Well, on Tuesday it was back to the hospital for me early in the morning for contractions that hurt like a you know what. So, they admitted me and monitored me. My cervix length went from 3cm (on Sat) to a 2.5cm on Tuesday. So obviously these babies were trying very slowly to come out. They put me on some meds to stop the contractions and I had to stay there till today being monitored. The meds worked thankfully because if they had not then I would have had to get magnesium which I hear is horrible and makes you feel like you have a bad flu. But, that means that if I go in again with the same thing I have to go straight to that because the pills I took this time were a one shot deal. I came home with a prescription that I take if I start having contractions 10 minutes apart again. If it does not work at home then I go straight back to the hospital.

Now I am just fearful of real labor because I just got a small taste of it and it hurt like crap. So hopefully I will just have my scheduled csection and not really go into labor. So now I am on bed rest for the remainder of pregnancy. I am allowed to lounge in a pool but not swim, take the dogs outside real fast, and get food, and potty. That is about it. Just walking out of the hospital, home and such I had a contraction which means I really can not do anything. But my doctor was really nice and he just makes me more comfortable. The nurses were great (minus the last one I had who left me without fluids for like 12 hours). I HATE having to push the call button for some water or something. The last nurse just never checked on me and I had to remind her that I got to go home today and to get my papers ready. I was ready to leave! SO boring in the hospital not allowed to leave your room.

But, I am home now which is great. Hopefully I do not have to go back there for at least 9 more weeks! The doctor is hoping I make it till 34 weeks but the look in his eyes are doubtful. So hopefully I can hold everything off as long as possible. At least till 32 weeks.

Other than that, it looks like I have not missed too much with you ladies!! Yay for cincin getting that Oct. 8 section!! I have only gained 15 pounds which is fine with me!! But I am going to start putting it on now I am sure.

Suga: Glad to hear that you are home and doing better now. You have been in my thoughts and prayers all week. Now, lets keep those girls in there for at least 9 more weeks. Keep off your feet.

Katie: Have fun painting and getting the room together.

Cincin: That is sooo sad. I will keep them in my prayers. Yayy for scheduling your c-section. How exciting.

Rio and Mellie: I got my crib at Burlington's and love it. It also has the drop down side...it is the only one I could find in the new type of style. It is called the Delta Liberty if you want to google it. I couldnt find it online at Burlington's only in the store. However, there are other stores that carry it. I paid less than $200 catching a sale...but that is the average price of them too, which isnt bad...considering it is convertible and will last Zach forever. I have heard that the best bottles ( I am breast feeding too but want back up) are the Avent ones. (I dont know about BPA though....does it matter if you dont microwave them?) I have heard from my local friends/moms forum that they use tap water to heat them. Anyhow they all love Avent...but the trick to get them not to leak is to tighten the lids only till they are tight and not beyond. (Not too tight...Not too loose either.)

Mellie: You are soo tiny. My belly looks huge compared to yours. Love the names, Evelyn was on my girl list.

Loopie: Yes, you should post some of your art pieces. I also think I would buy a "Bumpin '08" tshirt. LOL

Corny: Love your blog. I left you a comment (in case your were wondering ...who Tammy is). LOL

Jomae: Brrr winter...although you probably arent as miserable as I am with all the heat. LOL I would take winter right now. LOL If I go outside ...I swell up like a balloon. I got my ring resized already. 1 3/4 sizes!!! Free sizing...so I figured what the heck. It is slightly loose now, but I am sure to fill it out soon. LOL

Love all the puppy pics. I am a kitty girl myself. But, I lost my sweet kitty "Doogie" (as in Howser...LOL) after having him 16 years almost 3 yrs ago this November and cant bring myself to replace him. I decide that while Zach was young ....I wouldnt worry about picking hair off of him every 2 minutes...that I would wait till he is around 3ish and asks for a puppy or kitty and then let him pick out the next one. Sometimes it is really lonely not having a fur baby...but losing my Doogie was just so devastating to me...that I still cant take down his 8 by 10 pic. I lost my parents when young....and I had Doogie longer than I even had my parents. So I suppose that is why.

