So sorry to those with the the sad news today. We will all be praying for you. Congrats to the BFP's, I must say I will remain a little jealous until I see mine too.

AFM- My donor had her first u/s since starting stims. They told me that it is still early, but she has 10 follicles on EACH ovary. They measure 10-20mm right now..... Is that a good measurement?? She starts her Ganirelex in the morning, what is this drug for??? How long do you take it??? I didnt take it before and Im not familiar with it. I go for my u/s tomorrow and she goes back Friday. They said that Friday we will know a little more. Could she possibly gain/loose some follicles? I wonder if we are still on target for ER sometime Mon-Tues. Im not sure, b/c I dont understand how the Ganirelex works. Any info will be helful!

There is nothing in the world that I wanted more really at this very moment, then for the genetic testing to make everything perfect and give you that BFP. REs have a hard time explaining why it didn't work and we loose confidence in all their ability because it didn't work, but all we can do is ask why? They tell us maybe they never implanted and then we ask about the levels, was the lining not thick or the estrogen levels not high enough and they say maybe it was a chromosome factor and then you are like ok lets rule that out with testing the embryos. So I'm just as disapointed that this didn't take and wonder if anything in life is ever guaranteed...What's crazy my own doctor has been recommending us to try PDG since last October and now I'm scared to death to try anything invasive related to IVF again, but IF we don't try, we loose ALL chances of ever giving it our very best shot and taking that risk again to making something in life happen! We have so much perservanance and I know that alone is going to take us far in this journey. You are loved on this board but take some time to spend with dh and when you're ready we will be here cheering you on! xoxoxo Sunshine1576

How are you doing? I am so sorry for you loss and I'm here if you need a virtual shoulder to cry on...As we all know undergoing fertility treatment is never easy, we know it certainly can make one stronger in the end though. Anything worth having in life is not meant to be easy.... so maybe we keep going and try something else? Because honestly I feel each time we do, the RE is going to try something different, maybe tweak the meds or try a different protocal?
But sometimes a break can help you recooperate and give you that clean slate of newfound hope!

AFM – Triggered last night with Lupron because I am at risk for OHSS. Tomorrow is retrieval and then day 3 PGD testing. Hoping for a day 5 transfer but I know there is a good chance I will have to wait a few months. We shall see. I am ready for these eggs to be taken out. I have over 25 follicles on each side measuring between 20-24mm. I am bloated but drinking lots of Gatorade and eating lots of salty food!!!

Vicki- congrats on your BFP! It must be surreal and amazing. So very happy for you and DH.

AFM- I am officially five days late. I went to acupuncture tonight. I have been going weekly since November and my AP knows well how regular my cycle is. She didn't want to do points to bring on AF because she was convinced it meant I was preggo spontaneously. Ha ha...I don't have tubes! She knows this but she was just so weirded out by my cycle and wasn't thinking. She eventually was talked into doing the points and I am hoping it is what I need to bring my fave aunt on.

Went to a lecture tonight presented by the director of the move Food, Inc. Made me want to switch to growing all my own food at home...maybe all this infertility stuff is all in the food we eat. I'm open to trying just about anything, including being a farmer.

Lee- It looks like you and I are having ER on the same day! Only it looks like you are an egg-making machine! I won't have nearly as many eggs!

AFM- ER is tomorrow at 12:45 pm. That means no food or water from midnight until 2:00 pm. Oh well. I'm just praying that there are a lot of good eggs and that I have not ovulated yet. Lots of cramps last night, but none now. We'll see. I'll let you all know!

Dallas: The Ganirelix to to prevent ovulation. No worries! Unlikely she will "lose" any follies, but they don't all grow at the same rate, and some will not contain a mature egg despite being the "right" size. Only ER will tell---but all is looking awesome so far!

AFM: Trying to maintain a PMA, but it's been challenging esp. today. DH could sense that I was moody tonight and he was negative said he should of gone into a different profession... Said instead of a college professor, he should of gone into construction because construction guys have better thyroids and we could of started our family 10 yrs ago...I said so are you saying we should throw in the towel and give up on this cycle??? He's like no I'm not saying that, and then we talk about something else... Maybe we need more foot massages, he's certainly too afraid to touch me right now. So I continue with the countdown but as I get closer I tend to be cautiously optimistic.....It does feel like fighting a never-ending battle.
Sorry, I'm cranky, promise to be more myself tomorrow. xxx
