Looks like mine will be cancelled again this time as last scan at cd20 showed follies stopped growing at 12-13mm. Going for scan again Tues (cd25) just in case as I sometimes have long cycles but start prob injections next time as clomid seems to have stopped working after 2 cycles.
Thanks everyone for your messages last week. Well amazingly the scan went well and I finally had my iui last Wed (cd26!). :D
Now into the dreaded 2ww and feel in need of support as I found it really tough last time. I'm trying not to think about it and not to analyze every little twinge but how do you forget? especcially when you work with 2 pregnant friends.

Sorry this is all about me - I'm new to this posting lark and there's so many people on here I can't get to grips with everyone's stories yet. :? But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you all
38,single.ttc with iuid
3 cycles 100mg clomid-BFN
2 cycles menopur-BFN
Nov 07 menopur-BFP!!
Ist scan 13/12 - 1 perfect heartbeat

 Hi

JenB - Thats the same hotel we are going to book, spooky eh.
Am not excited yet but have emailed IM to find out more about EC then will start getting excited when we here some news about eggs. I always feel nervous until i know the eggs have fertilized and are doing well. Me and dh never had a prob with fertilization and had my tubes not been blocked the Dr said we would be a really fertile couple as the sperm, eggs seem to be very compatable but with a donor???
What do you think about the number of eggs we get from the donor. IM told me they give each couple around 6 as they share them but i feel if we are paying for the treatment we should get all the eggs that come from the donor. Would be good to hear what you other Im girls think.
Hope your better soon.

Carolyn - Didnt even notice i was a valued contributor----does this mean i'm really important now lol.

Love Jen x

Hey ladies.

I have been reading and keeping up on the posts, but really struggling with who is where and when.

Shantala, Nannybear, and Squeezan take it really easy and that 2ww will be over before you know it and we can celebrate those BFPs!!!

Jayne - glad they found the clotting problems, now you can move ahead to get your BFP.

Time to go home, will catch up on personals tomorrow. I did get some dates. Start BC pill 9/4, start delestrogen 9/16, EC will be 10/19 or 20, and ET will be 10/24 or 25.

Hi Ladies,

Finally caught up on you all, Becky and Shantala made it harder with all the banter.

Shantala, way to go hun, well done on fantastic embies, plenty left over for future siblings. Rest up and take care of yourself.

Becky, so sorry AF has messed you up again, but you are making the right decision to wait, you will enjoy the wedding with a few drinks and then be able to relax on you treatment. The time will soon fly by, I know i am now a veryyyyy!!!!! patient woman. Its taken me since February to get the ok and due to not losing my weight over that time i am waiting another month so i can lose a stone.

Nannybear, congratulations on the embies back home, good luck on your 2ww.

Sqeezan, good luck to you and sticky baby dust.

Jen1d, Ooh not long now, how exciting. I would not worry about the extra weight, my consultant is a bit of an ogre and has a go at me every time he sees me as i have put on about 2 stone since he first saw me, but he did say as long as my BMI is under 30, it makes no difference. I am losing the weight as i am really not happy with myself at this size as i am only 5ft 3. I have only done 1 fresh cycle, but i was lucky and got 10 to freeze, i have done 2 frozen cycles both were positive and then lost early, clotting is a big factor in early miscarraige, so fingers crossed for my last FET as i only have 4 left.

Carolyn, I hope you are doing ok, thanks for the support, i feel very positive but very angry that this simple blood test is not carried out when we are first sent for infertility tests, it has taken me three years to get this result. and a lot of expense and heartache.grrr

So DH and i have thought long and hard, and decided not to go on this AF, and try to lose some weight and get ourselves sorted, so if my AF behaves and lucky for me she does, i should be ready to go in 7 weeks, that will be the start of downregging for FET, my other dilemma ladies is do i defrost all 4, and maybe waste some or do i defrost 2 and hope they survive and i hopefully get another go. I have always defrosted 3 and had 2 really good ones. They are all day 2, most are 4 cell and i think there is still 1 6cell. what should i do??

To everyone else i am thinking of you all, take care and sticky baby dust to you all.

Jen1d – hope that counselling goes well again today. Scan tomorrow. Sending you loads of positive vibes. I really don’t think that the weight will make any difference unless you are very skinny (like Posh) or really heavy (BMI over 30). As long as you are in that range then my consultant said that it is a non issue. We all struggle with weight because of the dam drugs. I have put on close to 2 stone since I got married two years ago. Are you paying cash for the treatment? Can you put it on a credit card? Think that I read somewhere that there might be a 10% discount for cash – is that right or did I dream that? Anyway best of luck tomorrow. Hope that you are enjoying your two weeks off work. I am so jealous

Gill – hope that it is quick for me too. Desperate to get going. Doing an AF jig for you. Hope that she behaves and is here tomorrow as soon as you stop the pill.