I just finished another round of antibiotics for another UTI. Just took infant/children CPR classes (CPR changed this year for those of you who didnt know). It is 30 compressions to 2 breaths now for everyone. We took Newborn Child Care classes....and Child Birth classes. We really learned alot and loved the classes.

My GD is out of control again. Not really bad, but working on it again. I had a huge BS drop last Monday night and was glad we were able to catch it in time. I dropped so fast that another couple of minutes...I could have gone into diabetic shock, seizures, and died. However, we were in the right place at the right time and all is good now. After that my BS went sky high and my insulin has been upped big time again. Apparantly I am at the point where the hormones are up and the placenta is growing ...which for me means upping my insulin ...and which is why they test everyone else around 24-28 weeks. I didnt know that.

Other than that...I am well, just very very tired. I have slept alot this week. If you remember I had insomnia bad in the first trimester...so my body is all whacked out. LOL

Hope everyone else is doing well. Hoping to hear from the girls that are missing, too. :D

Hi Mommies! Happy Saturday!

Suga - Yay! I am so glad those babies are staying put in there. You just take it super easy and if you think you are better off in the hospital, I would put up a stink if I were you.

Cincinnatidreams - I am so sorry to hear about your friend's niece, but I will be praying for their little fighter. I sent you a PM asking a few questions about her experience. I am just so worried something similar will happen to my little girls.

Tammy - I love the nursery and thanks for posting on my blog. It was very sweet of you. Everyone I know has used Avent bottles and swears by them, although they are not BPA free. I haven't decided if I will use them anyways, or try to find something similar that is BPA free.

Gecko - hope DH is ok. Is he done with the fires? I hear it's just been awful up there.

Rio, that puppy is adorable. All the puppies are. As are the belly pics. I haven't been brave enough to let anyone take a picture of me yet. Although since my surgery, my belly has actually gotten a little smaller (thanks to the fluid levels evening out). And oh my gosh, I FINALLY felt the babies kick! I have been waiting and waiting and I finally know for sure it was kicks! My belly even moved a little and DH got to see it this morning. It's amazing what a sense of relief it can give you in between u/s appointments.

You all should check out babyuniverse.com if you haven't already. I found a 4pc crib set that I liked and on all the websites it was $199. Then I checked babyuniverse and it was on sale for $110! They also have free shipping and if you sign up for their newsletter they give you an extra $10 discount at checkout. Seems like they have some great pricing and I ordered my crib sets Wed PM and they were delivered yesterday! Only 2 days! They have everything...cribs, strollers, you name it. I am pretty excited about starting the nursery, but it'll probably be another month or so before we set up the cribs. Well, that's all from this bedrest gal. Next appointment to check on the girls is Monday...will update the 'ole blog when we get home.

Oh - here's the crib bedding I got...

Still no word from Mia, huh? That worries me. What about Sassy? Anyone heard from her?

Suga - I'm so glad you're doing better. And, I want to second what Corny said, I agree that you should ask to go back and stay in the hospital if you have any concerns at all. The next few months are the most important of your little girls' lives and you deserve the best care possible. Hope you are able to relax and keep the girls nice and safe. I'm so happy for you that they stayed put! :D

Tammy - Thanks for the tip on Burlington. I'll have to check that out.I think regarding BPA that the microwave isn't important. My friend's obgyn even told her to stop drinking bottled water b/c of BPA! My best friend said that she and her friends used dr. brown's bottles. They have glass ones that are BPA free. I registered for those at Babies R Us.

Gotta run! Hubby needs us to go to the pub down the street to watch the European Soccer Championships! He has already is getting baby soccer shoes for our little girl!

On the BPA stuff ladies, I read an article in the newspaper that Dr. Browns (plastic too) and Advent are BPA free. So, if you can not afford glass bottles (way expensive to buy a lot of em) those in plastic are safe as well.

