Hi everyone !!

another quiet day of posting

DH is ok - thanks for asking Sara but still not heard about his car

Had 2nd acccupuncture today and said something very interesting that not sure if anyone else knows - that if your tesrosterone(sp??) levels are high that this hinders implantation big time - worth checking out girlies xx

Am knackered but feel chilled - had personal training session at gym beforehand and the evil bast*** nearly killed me - never mind no pain no gain -

MIL still here - but she did the housework today so no complaints there ! - need to be sociable now though and not sit upstairs on computer !!

Hugs to all those working too hard - Mir/ Ang / Sophie /Lee

Becky - hope things are getting easier ?? ((())) xx

Angel - where are you - hope all ok hon xxx

Catch you all later xx

Hello lovely ladies!

Ah, finally, a few signs of life!

ladeedaaaaaah.... tonight I'll watch another episode of Lie to me... yaaaay! DH scandalized me BIG TIME last week... he said it suddenly came to him why I was so enthusiastic about that series... he said it,s basically the same thing as House. EXCUSE ME, but I find many interesting difference between the two series! And, no, the fact that Tim Roth is English has NOTHING to do with the fact I love the series... *whistles innocently* ;)

Carolyn,
So relieved to hear that your DH seems okay after the accident... well, I guess you'll have to take good care of his stiffness! :D:D:D I had a bad car accident in 2003 and the insurance company deliberated for some 3 weeks before they decided it was not a total loss... 10K in repairs! I hope they'll make up their mind faster in your case! Is he getting a bit used to the small courtesy car? LOL tell him he has all my sympathy! Oh, and you have all my sympathy for MIL's presence in the house! LOL seriously, do you guys get along okay, or...?

Lee,
Hi girl! Always great to have news! Nah, finally the paper didn't publish my story. The train company announced yesterday that they'll go back to the old schedule for the morning rush hour, starting on Monday. This is great, but... BUT! They're also announcing huge repairs on our line. The trains will pass from 10 to 8 wagons and, although they announced they made a deal with the bus company so people who can't get on the train will be brought to the nearest subway station, I expect it's going to be hell. Just this morning, we were stuck at my station for some 10 minutes before we left... and the train was already super packed, for some reason. The train company will give us a 50% rebate on our monthly pass next month, and 25% in April and May, but still.

...gee, listen to me, it's all me me me! Sorry about that! How are you doing sweetheart? How are things with your girlie? Thank you so much for what you wrote, by the way...  it really touches me. I just care very much about you girls... *hugs*

Miracle,
I was TOTALLY delighted to read your post sweetie! How nice that DH came to you and opened up. And how GREAT that you guys will do some counselling before you start tmt, I,m sure it will help you work together as a team! However, just like I told someone recently, be careful. Here, counsellors are not the equivalent of psychologists, it's not the same training nor the same diploma. Do aim for a LICENSED psychologist if you can. Just a thought... As for your friend, poor girl, what a big shock it must have been for you! Your heart must have skipped a beat! Thank God she'll be okay! Phew!!! You've got a lot on your plate right now sweetheart, I hope you,re finding time to relax and take care of yourself... it's also super important! *HUGS*

Other than that, not much to report. Not working too hard, just a lot of time outside my office. I have to run, but I'll catch you later guys.

Take care!

Hellooooooowwww

Arrrrhhhhhhhhaaaahhhhh the first time I have sat down in 3 days!!!

Had a looooong day on monday had to drive down the M4 in torrential rain, not pleasant but had a really good meeting with some of my nurse buddies and have some work to do now so all good. Have also been frantically updating some training I am putting on for foster carers, its a kind of project in motion, ie we test it out on the carers and then make it better for the next session!!  , only problem was the next session is really close and there were lots of changes to make the recording easier!! Never mind will get there in the end.........

So much has been going on here on the board over the last few days...............

I think I briefly mentioned some of them in my quickie post.........

Miracle I am soooo happy you and DH have come to an agreement together about your next steps, I am sure now he has faced his fears out loud together you can face them and talk over them, these things can bring you so much closer together as well, :)

I was sorry to hear about your friend will definately be sending her prayers and thoughts accross the waters, go give her a big hug on saturday and tell her she has all these strangers thinking of her!! :)

Carolyn, we never got to the gym due to my girlys unfortunate incident with the shops last week, so going to book it again for next week, I can feel that no pain no gain coming up to me very fast!!! I had not heard of testosterone hindering implantation..... Would need a blood test I guess to check it out??

