Happy New Year everyone! x

Just thought I'd drop in. We will be 8 weeks tomorrow! Is anyone else around this time? The whole morning/afternoon/evening sickness thing has begun to kick in over the last three days. Haven't actually been sick an awful lot, but just feel it on and off through the day. I must admit, the first time, I did smile to myself and thought 'this is it'! However, now I'm just beginning to panic as I'm back to work in a few days after having over a month off with OHSS etc, and where I work the loos are miles away from where I teach! Will have to take sick bags with me I think  and I'm not sure if I stand much chance of keeping it a secret if it does all come out...so to speak!!!

Also, I'm still not managing to get through the day without sleeping...and sleeping....and sleeping some more! It's gonna be interesting!

Anyway, can't wait for next scan on 10th Jan when (hopefully) we should see something very exciting!

Lots of love to you all. It's been a great help reading all of your posts.

Dear Mandy - hope your scan goes really well today :D

Just come back from my first scan and there's one beany doing really well. Nice strong heartbeat and even moving a bit, which was a real joy to see. The second didn't make it beyond about six weeks :( but the doctor say this shouldn't affect the other, who is looking great. Our doctor has put me on very low dose aspirin, which is apparently standard for women with a history of arthritus and miscarriage, both of which I've had. So it's another looooooong 3 week wait to the next scan, but both DH and I are overjoyed that we've made it this far... best yet!

A Happy New Year to you all, looking forward to catching up with your news!

Hi Ladies :D

8 weeks today and still going strong, we are so relieved and grateful :D Carloline, I am taking 100mg aspirin too and also prednisolone 4mg against the possible autoimmune reactoion from my hashimotos thyroiditis. So glad you have strong little beany there. We had one from 4 make it, but I hope one strong one gives more chance of success

Davina and Phil - so nice to hear from you, and fantastic news you must be so delighted. Best of luck for you both.

Hi Lavendar, I think you are at about the same stage as DeniseM, Caroline and me? Poor you with the sick bags. I just get mega queasy but didn't throw up yet. I am going to try and find the acupressure plasters you can put on your wrist, Zita West recommends them.

Hi Denise, yeh, I get to see my bean once a week for the first trimester..good old german health system hey??? Poor you, what is the date of your scan again??? I'll send you extra scan vibes :D

Was out this morning in my fattest jeans and driving was very uncomfortable. I am worried about squashing sweetie  I think I'll hit H&M Saturday and buy one pair of maternity cords. GULP  what do you lot think???

Big hugs to all of us

Hi guys
thanks for the post re scan today, glad to report we have 1 bean , good sac and we got to see a heartbeat , which at 6 wks is so cool! guess still not out of the woods and next milestone will be 8.5wk scan on 17th jan to see if it has grown ( she said to about 8x size) currently a grapefuit pip seed, to a jellybean with visable limbs! cant wait to see that but scared to get too excited, sound familiar? anyway she said 1st hurdle over as the sac is good , its all in the right place in the uterus and good to see heartbeat, so excellent news for now...... good luck to all you guys scanning in next few days, christine when is your scan or had you had it yet i think you were around the same time as me??? xxxx

Hey guys.

Spent a miserable night in the ER. I'm dehydrated from the severe diarrhea I've been having. So I'm on a restricted diet, and they gave me fluids via the I.V.

The good news was they did a blood test and the HCG numbers were over 98,000... not sure where they are supposed to be exactly but it sounds really encouraging.

Anyways, glad to hear you all are doing well. I'm not fitting well into my clothes either, and I'm losing weight, so something is happening!

Hi Denise
sorry to hear to have been so unwell, when i saw the IVF nurse yesterday she told me that the awful tummy upsets ( either diarehea or constipation - it goes both ways) are usually a result of getting pregnant on IVF and then your body having to cope with flushing out the ivf drugs and taking on board the high levels of pregnancy hormones. good news is that as you say you are pregnant AND she says it should correct itself by 8-10 wk. ( all i do is drink water all day and i am constantly thirsty like i never though possible). when is your scan ?

Hi ladies,

I don't want to tempt fate by moving onto this site too quickly, but today I'm 6 weeks and 3 days and have my first scan a week today. I'm finding this wait worse than the dreaded 2ww. Is this normal? Still have no symptoms apart from boobs are aching and I'm sure they've grown! Anyway, not much else to report just now, but I'll be reading everyone's stories with much eagerness as always.

Take care.
Dizzie x

I have my scan on Monday - but if this continues to get worse, I think I'll go back to the ER. Maybe this time I'll go to London as its a bigger city.

I'm hoping bubs hangs in there, at least until I can get some good help to stop this problem. My stomach isn't tolerating liquids well either, so its a struggle to get enough in there.

Hello ladies!

I'm honored to join and be part of this thread. Just found out about my pregnancy yesterday, did scan and saw the small flutter of heartbeat in my womb. I never would thought that we could conceive naturally after a IVF BFN just as recently as 4 mths ago....We've been trying for soo long that this seems so unreal...

Love,
