Moorebaby: I'm 33 (did our first IVF at 31) and have always done 3dt . . . My RE transferred 4 embies with all 3 of our IVF attempts, with the understanding that if more than two took, we'd be open to selective reduction . . . if we weren't okay with selective reduction, then she'd only want to transfer two . . . perhaps it depends on the RE preferences . . . i wanted to ask u if u can please share some of ur symptoms, still 3 days for my beta and im going crazy, i have no sore boobs, no nausea, no diziness, having strong AF cramps and lower back aches on and off all day long, can't sleep at night (i think bcoz im too anxious) so im starting to believe that i will be getting a BFN soon

fruit: It's my understanding that the PIO shots mimic pregnancy symptoms . . . the only way to be sure is to POAS or wait for BETA . . . That's why the 2ww sucks! Good luck

oh yes, the 2ww sucks... so i think i have to wait 3 more days to know.
im not having any pregnancy symptom only AF pains anyways, i will keep my fingers crossed......

Think positive!!! The "AF pains" could be cramps & twinges from your baby(ies) snuggling in!

Fruit: PIO shots can cause AF symptoms . . . cramping, etc. Not to mention insomnia, runny nose, fatigue, etc. UGH!

Fruit- Dont start worrying yet. For the past week I have had mild AF cramps off and on throughout the days. I have always had back problems, so its hard to say whether the low back cramps now are regular or because of this. As for my boobs- in previous cycles they started to get super sore long before the beta...this time not so much. Over the past few days my nipples have gotten extremely sore but other than that not much. I cant remember whether you did a 3 or 5 dt? I felt the same way you are feeling last week so I finally caved and decided I needed to take a test just to see. Some people cant take them early and get a negative but I like feeling in control. Anyway...you have to keep telling yourself that the same symptoms occur with pregnancy and AF thanks to stupid Progesterone. I still have cramps on and off and of course am still worried- this whole process is nothing but worrying and waiting. Keep your head up and stay positive!

Blair - thank u for sharing ur symptoms, i had 3dt, so since it is a confusing thing and everything looks alike (pg sympt. and af sympt. ) i think there is nothing i can do other than waiting....

I took the other 2 hpt in the box and they all were a bfn. I did have an FET so there should have been no false bfp so i am totally confused! i am suppose to have my beta wed morning but i called today to ask if i could possibly come in tomorrow instead but i haven't heard back yet. 24 hrs shouldn't make a difference should it? i called my dh this morning and i can tell he is very sad but trying SO hard to keep up the pma. again thanks guys so much for all of your support, i will keep ya'll updated!!!!

Quick update: Went in today for a follow-up b/w and u/s and there's 2 follicles that are over 18 so if my b/w comes back this afternoon high enough, we'll trigger tonight with an ER on Wednesday. In addition, there were 8 on the left and 10 on the right in the right size range. I'm really hoping we can trigger tonight and not have to wait to wait a day. Im really hoping we wont have to do ET on Easter, but then again maybe its fate telling me something?

Will try to do personals later, but in the meantime it sounds like a lot of positive things are happening.

Edit: Looks like we won't be triggering tonight. Nurse called and said they want to do one more night, so tomorrow it is with ER on Thursday.

Wow what a busy weekend on the board! DH took me, DS and our basset hound to Monterey for the weekend. We had such a nice time.

Fruit ~ Try to stay positive and image your little beans growing. I think it is a good idea to test at home with DH on the day of your beta.

blairwh58 ~ I have everything crossed for you. Can’t wait to hear the news of your doubling beta. Have you been POAS?

Moorebaby ~ Great embabies report. I think they are less likely to want to transfer 3 5 day blast. I was 36 when we had our 1st IVF and they were uneasy about transferring 3 grade 2 at 3dt. I let them know I wouldn't be able to do selective reduction. But in the end we transferred 3 and got our beautiful baby boy. They said the odds were 5% we could have triplets. However that being said, I personal would want to transfer 3.

kbillsy ~ I would personally get a new vial. It may be fine but in my opinion it is better to be safe than sorry. Not sure but maybe there is a possibility of contamination?

Wishingandhoping ~ good follie report. They seem to be pretty good size, I bet you will have your ER before Friday.

Sorry it's only a quick post - making a lovely meal for me and DH tonight

I only have 2 more sleeps to go and then it's test day! arrrghhhhhh I'm glad it's here - I've been going crazy these last few days. Friday I was SO tempted to POAS!! I just wanted to know.

I've been having cramps on and off since ET although they were worse the first few days after ET but they've eased up a little now! My stomach and breasts feel very swollen by the end of the night! it seems the 3 different hormones are definitely making a difference on me! I just feel like AF has arrived - I can't stop weeing all the time! LOL

I've felt really positive but now it's coming towards the end of the road and I'm starting to feel negative and trying to prepare myself for the worst! I know I should keep up the PMA but I'm really struggling to now!

I promise I'll catch up on the posts and do personals later x But you are ALL in my thoughts. I only want the best results for you ladies.

I can't help today but think of what God is planning to do with us here in the future. I believe He is up to something big here in our IVF group! I wish we could see his plan, but I guess we'll just have to learn patience and keep praying and discipling ourselves to know only through Him miracles do happen. My dh has asked me this once before...Are we depending more on science and the latest technology then just having faith. I think it's important to have both because even though I depend on my RE to help us meet our plan in getting pregnant I still believe God can give us a peace of mind and help us carry this baby to full term. I can attest to miracles happening here everyday, I really believe that is possbible. I know as we get closer to the end of our 2ww, it's tough to keep up the PMA, yet without faith we have nothing. Sorry I am rambling this afternoon, but I just want to tell you I am praying for each and every one of you this week! Sunshine1576
