Blaqdymun - Welcome this is certainly a great place to talk through the ups and downs of this journey. You certainly can't be shy when you are doing IVF. It's always interesting to watch the Dr and RNs try to make small talk while my uterus is on a large plasma screen TV on the wall of the room... I miss the days with the small computer screen monitors... I really do not need to see my uterus and ovaries on a 50 inch flat screen!

Hello to the rest of the ladies!! I will try to keep up better now that it looks like things are picking up for the Spring BFPs!!!!

Ok, I think I updated the list as well as I could. I will try to keep up with it as best as I can. I am so freakin' busy with state testing, wedding season upon us for photography and a 2 1/2 yr old to keep me busy. I sometimes wonder why I am going through this all again. But I just look at Ella and I know exactly why.

Dr's office called today to find out where I was going for bw on monday so they could fax the paperwork. Seriously?! Do you not remember the 10 minute conversation we had a couple days ago when I told you I couldn't go monday and I would need to go saturday morning to the lab in my town? And of course I didn't get the messages until after RE's office closed today. I spoke with RE late this afternoon and hopefully he fixed the problem. I will call the place in the morning before I drive to make sure they got my paperwork. If not then I will have to go monday after school and RE will have to wait until Tuesday morning for results.

Anywho, I am sooooo exhausted. Just put Ella down for bed, a bazillion things to do and I don't want to do any of them! (and I probably won't!)

Positive thoughts to everyone , just finished catching up on all your stories. .

AFM Been busy with new semester scheduling, timetabling etc. Things are fianlly settling in. Up to Wed I was doing the job of dept head, and teaching . Now that my co-worker"s returned from mat leave my responsiblities have decreased as she's gone back in the dept head role. Cool thing is that I'll still have a lot of time in resource as I'm only teaching one course this semester. I was a gr 8 math/science teacher for 7 years and then went back to university and finished my post bac in special ed. I now work in the special dept in a large inner city high school, where I teach modified core courses to special education students, and Native studies to the regular population, and resource. Life is good, now to the iceing on the cake would be that BFP. Here's hoping we all get the big dream/wish this cycle.

hi ladies! just a quick post, as i have so many things to do, but i wanted to say hello. i took a personal day from school yesterday & went to see bon jovi last night with my sil & a good friend. we made a day out of it....went out to lunch, got ready in the hotel room, then went to mohegan, where we had yummy steaks at michael jordan's restaurant & then saw bon jovi. it was a great day/night!

i ended up doing my day 3 b/w yesterday morning instead of thursday b/c i didn't really get a full flow until wednesday, so the nurse told me to go in on friday, which worked out since i was already off from school. i have a sonohysterogram scheduled for this friday morning & just waiting to hear back on insurance. af is due march 30th, so i should be starting lupron (aka...the b!t@h juice) around the 22nd. dh also has to go for b/w & a s/a. then we're good to go!

i will definitely do personals by the end of the weekend...i promise!!!

Faithful2011 Hey, how are you? Been thinking about you and hoping you feeling better.

I am in the process of making payments for my accomodation, since i have to travel to CapeTown for my ivf. As well as pay for my cycle. I have been putting it off but now with only 3 weeks left i have to get it sorted. I found a beautiful fully furnished flat, which will be my home for a month. I decided to stay until the pg test so i know where i stand when i leave, and also didnt want to travel too soon.

hallo friends today I realised that we are almost there. I used to say to DH can't wait for April for the FET am sure he was begining to get bored by the same words everyday but now I am actually excited and counting down the days. have'nt had my period since my miscarriage in Feb I don't know how long it takes for ΑF to come back but am hoping by April it will be back and I can go ahead with the FET nurse from my clinic said I should have it by then any input? She also said I should call the clinic end of month and get my scritp so that as soon as AF starts then I know what to do its my first miscarriage so I do not have much information on this. mom4sure thanx so much I am much much better am even looking forward to the FET and am crying less. So you will be spending a month in Cape town? Enjoy yourself Cape town is a beautiful place take some time to just relax and enjoy, the environment there is perfect especially for the 2week waiting.