I am not going to rise to the bate with either of you about being a posh bird!!!!!! We might stay for a week in Barcelona for ET and turn it into a holiday as we have not had one this year. If so then we will find the poshest hotel in Barcelona and be sure to stay there just to give you two something to chat about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shantala – very quiet hun – hope that means that you are resting up well and looking after the little embies. Thought that you would be on here chit chatting away all day! Let us know how you are doing.

Nannybear – 6 back. WOW. That is amazing. I had to fight for 3 back even when I was over 4-0 in the UK. With two consultants asking me if I was really sure. Hope that it gives you the best possible chance of a BFP

Squeezan – So glad that it went ahead when you were so sure that it might not. Hope that you are able to relax a little in the 2ww

Kim – good that you have dates now. I so hope that I will not be far behind you

JB – sorry that you are still under the weather. With the auto immune, it means that everything hits you really hard. I had a cold at the start of my last cycle and it really laid me low when others would have been up and about within days. Just need to listen to your body and give yourself time to get better. Hugs

Pequele – sorry that you have to wait another month. So frustrating but it is better that they stabilise your cycle first. Honest . Will give t the best chance to work

Jayne – glad they found a reason but totally understand that you feel that they should have found it sooner for you. I am trying to lose some weight too but just find that eating is one of the few things that gives me solace right now. Then I hate the fact that I piled on the lbs and all my clothes are tight. It is such a bummer. We need to take inspiration from Rachel. My clinic told me that they could defrost 2 – see how they go. Then they could defrost the others if need be. They said that it only takes about 45 minutes to defrost so they can do it in stages. Might be worth asking if this is possible for you?

Rachel – you have been quiet for a few days. Are you ok hun? Have you weighed in lately – any more progress to report to us!!!

Beckster – another one who has been quiet. Most unusual. Hope that you are just taking some time away and chilling it out

Aunty – lovely all the pretty smiles that you do. They almost make me feel so much better

Hugs to anyone that I missed.

Not much news for me. Not very happy yesterday about never having my own child. Hoping that books will arrive and can start reading how to come to terms with this. We go to Barcelona five weeks today so trying to focus on that today instead.

Best get on and do some work. Doing this in Word so everyone thinks that I am working. Then going to do a quick cut and paste onto the board. Sneaky ehh.

Love to you all.

hi all

i've not been getting the notifications from the site to say someone has posted and every time i looked on the general forum the thread was fairly low down so always thought oh, well, just a bit quiet at the moment. then i come on here and realise that ive missed a couple of pages worth of posts! anyway, here it goes...

nannybear - wow, 6!!! thats great! i agree with jen1d, i think the UK should allow you more too. (here its max 2 if under 40 and max 3 if over). like you said, jen, it's our bodies, our money, etc, should be up to us! anyway, when do you test?? think we might be testing around the same time! lots of sticky baby dust!!

gill - yes, i'm resting thanks. well, as much as i can. how are you?? oh my god, only one more day for you until you stop taking the pill!!! its all going so quickly!

lara - aaaww, thanks hun! sorry, didnt mean to make you cry! bless you! has AF shown for you yet? (hope it hasnt! ) wow, 2 dress sizes! thats amazing hun! hat off to you! how are the headaches by the way?? i can really sympathise with you as i suffer from migraines....hope they're not too bad for you hun!

aunty - thanks hun for the PUPO post! how's you?? did your FIL do an ok job??? hope so!

becky - hey hun, glad you had a good ann summers party....    about your post!!! did you enjoy your magazine?

jen1d - welcome to the "valued contributor" club!!  anywya, it sounds like it never rains for you but bloody pours!!! it's just one thing after another for you, isnt it?! anyway, glad you found another hotel! you must be getting excited now! when do you find out about how many eggs you have?? hope counselling goes well today and good luck for scan tomorrow!!

