HI guys,

I started the other replies yesterday but got interrupted and didn't get back to the computer before today.

Carolyn, Lee, the recipe I gave you is pudding, not as in "cake" but as in "cream". That's why you pour it into bowls. Carolyn, if you use just milk, you want to use 4 tbsp of cornstarch + 4 tbsp of milk to have the right consistency.

Miracle,
Oh boy, I really missed one of your posts it seems, I had NO notion that your friend was out of the hospital!!!!!  But I'm really happy for her! :D:D Even if she's frustrated given all the things she can't do like before (yet), she still gets to sleep in her own bed and be in her own house... and it's so priceless... you're an amazing friend sweetie, taking her out for a beauty treatment! :) And that phone idea seems fantastic, you're so sensitive sweetie, she's lucky to have you!!! :D:D:D And please stop laughing about me, no fun girlie, I was actually being sincere!`;)

Carolyn,
BINGO! Oh my, that's PRICELESS! SO, did you win any money? If I remember well, you seemed to be on a lucky trend last week with the horses! ;) Hehehe and I'm sure you look lovely in those new clothes! I sure love the PMA!!!! *hugs* keeping everything crossed and thinking of you sweetheart!

Okay, gotta run, my workman is here and I have to say hi. By the way, my friend is being induced right now. She was in the hospital at 8:00 and they broke her water. She was over 4 cms dilated, so they're hoping they won't need to give her pitocin. I don't have news yet, so I'm hoping everything is going ok.

Take care ladies, and have fun!

Hey Traci! :D

Don't worry dear, I was just referring to you imaging me watching the Beyonce video! What I meant was that no matter how people really look (v.s. how they see themselves) it's just unfair to be exposed to all those airbrushed unattainable models, and they're everywhere! And no matter how hard you try to remember the Dove evolution commercial (bless them!), as Lee said, you can't help but envy them! ;) And I just find that plain sad...

Anyway, I hope you have fun with your bff this weekend! I'm sure she'll LOVE spending time with you getting all pretty and, hopefully, feeling better about herself. :D

As for my friend, well the story is pretty surprising... She showed up at 8am, but the hospital was in a complete rush. Women in labor kept arriving and the delivery rooms were full! My friend had never seen a situation like this! So they told her to wait... and believe it or not, they kept her waiting for SEVEN HOURS in the ultrasound waiting room, on a little chair, before they finally told her to go home and stay in standby. I mean, can you belive this? It's absolutely not their fault that so many women went into labor at the same time, but the head nurse should have woken up a little and realised that those two women, both overdue, could have been waiting at home instead! She should have been sent home right away!

So my poor friend, who is exhausted, will have a call early this evening. They'll either have her back at the hospital and induce her this evening (they almost never do that, but they would make an exception), which means that she would spend all night awake during labor, at least before she gets her epidural. Or they'll have her back tomorrow morning, or even on Sunday morning. My bet is on tomorrow morning, at least that's my wishful thinking. That way, she would be able to get some sleep tonight!

It really looks like someone's watching over her, and she wasn't meant to deliver today. Anyway, with the staff running in all direction (in addition, they're one nurse short for the day shift!!), it's better that she didn't labor during that shift...

I'll keep you posted! :D

I have my first big appt. in 2 days. What questions should I ask the doctors? What kind of advice can you give me.... Donor should have completed all her tests so now it's up to me & hubby. I'm really excited to get this ball rolling so much hurry up & wait bs.
Carolyn, how are you feeling how is pupo for you? preg test pretty soon, right? Nicki- haven't heard from u how are ya'? Sophie- you're so cute!
I know missed a lot of you--mind & body are doing light speed!!!

Carolyn,

What did the clinic say was your official test date? If AF has not yet arrived, should you maybe consider going privately for a blood test? There are lots of places that do it. Alternatively if your GP knows about your tmt, would he write out an urgent script for bloods today? You'll know by tomorrow morning.

I really don't want to say sorry yet. I had such a good feeling about this for you.

((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))

And what brand of hpt did you use?

Carolyn sweetie, you know by now that I am completely anti- hpt especially those in advance no matter how tempting. If the clinic said to test on Friday, then there has to be a reason for that. Maybe test on Thursday evening if you want DH to be there when you test? But no earlier than that.

And you have to keep those positive thoughts going. My DH always used to say that the embies are sooo tiny and struggling to stick to the Mommy. They need constant encouragement and cheering to say come on, you can make it. Then when they get here after 9 months, we'll look after them, but till then they have to stay put.

Hold on to the thought that you have not had AF yet. Especially if in your previous cycles its come on or before test date.
