So good to hear from all of you! I agree that there can't be too many posts. I even like the really long ones.

Welcome to all the new girls! Glad to see there are so many of us -- means more BFPs.

Stephanienj, good luck with the lupron tonight. Looks like I'm a little behind you. I'll start on the 10th.

jharris, so sorry your sick! :( Rest and then rest some more! Feel better by Friday. Let us know what your RE says. (I know. Always with the waiting...)

Amber, I'm sorry you're having headaches. I hope they float away soon.

donna, this IVF thing tends to make me superstitious, too, but don't sweat the dates! It's a new year, a new cycle. It's progress.

I kind of a have a headache. I wish I could blame it on the BCPs, but it's probably because I had NO COFFEE today. I had a cup of tea this morning instead. Yay me!

The medication was delivered today. Even though this is my 3rd cycle, it still seems like so much stuff! I picture one of those 20/20 type shows panning over all the little bottles and syringes with a voiceover, "IT TAKES 2 MONTHS AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR ONE IVF CYCLE." It's just part of our lives. Right, ladies?

I look forward to your updates. Hope you all have a lovely afternoon!

OK, so I finally heard back from my RE's nurse. She said that since I'm just spotting, I need to wait for full AF to start my BCP's, so I'm hoping the fact that spotting today and Sunday won't effect my AF that should start next Monday! My dr told me it's probably due to all the stress and changes I have going on. I just had to change some medications to ones that are safe for pregnancy. I have high blood pressure and acid reflux. So maybe the new meds have my body out of whack. Ha, just wait until the shots start!! I'm probably REALLY going to need you all then!

Yellow: Thanks, hopefully I can get some rest tonight. Either way, I will be resting comfortably in Jamaica on Friday! Sickness will stay here! And congrats on the no coffee!! I am so proud! I hope I can be as strong as you when I get closer! I'm sure getting your meds in is very exciting! I can't wait! (Well the longer I wait, the longer I can hold on to all that money it's going to cost me!)

And Donna: Look at it this way, at least you got that BFP, so maybe since it's the same time of the year, you will get one again, and keep it the whole time! Spring is all about new life and new beginnings. We are here for ya!

Alchick: Congrats on the new cycle! I won't be on the same protocol, but keep us all informed how it's going.

OK, time to finish working so I can get out of here and go home! :D

Did you all see the story about IVF on MSNBC online? Here is a link to the story. It's interesting to read that IVF is only 25 years old!

Enjoy, and keep up hope!!

Donna ~ Last April we both had BFP's and then MC's. This year will bring better things for us. I don't go the same days as last year, I am 2 weeks behind what I was. Good things will happen to us!!

How's everyone doing today?

I got my E2 blood work done and it was 492 which my nurse said was really good. I'm currently on Menopur and I take that again tonight but starting april 2 and 3rd I will be doing Menopur and Ganirelix shots together.

Then I'm going to get my Ultrasound on April 4th - I'm so getting excited it's getting closer and closer.

Although, I'm really not looking forward to sticking myself twice in belly. Ouch...

DrJen~ Hows your stimming going?

Yellow~ did you get your meds? what protocol are you on??

Hi ladies! I didn't get a chance to read any posts at work today.

Welcome to everyone who is new--glad to see you joined this thread too Chelly!

Sameera-Lupron is going fine. Looking forward to 4/11-first u/s and b/w so I can get closer to ER and ET!

jharris-Feel better! So envious of your trip :) Thank goodness we're going thru this now and not 25 yrs ago. I think ICSI was first done in the mid '90's!

Hey ladies!! OK, so I'm feeling better today. I'm not sure how much of that is because of medication, and how much is because I'm a day closer to my trip, and a day closer to starting BCP's to get this cycle started! Either way, I'm feeling mych better than yesterday.

DrJen: I agree. Thank goodness we are going through this now! Success rates were much lower 25 years ago. And I had no idea ICSI was that new either. Glad they figured it out since we will more than likely have to use that process.

It is so exciting to read about all you women getting closer to ER/ET!! It gets me even more ready to get this started! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Okay, I'm getting scared - Could I be ovulating during stims? Has anyone experienced white sticky discharge?? I have been on stims for a few days and today is the first day I saw white sticky discharge and I'm wondering if it's normal or I might be ovulating.

Ugh, I dunno what my body is doing..

Hi everyone! I hope to hop on this thread too. Quick (as I can) background on me. First IVF 12/07 (due to unexplicably blocked tubes) we made it to ER but not ET - only 1 egg retrieved out of over 30 follicles (bad PCOS) - egg fertilized but stopped growing. Second IVF 2/07 we didn't make it to ER. I have PCOS and both times RE thought I was prime candidate for OHSS (over 40 follicles second cycle) so he didn't want to give me the hcg trigger - first cycle I used Lupron instead but it wasn't as effective. He was going to give me a small dose of hcg and Lupron to trigger second cycle, but he had taken me off my meds for a few days to coast which caused my estrogen levels to plummet and the cycle was cancelled before ER. 2 weeks ago I had ovarian drilling surgery to try to get rid of some of my follicles. During the surgery, they were able to open my tubes. We had hoped to try naturally after that, but I still have not starting ovulating and DH tested positive for high levels of ASA (antisperm antibodies) so it looks like IVF #3 for us. I am hoping with less follicles I won't overstimulate this time and they can trigger with hcg and finally make it to ET!!

I start bcp tonight for 21 days and then meds towards the end of the month. I am having trouble with PMA, so hopefully I can gain more by reading all of your posts too, and seeing your BFPs as I am on the later end of this thread!

Sameera, I had discharge, too. Don't worry. It probably just means you're responding to the drugs which is a good thing. :) I did get my meds and I wish I could just start now!

I had only tea again today. I still have a headache, but not as bad.

Hang in there, fertile turtles (I like that, too). Good things are on the way.

Happy Wednesday yall!
Those of yall doing the Lupron already...is it just me or do you have the worst headache of your life?? I feel like my head is pounding and I can't concentrate!
Other than that, I can tolerate the shots. Found out today ER is scheduled for week of 4/21...they said they can't give me an exact date until the 19th.
Oh, how many of yall are doing 3 day transfers vs blasts? My nurse said they do almost all 3dt b/c they feel its better to get the embryo back in as soon as possible. she said they culture the remaining embies to blast stage then freeze. Is this unusual?
Have a blessed day!

Since past 2-3 days I am having nausea and having strange kind of feeling in my stomach.....I dont know is it because of antibiotics or Lupron... I dont feel like doing anything or eating anything.....

I just hope all goes well....

Take care all of you and stay happy :)

Hey everyone, welcome all the new people, great to have so many people on this thread. we're gonna be rollin' in BFP's soon!!!

I've been busier at work this week than last so haven't had as much time to review the thread for personals, but I will early next week.

I'm traveling to Pittsburgh to see my old school roommates this weekend, we're gonna have a blast. I should start AF in 5 days at the most (maybe earlier) so I'll be packin' my OCPs. Take care everyone!