JB - thanks hun! i didnt get any snow babies last time either, which was hard as we honestly thought we would get some (sort of took that for granted coz of my age, and just generally coz i didnt know how this whole thing worked first time round). so even more chuffed this time! anywya, keeping my fingers crossed that your donor make some snow babies for you!!! so sorry to hear you've taken a right beating!!! bless you...hope you feel much, much better soon!!

carolyn - hey hun, how are you?? completely understand about doing reading/research....it does help, doesnt it!? anyway, only 5 more days and then its less than 4 weeks to your app!!! woohoo!!! we're terrible at wishing our time away, aren't we? but hey, only 5 more days!! oh, hang on, there's another post from you....i've been typing that long today (and watching TV inbetween) that you've had a chance to post again. yes, sorry, i've been a bit quiet. have spent a lot of time with my mum over the weekend. anyway, so sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterday. did you see that post by JB when she started that egg-heads thread?? it's the one about light bulbs and it so makes sense! and thats from a book, which sounds really good! just think it might help....hugs! xx

beachbaby - fantastic news about the clotting problem! no, thats not right. oh, you know what i mean! its great to have found something that is the cause of all the chemicals. and something that can hopefully be prevented for the future!!! i'm not explaining myself properly! :? hope you enjoyed those couple of glasses of wine! make sure you have one for me!!

pequele - i'm a bit confused about whats happening about your cycle but only coz ive not done IUI before and therefore doesnt understand how it all works. so, sorry, for my ignorance. but i figure that you're being delayed by another cycle? if i got that right, then so sorry hun. we were delayed over and over again with our first cycle and its such a disappointment. but the time has to be right so i'm sure it will be when you get to do it! hugs!

squeezan - congrats honey!!!!!!!! thats fantastic news!! you're officially PUPO!! (pregnant until proven otherwise!) when do you test?? and dont worry about not doing personals. its quite a big thread so there's a lot of people to get to know! i'm not surprised you're struggling to keep up!!

babyblue - thanks hun. fantastic news about getting your dates! i love getting my dates (complete control freak! ) and always feel better when i do. oohh, not far for you!!

hi to everyone else!!!  sorry about my long post!  i'm ok thanks. taking it easy but at the same time not thinking about the embies 24/7. last time, thats all i thought about for the 2 weeks and wouldnt do anything...more or less laid up the whole time! whereas this time, i'm carrying on as normal but just not having any baths or lifting anything heavy! and not thinking about the embies ALL the time! (is that bad?)

:?: for you guys - since EC ive had REALLY bad backache, which spreads to my sides every now and then. and for the last couple of days it has stung slightly in the mornings when going to the loo. do you think i may have a urine infection?? and if so, i guess that can harm the embies?? i'm going to drink even more today to try and flush it through my system but just worried it's affecting the embies. :? anyway, apart from that, just sore (.)(.) (which i didnt have last time!) but thats it. but then hey, my cycle has been soooo different this time that i cant compare it to my last time. only 10 more days or so to go....eek!

bye for now!!!!!!

:x Having a nightmare day, just feel so stressed out and anxious. You know how i always hate myself cause of the weight thing, stress. Then Im emailed and reminded us to bring an extra 800 Euros for frosties (if we have any), was sure we were told that was included in price, anyway more money, more stress. Then my family are all fed up and groaning about life, stress, doing my svq, stress and this waiting game and not knowing whats going on in Big B, magor stress. Thank god i've got my counselling tonight----hope she has 6 hours to spare

I am such an organised person and like to have everything in place so having to wait and not know what is going on with the ed is driving me mad. When going through our other cycles, its the Ec, waiting to find out how many eggs we have then if they fertilize, which is the worse bit. I feel i dont know anything this time and just want some info. Emailed IM but they haven't replied :x and if they dont soon i will be up the wall

Shantala - Glad your managing to have some realaxing days. Its so hard looking into every twinge and feeling in our bodies dureing the 2ww, you are doing the right thing but just getting on with it and taking one day at a time. Good luck babe

Off to study

helloooooooooo everyone

loads of posts to catch up with so here goes...

Rachel- Ah hun so sorry you've had a stinky migraine since Sat. do you think that ***** AF has anything to do with it???? As for 1lb lost is still going in the righht direction hun. :D You are doing so well especially during AF week. It's a week where i normally stuff my face with choc and carbs...then more choc and more carbs...SO you are doing GOOD :D :D
Hope she comes soon, and your migraine rights itself with the hormone surges. Or sooner x x We admire you and your weight loss so much Rachel. x x

Jen1d- Ah hun the stress it totaly a nightmare at this time. I do hope that counselling tonight lets it all out. Soon it will be your 9am appointment for scan ( best time of day hun) and everything with be A okay for transfer. Im wouldnt tell you to go for scan unless they were sure of eggies arriving soon. Told us that at the drop of a hat we may have to fly to Big B without knowing about any eggs and find out when we get there. Just depend on how donor responds and which one of the 2 they use. Hope that doesn't happen to you and you get some news soon. Have you heard from acu lady or is she still rubbering you? Have you transfered money to Im yet? or are yu taking cash? I forgot about the extra 800 euros too :? money money money!!!!

