). Has sex been normal for you girls? I had to ask!
Hope you had a great weekend!

Rio: I head that a little cramping after an orgasm is normal. It is like your whole belly gets tight? Kinda like a contraction. I think if it lasts longer than a few minutes then I would ask the doctor. Also, I have been out and about a few times during bed rest, given the dog a bath, washed dishes...yeah I am not too good at it either. But I feel TONS better and she has moved off the cervix so there is not that pressure.

We must have the worst Babies R Us. Ours here in tied in with Toys R Us and it is just horrible. No selection. I am a Target girl.

I dont know how I will last through the summer. We live in Florida and it is just dang hot and the humidity. I go outside and think I am going to pass out. I heard being preg. during the summer is hard but GOSH it is rough! I am just always hot!

I have not been sleeping well. I think it is because I do nothing during the day so am not that tired. Plus, I wake up at 7AM on the dot every morning and have to eat...like if I dont eat I think I will die. Then I go back to bed from 9-12. *sigh* I am getting ready for those feedings I suppose. Gods weird way of preparing us.

Heeeelllllloooooo Ladies! It has been quite some time since I have posted, but have been keeping up with all of your posts!

Congratulations to all of you having little baby boys! I was convinced I was having boys, but I was WRONG x 2!! So add two more to the girl column! I am excited about little girls, but would have been happy anyway it turned out!

Corny- I am sorry you have had to climb so many mountains, I am praying for you and your little ones! Stay strong!

Tammy-You have had a rough time of it too, I am so glad to hear about a great visit and a healthy heart for your little boy! Happy Belated Birthday. I am sure Zachary will be amazing!

To all the ladies on bedrest, I am sorry you have to go through that! I hope it isn't too boring! If you read, there is a site called www.bookswim.com, it is like Netflix for books! Just glad to hear all of your beans are doing well!

Rinnie-I am sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy, you are so positive still and I know how hard that can be. I will pray for you and your DH!

Katie-Parker is an adoreable name!

Loopie-great idea for names, geneology! I am sure you will come up with something fantastic. I love unusual/uncommon names!

It sounds as if all of you are having very normal, and exciting pregnancies! Congratulations to all, best wishes for very happy and healthy babies all around!

Nothing interesting to report here, two girls, normal pregnancy, pretty boring right now actually! I haven't felt the girls at all yet, but on the anatomy ultrasound they were moving like CRAZY! They have great personalities so far, one of them is the bully and the other is very passive. Our bully (Isabel or Quinn, we aren't sure yet) likes to punch and kick our passive little one (probably Alexis), and she just reaches out for her sister. It is adorable, can't wait to see how they are when their here! We're holding off on nursery plans as of now, but have most of our registering done. I used two books and tons of family advice and friends advice to help determine what to register for. I used the Consumer Reports book, and also "baby bargains" 7th edition by Denise & Alan Fields, it came recommended by a few recent moms.

hey- how are all of you bed bugs doing?

went to a light dinner and t see Sex and the City solo this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I can't remember the last time I went to the movies alone - and I'm pretty sure there won't be too many "dates with myself" for a while now that jr is on the way.
Dh should be back today :D from his long weekend.

jomae- so, decided not to be the holdout after all, hmm?  I can't wait for you to find out if your hunch is correct! I figure, if I wasn't scheduled for all of the tests and stuff, I may have opted for waiting, but, to be honest - I saw the little one's plumbing when the tech was working, and was pretty sure what we had even before she said anything.

when or are you all having showers? my friend is throwing one for me in August, Mom is footing the bill  - I think it will be casual, some guys along with the gals
wow- another long day, been feeling tugs and weird pulsing- pretty sure it's normal, though

have a wonderful day!

Hey Loopie, I am having my shower the first weekend in August because twins can be born 34-36 weeks on average (hopefully the later!). I just want to be able to go to my shower and not be in the hospital when it is given!

Hi ladies
I caved at my ultrasound and have joined the rest of you guys in finding out the flavour of my baby

PLEASE WELCOME LITTLE PRINCESS KATIE
i haven't decided on a middle name as yetI think i would have been in shock if it was a boy i just new she was a she.

Mind you shes already stubbon my scan went for 45 minutes or more i had to pee and roll all over the bed to get her to move and still no cooperation. So lucky me gets to see her again in two weeks time we couldn't get a good veiw of her heart so she needs to be checked again

And to top of my scan i accidentally blabbed to dh what my sister is having she only told me because we'll be doing our clothes shopping together but we decided not to tell my dh because her dh wants the suprize at the end and we were sure my dh would blab not deliberately but it would happen and there i go mentioning what she is having in front of him so hopefully he can contain himself about both our babies i guess we'll see

Anyway my day couldn't get much better i hope everyone else is also having a good one

Take Care JOMAEXXX

Jomae: Yayy! That is awesome! I love the name Katie!!!