Sophie our girly is doing great, she has agreed to write to the shop and apologise, hopefully I might be able to persuade her to take the letter in with me to the security guard who caught her, whether she does or not I am going to speak with the shop and see if they can send her some sort of acknowledgement for her apology without her knowledge of course!! You never know it might make her think that not everyone thinks she is 'bad'. She has done lots of making up at home and has initiated the conversations about it herself so big progress I think. She also had a good contact with her mum and they have made big progress as well, so hopefully there may be light at the end of the tunnel for her going home sometime in the next few months.

Well another busy 2 days but quieter for next week as it is half term here so I don't book work, so hopefully will have some chill time...........

Good night off for some much needed sleep...........

xxxx
Finally I am a mummy, we are about to adopt our beautiful little girl xxxxx

morning Mir - just realised you must have poosted at same time as me last night and i missed yours :(

So glad you and Dh sorted out the issue - you know how stubborn these men can be - obviously he just needed to get his head round the counselling bit and being open to a 3rd person about his feelings .. remeber alot of these men don't like to talk about emotions and how they are feeling - but that is a huge step forward ... so pleased for you xx

Will keep your friend in my prayers - tell her all your cyber buddies are routing for her too xx

Off to work now catch you all later xx

Hi girls.....ok, first things first........

Mir ---- hip-hip-hooray!!!!!!!! so glad dh came to you! and ya know --- just fyi.....when my re was discussing "all options on the table" after my last ivf bfn --- and he threw out using ds ----- he also said if go w/ that option and use their clinic -- they have MANDATORY counseling for couples....and must use THEIR counselors (as they felt they had chosen the best of the best for this particular issue).....am only throwing out there so that if you know the clinic you'll be working with -- might be worth a phone call just to see if they have any recommendations on counselors for this subject matter..... and school -- how's our law student hangin in there??? and finally --- lots and lots of ~~prayers~~ for your bff of all time......

carolyn --- have i told you how insanely jealous i am of your discipline at the gym????? changing the subject now.....how is dh and the car??? has it afforded him a few days off work???

hey lee......boy do you ever sound so completely with it when it comes to handling teenagers!!! it's amazing that you've been able to convince girly to write apology letter.......and i think it's FANTASTIC idea to secretly speak to them in hopes of getting them to acknowledge it -- good luck  so what exactly is your FET schedule??? have you given us dates and i just missed them in my whirlwind of working so damn hard???

soph --- good to hear the train schedule going back to the old schedule!!! i couldn't imagine having to take a train into work daily..... i LOVE my "me" time in my car in the morning on way to work --- jammin to my fav music, nice, easy drive --- live in very rural area where traffic is pretty much a non-issue.....right out of college i worked for FORD in DETROIT and i commuted into that area daily and it didn't take me long to realize that it was NOT my cup of tea!!! there were days i would end up at work in tears because of how stressful my commute was!!! so what do you do -- drive to train station, leave car there and then you're on train for how long?? and when you get off train at your work -- how far from train station to work???

angel........thinking of you sweetie........sending ya BIG HUGS!!!

well -- other than my crazy-busy work stuff, not too much exciting going on in my world.....youngest dss broke up w/ his gfriend (of almost 2 years) and that's been drama in my house last few days.....keeping up w/ american idol --- they selected top 36 last night!!! starting to get good now!!! oh and how about the octuplet mom --- have all of you seen/read/heard about her?????????????? WOW.....she's somethin' else!!

LOVE & HUGS TO ALL!!!!!!!!!
:-) Angie

Hi girlies!

Argh! No new episode of Lie to me yesterday! same for House on Monday! All because of American idol! Sorry, I'm one of those weirdos who don't like the show! ;) I always can't help but think it's allll pre-arranged and so artificial... anwyay!

Lee,
Sounds like you've got LOTS on your plate baby! wow, you're such a trooper, getting everything done! Way to go lady! You rock! Brilliant idea, the letter! :D Is the rest of the week a little quieter?

Carolyn,
Hi there! :D How are you doing? Anything planned for Valentine's Day?

Angie,
Hi girlie! :D Yeah, the old schedule might be great, except that they'll do tons of repairs on the line and we'll have less wagons... they'll have buses taking the extra passengers, but just yesterday, we were stuck 20 minutes at my station because two people got into a fight, can you imagine how it will be next week? I can't wait to just be off the hook and stay home... when I come back, the service will be MUCH improved. I'm glad you're enjoying the commute, sounds lovely! We don't own two cars, and I hope we never do. So my husband drives me to the train station (two minutes away from home) and the ried is 27mins. Then I have to walk in underground tunnels for around 5 minutes to get to the subway, and I get off three stations later. From the subway station, when I get outside, I can see my office's window, so it's about another 3 minute walk or something. All in all, we leave at 7:05 and I'm in my office at 8:05. If the trains were not so overcrowded, it would actually be relaxing. I listen to the radio, I knit, I take it easy... the ride back is really smooth, because the train I take is way less packed and I can always sit near the window. Then I walk 10-15 minutes to get to my house. It suits me perfectly, as long as my MP3 player never dies on me, I'm fine! :D

Miracle,
Hi there girlie! How's school? And work? When does your boss come back?