faithful2011- hopefully, af gets here soon! it definitely takes some time for your body to readjust after a m/c, but it should definitely be here in time for you to start. i'm the same w/ getting psyched about my upcoming cycles & dh just laughs at me.

mom4sure- capetown sounds really nice & serene...it should be a perfect place for a stress-free 2ww!

heidi67- thanks, the insurance should be ok...i'm very blessed as far as insurnace goes. teachers in ct have pretty good coverage. my plan has unlimited fertility coverage. it's just a matter of time for the paperwork to go through. your job sounds very fullfilling & rewarding...good for you! i love being a teacher (most of the time, lol ) glad your co-worker has returned & you can concentrate on that bfp!

michele- thanks for taking care of the list! so what ended up happening w/ the b/w..were you able to go yesterday morning or will you have to go tomorrow after school? i love teaching health (for the most part!) i have their upmost attention when it's the adolescent development unit, lol!

dallas- how did your consult go on thursday?

bladqymun- yes, we are definitely like voo-doo dolls & hopefully we all have positive spells put on us for bfp's!!! it's very normal to be excited & scared, but you are strong & we are here for you! my sono (shg) is not the same as the hsg you're talking about. i had the hsg done before we started ttc w/ ivf & it was AWFUL!!! the nurse told me that this one (shg) is only saline put in the uterus, not dye into the tubes...phew!

nicksgam- thanks for the info on the shg. how was your consult?

Michele (CT-Michele) - Thanks for keeping the list with such a busy schedule and a 2 year old to care for. Were you able to get your b/w done?

Jennifer (Jennmink55) Sounds like you are ready to go. I think this new RE and the other changes are gonna be exactly what you need to find the “perfect egg” that will become your perfect baby! Would love to hear about the egg class and anything you learn about PGD. DH and I are still trying to decide if we will do PGD with this cycle so any info you can provide is appreciated.

Heidi Glad things are slowing down for you. You need to save up your energy to make a beautiful baby. It’s great that your schedule will be lighter but you still have the distraction of teaching to keep you going through the process. I miss teaching kids. They always have a way of taking you mind off of your own issues.

LYD10 Congrats on the doubling beta! I will be praying for tomorrow’s beta to be super high!!!!

Nicole (Nicksgam) I feel the same way seeing my name on the list makes me feel like I’m on my way to meeting my little bean. I’m very excited and also struggling to not get ahead of my self and take this journey one day at time.

Moorebaby So cool that you were able to have such a great day/night out. I love Bon Jovi but have never seen them in concert. I will be waiting for AF the last week of March also to go on BCP and start stiming near the end of April. It seems so far away but time is passing quickly. Here we go….

Faithful2011 It’s good to see that you are looking forward to your FET and feeling better. I think most of us have been through some difficult situations on this journey but we all keep our eyes on the prize and keep working towards our sweet babies! This is your time I just know it

Dallas So Sorry for your loss… There are no words but know that we are here for you to cheer you on to your next BFP which will lead to your sweet baby. Did you meet with your RE? Do you have a new plan?

Mom4sure Capetown sounds like the perfect place to make a baby!!!! Being away from home will give you a chance to enjoy being PUPO during your 2ww.


AFM – Spoke to my nurse coordinator and I will be getting my calendar with my protocol this week. I’m very excited (strange but true). This week I will be going in for a barrage of b/w and DH will be doing his s/a. I am adjusting to the Metformin although I still get sick if I eat the wrong food. Other than that I’m just glad that the snow is melting and spring is on its way with the birds and flowers and lots of BFPs!!!!

Just dropping in quick, I start lupron, or as Ester said "The ***** juice" (hahahaha), tonight! So scary to be injecting again, it has been so long. I hope lupron doesn't make me too crazy, tomorrow starts our CMT's (Connecticut State Mastery Testing). It is 3 weeks of hell without the lupron. But at least it will be over before I start stims.