Loopie: Your furniture sounds awesome! Me too, on the "O's". LOL

Suga: I hear ya on having the shower a little bit early. My doc told us not to plan anything after Aug 1st. So ours is July 26th.

Hopin: Good to hear from you. Congrats on your girls.

Rio: Bad bedrester, you! LOL

Mia: Helllooooo!? We miss you!

Yes, I too, did ICSI and am having a boy! There definetly seems to be some truth to it. Hope everyone is doing well this week! I now have cankles and am retaining alot of water. My ear infection is still not any better, either. Otherwise I am doing well. The nursery is finished until after the baby shower when I can add all the little stuff. Yayy!

Jomae - Congratulations on your little princess!!! Lucjy you get to see her again!!!
Seems like girls are now outnumbering the little boys! We should all keep in touch and then set up our kids on dates
Tammy - sorry about your ear infection :( yes, I am a bad bed-rester! Have you tried compression stockings? After the first plane ride my cankles were huge, on the 2nd, I used the knee high stockings and nothing! no cankles!!!
loopie- you are so lucky! I guess I might have to try again with the big O, my weird cramp like feeling lasts for hours, no pain, just weird. How was SITC movie? I have two showers, one for work and one my MIL is throwing in August.
Hopin glad to hear from you again! Stay in touch, your twins sound adorable!
SugaAfter an O, my belly does get tight and it feels different for a few hours. :( I will ask the OB. Have you tried babiesrus online? I have not been sleeping well either, I used to love sleeping in on weekends and can't even do that anymore. It sucks waking up so much already! I am jealous you are in Florida. In my part of Cali it is mid 50s and 60s and I really miss summers :( the fog and cold breeze are a bummer.

rio - Bummer about the weather, eh? It is soooo cold on the SF peninsula! We are going to a Giants game tomorrow afternoon and are hoping for sun in the city at least. Sorry about the O thing. DH and I are still too freaked to try. I suggested it this week but he didn't take me up on it! I was surprised, but figure he is nervous too. Good luck with your new puppy! We have had our new puppy for three weeks now and he still isn't housebroken. We have to watch him constantly as he chews on power cords, eats rocks, and pees wherever. I am hoping he is trained by the time the baby comes. It will be cool that they will get to grow up together. I should post his picture - he is really darling.

Tammy_ Hooray for your best birthday present ever - a healthy baby! I am so happy for you. I don't know about the ICSI theory but I had a 5 day blast transferred and we are having a boy too. I have heard it is common.

Jomae - Congrats on Katie!!!!! Just what you wanted. I am so happy for you and glad she is a healthy little bean! I am sure she will settle down for the next scan.

loopie - I love going to the movies alone. All the popcorn to myself- yum! Our last day of school is Friday and it is graduation and therefore a half day and I am planning to go see the new Indiana Jones film in the afternoon to celebrate the start of summer vacation!

Hopin - Yeah! Two baby girls! How exciting! Do you have names picked out yet? I am glad you are doing well.

My first shower is June 26th and then I have two more in August! I feel really blessed that so many people want to celebrate this baby with us. I am all registered on Babies R Us. It was fun and we really tried to have a range of things listed. It will be fun to check online to see what is being purchased. My mom has alread said she would get our crib. I am so excited.

We are having a concrete patio poured today and the painters are doing the nursery at the end of June. I will be able to set up the nursery during my summer vacaion when I feel energetic. By the time I go back to school in late August everything will be in order and then I can just sit back and wait.....

Is anyone having to do the glucose test yet? I had to do it at 12 weeks and passed, but they want it again at week 24 so in two weeks I need to do it again. I am not looking forward to it....

Hope you are all having a wonderful week.

Well we changed one of our girls names...still Mackenzie Elise but now it is Brooke Elizabeth instead of Katherine. I just like Brooke more and prayed about their names and Katherine was just not it.

Today I had bad ligament pain again and it was horrible. The husband just looks at me in sadness. lol. I need to ask the doc. if I am eating enough because I dont feel like I am. I am sure they will measure on Thursday and let me know. I get to see the perinatologist then my reg OB in the same day...woohoo?

Well, those of you who are jealous of this weather are CRAZY! It is hot, humid, sticky, did I mention HOT? I wish it were cooler...like 70 degrees. That would be perfect for me. I hate summer because it is so hot.

Congrats to all the newly found out baby sexes! Girls are wonderful!! (Biased) but I suppose boys are great too!

Wow, I've been missing in action as well but have still been reading the posts on a regular. Well, for my twins I can be added to the girls list as well!! that;s right I am having two girls two, Marleah and Macey. It seems like that everyone on our board that is having twins is having two girls! I'm doing good now but during week 14-16 i had a rough time with a blood clot right above my cervix, but is gone now. just getting so big. My ob doc measured my stomach yesterday and she said i measure the same as being 32 weeks pregnant with a singleton. I'm glad everyone is doing ok!