Gill- Is today the last pill? Doe AF normally come withina day of stopping the pill as carolyn said? the last time i took the pill was 21. ( 19 years ago yikes) so cannot remember what happens or how soon af comes after stopping it?

Carolyn- Sorry you have been going through the mill emotionally hun x x(((HUGS)))IM only take cash in euros or a money transfer. Pay 10% of tmt and 1st appointment consultation approx ( 1300 euros) and balance of tmt 15 days before ET ( by money transfer in euros) Still need to sort out that one at the bank for ourselves ( not the money  lol the transfer of funds) Hope that helps hun x x

welshy- Sorry to hear about AF playing hide and seek. But good news that if AF is a few more days late that you could start tmt soon....if not are you ok about waiting another month? Suppose you got no choice and at least you can get stinking drunk at wedding!!!! LOL

Shantala- Oh hun 10 days to go...glad to hear you are not stressing too much. I like your plan as i too always focused too much on embies at transfer. . Maybe the pain is embies embedding  :D If it was an infection peeing would be soreer and much more painful by the end of today??? As you say drink tons of water and cranberry juice hun x x
good luck and lots of sticky dust!!!!!!

jayne at last they have found a solution to your problem...as you say WHY couldn't they have found that sooner!!!!Duh!!!! Everyone should get the blood check done. x x I have never had the special chance of having and using frosties..but thik what carolyn said sounds right and would fit. Could you/ wuld you transfer 3 ? Good luck for next tmt cycle in 7wks Hun. x x maybe wee'll be on 2ww together x x

Hi to evryone else...sorry so many posts to catch up with and so little time.

I am healing well...lots of TLC from DH the past 2 days has really helped. Staring to feel very hungry too which is a good sign. Thought i might have lost a truc load of weight with feeling so ill but only lost 2lbs :? Better than nothing i suppose. Have another week of progesterone pill ( until wed 22nd) then hope AF arrives sharpish and we can begin tmt!!!!!
Know it's going to be a roller coaster but it has been over a year since last cycle and i am totally ready for it and to become preggers.

my friend is up from London this Saturday ( staying sat until next wed) so looking forward to having time with her. :D

love to you all

cd26 is cycle day 26 - with iui i start scans around day 8 to 10 then every few days until get follies of 18mm+. This should be around day 14 when I get a trigger shot and iui the next day. My cycle is crazy and follies weren't ready til day 26 this time.
I'm due to test next wed 22nd

Thankfully its been sooooo busy at work this week I haven't had time to think until the evenings. I'm babysitting my 4 yr old niece and 1yr old nephew for 2 days/1 night at weekend so that will keep me busy too.

pequele
I understand your problems with opk's. I've not detected a surge yet in 4 cycles (but spent a fortune on them) so I get a trigger shot to be sure. Hope u get to grips with it soon

Hi

Just had counselling and was feeling better then just got home and IM emailed. They said its a public holiday in Spain tomorrow so they will email on Thursday :x another day to wait. Then they said if all is well then we will probably have ET in the next 2-3 WEEKS, surely they mean days and then but it will probably be the week after??? Then at the end they said to reserve the flights but with insurance so we can cancel---my head is like mince again.
We are just going to have our scan then wait for info on Thursday.

Oh i wish it was all over

Hi Sqeeze
I am excited to see you going through the same process I am...IUI and single and 34. Most on here I think are doing IVF...not that I mind, they are a great group of ladies!!!! Just sometimes when you need an answer most let ya know they aren't sure cuz they didn't go thru IUI.

Like I said, processes are diff, but they still tell you what they can!!!

I had to wait out this cycle again...just started with my consults last cycle. I have been on BC for years and last cycle was my first off....it was a bit wonky so she wants me to wait out this month too....SOOOOO MAD!!!!       SUCKY SUCKY SUCKY!!! I had a 27 day cycle last time...I'm hoping I can be one of those short cyclers with plenty of luteal phase...unlike it appears I had last cycle!

Sounds like you have had US. Did you use any meds? I think I want to do med free a cycle at least but still back and forth!!!
thanks
