Hi everyone
Here I am wide awake far too early on a Sunday morning. How are you all doing? Welcome to Stephanie and Denise, hope all goes well for you. Congrats on scan Lucy, I was bit tearful when I saw baby's heartbeat too, it was first sign for me that this could actually work! Feeling more at ease as time goes on but can't wait til that 12 week hurdle is out the way and I can relax a wee bit more.
Put Christmas decs up last night and did most of Christmas shopping yesterday, feeling more in the festive spirit now!

Have a lovely day and merry Christmas!

Quick question - anyone else find the progesterone really aggravates things down south?

Denise- the progesterone has been killing me. I feel like I have poison oak. Even my legs are starting to itch. Just a few more weeks.

Dear Denise

Congratulations! and yes I also found progesterone rather unpleasant. I had diarrhoea for a while but it did wear off. Love Vicky

Hi girls

just peeking "too" - like Denise not quite ready to settle in yet....like sitting on a timb bomb, but trying soooooooooooooooooo hard to believe we can make it this time...

Had scan 2 day - 5 weeks+1 sac size, can't see much else too early to tell if it will start to develop OK, one little Ukranian dancer (after 4 put back, I can say it's a relief and their advice in ISIDA was spot on). Started weekly Hcg monitoring 2day and thyroid screens, next scan 21st Dec.

progesterone giving me the runs and making me very very windy

hugs to all working through this hard trimester, really proud of you all for so much PMA. Caroline and Denise our dates are the same :D so we can hold hands a bit here and pray together

Sounds like a great first scan - Jules.

I'm still nervy, as I imagine both of you are. At school today the kids cooked hot dogs, and I nearly lost it - guess that won't be one of the cravings.

I talked to the clinic today about the progesterone. They suggested taking it orally, but that it will likely make me sick to my stomach - think I might just tolerate the problems down south instead.

Good to hear I'm not the only one. Did any of you find anything to sooth it, or did you just wait it out? Also, kills totally any ideas of romance, poor DH.

Hi Ladies

Well been for scan this morning, could still see heart beat which I was very pleased about. The two areas of blood are there, the doctor said I may bleed again or it may just absorb by it self.

One more thing the doctor said was that since last week my baby hadn't grown much, she did say not to worry about it too much, but they want to see me again next week. It is very easy for them to say not worry...! I do.!

So another scan next week, lets hope my baby flump has grown a bit more by then.! I have named my baby flump because I have got a bit of a thing for flumps at the minute, if you don't know what they are, there like marsmellows...!

Lucy

Lucy,
another long week of waiting for you huh? Though it is heartening to hear that the blood areas dont seem to be worrisome.
sending warm wishes for your little one to buck up with the growth.
I was told in the beginning of my second tri that the baby seemed to be lagging behind and was asked start protein supplements.
You could either up your protein intake, or check with your clinic if you can take something that could help..

Take care,

Great news Lucy - I know you are still worried but think of these extra scans as a bonus - you have every reason to believe that everything's gonna be just fine,