Okay guys, I have to reply to a long email from a friend, so take care and I,ll see you around!

Kissies,

Sophie xxox

Hi peeps

So how are we all this fine evening?? I am running on sheer adrenaline at the moment I am sure I am going to be up all night!!! Havent had such a full week for a while!! Loving it tho, as long as it slows down next week!! Ha ha complain when I have nothing to do then will be complaining next week because I am tired...........

Ahhh Angie how is dss, is his heart breaking or will he survive?? Young love I had my heart broken several times as I am sure we all have and thought I could not go on each time, until the next sexy guy came round the corner of course!!  Yep we also had counselling with our clinic before they would accept us for using DE, really glad we did it too.

Ohhhhhh I so do not feel like I am with it with dear girly and am winging it most of the time I have never had teens before!?! We are making a difference for her tho so must be doing something right, I just have in my mind constantly not to take anything she does that isn't so good personally, then I can take a deep breath and deal with what comes up. You know I really do care a lot about what happens to her as she is a really good soul we just have to try and get her to love herself so she can see herself she is a good soul too.

As for my FET schedule, I am currently down regulating, and hoping to transfer on 10th march, so watch this space!! I can't believe my ticker is less than a month now ooooooo exciting!!!!

I am going to have to go pick up girly so will have to leave other personals for later

Take care all

Lee xxx

ARE YOU KIDDING? Where do I begin??!??!! Total fan of Desperate Housewives, Harry Potter, Alan Rickman, House, Bones, Dog whisperer... I mean, come on, last week when I stayed home, I did nothing but sit on the couch and watch the food network, TLC baby story, and Dog whisperer! :D:D:D Geez, I've become such a TV addict that I felt lost when all my favorite shows were cancelled this week!

seriously, sometimes... I really wish we could just put the TV in the basement... so we'd watch it only when we want to watch something specific. But DH doesn't want to. DH reads a book every single night before he goes to sleep, and I wish I could be like him... he probably reads something like 30-40 books each year... makes my knitting and cooking sound pretty mindless in comparison...

Hi girlies,

IT'S FRIDAY!!!! YAHOO! Can't wait to be out of here, seriously! have you guys planned anything exciting for the weekend? Me, nothing. We tried to book something in a trendy restaurant, but it was full, we were too late. Not a problem, I'll cook something nice. Probably some fondue (yeah, UNCHEESE FONDUE ANGIE!!! :D:D:D:D) with a red velvet cake. And I thought that, given the great sunny weather we'll have all weekend, we might go for a walk in the woods with the dogs, maybe with my friend, her DH and her dogs too. It would be a big pack party! Aaaaand given that my friend would probably drag her feet and be as out of breath as I'd be, I'd feel less ashamed! ;)

Carolyn,
Nah, I don't like reality TV, that's the thing. It's a question of personal tastes! Hehehe yeah, there was a time when time just flew for me too, but now it's dragging a bit. I'll stop working on March 31st. Can't wait! It will be a big change, spending a whole year at home, but I think I'll like it, knowing I'll go back to work eventually. Sorry about DSS!!!! :( How old is he? Yeah, porn is probably the solution for now... we have ice cream and chocolate, he has booze and porn... all fair! ;) Wow, three weeks without DH! Yikes, I'd be sad and lonely too... as for suggestions, I'm sure Angie will give you plenty! Or you can ask DSS, I bet he'd have some suggestions too, LOL!

so sorry about that tooth!!! OUCH indeed! Having a root canal done is no fun, I sure don't want this to happen to me!! *HUGS* Ooooh I hope your dentist will make it all better!!!! Is the pain going away slowly at least? :( *HUGS*

Lee,
You're bad, girlie! Started downregging and didn't even tell us! I hope you're not having too many symptoms! What's the next step on your protocol?

Miracle, Angel, Becky, miss ya!

Okay girlies, gotta go! take care and have a great weekend!

Sophie - think the preganancy hormones are affecting you  - its Ang that has the DSS who is heartbroken - not me !!

Hope everyone else is good ??

Have had out treatment schedule emailed and if all goes to plan think ET will be 4th April - day before our wedding anniversary  - OMG it is actually happening and its quite scary !!