Ok, DH is at work today and I was bored so I decided to check out all this BPA stuff, well at least for Avent bottles, because that's what I really was hoping to use. According to their website, they are coming out with BPA free bottles this summer, but they still say that their old bottles are perfectly safe. They have a Q&A on their website that I thought was interesting, so I've posted it here. Have a great day ladies!

Suga- sorry you went through all that but I am glad that the meds worked and that the girls are hanging in there, I am praying for them to stay inside until they are nice and ready :) sorry that you got poorly treated at the hospital, that stinks  Please take it easy and tell those little girls to be patient :)
Katie - glad all is well  please post a pup picture!
Cinci - good job on the weight!
Tammy I heard good things about "bornfree" bottles that don't have BPA. I don't think it matters if you microwave them, BPA will still leach out just with warm water, I heard you are not suppose to leave a bottle of water in the car then drink it. I got our crib! It is a Delta Sienna, convertible - drop side from Wal Mart for $299. At least that part is over, on to gliders now! Sorry to hear about your Doggie, he sounds like he was a sweetie, it is amazing how much you can love these little creatures that come into your life and steal your heart! They just bring so much joy!
Corny - Congrats on feeling the girls move! How exciting to have two sets of little feet kicking you :) Glad you are feeling well! I think I am going with bornfree bottles, they got good reviews on reducing colic and being BPA free.

I have just been busy with puppy and my old pup, they both require lots of attention. I haven't been able to sleep cause I am so uncomfortable while still using two body pillows, anyone having trouble sleeping? I go for another u/s in two weeks, I can't believe it will be 2 mos between u/s I was getting hooked! Got my glucose test tomorrow also, yuck!

I hear ya, Rio. I had a very nice boring check up yesterday. Boring is good. LOL I will finally have another u/s in 2 weeks and cant wait. It will only be 6 weeks between for me. Thank God for the home doppler unit that we got. I love that thing. It keeps me sane. LOL

On a whim we decided to check out the 0% financing sale yesterday...and ended up buying a new car, the Pontiac G6. Ours was only a 2006 and 2 yrs old...but my DH (we werent married yet) bought it used, in 2006...without me... with alot of miles already on it. Ugh. I couldve killed him. LOL DH learned last night...to look out when I am wheeling and dealing....he was shocked and loving it. LOL Anyhow, we ended up getting a great deal...and with the negative equity are in the same payment....but we put 0 down with 0% financing, and now have a warranty, 4 miles on it, lifetime powertrain warranty, lifetime free unlimited car washes, gap insurance, and no worries. This is the car ...except ours is in black....and it actually looks way more sporty in person than in this pic. LOL

Rio - I googled your crib. It's beautiful! Are you buying any of the furniture that goes with it or do you already have things you can use?

Corny - Thanks for the link. Very interesting. We went w/glass bottles from Dr. Brown's when we registered a few weeks ago.

Tammy - That car looks terrific! Wish you were here to wheel and deal for me! I'm so uncomfortable doing that stuff. I guess it's good that we ordered our Prius online b/c DH and I would not be good at haggling. Before this, we went to Carmax way back when we had cars b/c we knew we were lousy and the wheeling and dealing.

I have a wisdom tooth that partially broke off back when we were doing IVF and now it starts to hurt. I need to make an appt w/the dentist. I don't want to have it removed while I'm pregnant but I'm afraid that that's where we're heading.

I'm in LA for work. It's beautiful out here. Actually cooler weather than what we were having in Chicago. I love breakfast in hotels! I just had pancakes, eggs, bacon, milk and a plate of fruit at the buffet! I'm so stuffed I need a nap now.

Hope everyone's feeling good!

Welcome to LA, Mellie! The weather here is great this week, which just makes it even harder to stay in bed all the time. Glad you get to enjoy it though.

Sug- I have my fingers crossed that the glucose test is all good. How are the contractions? Are they staying away?

Tammy, I love the new car. I actually rented one of those back in Feb to drive from LA to Phoenix for work and I really liked it. It was super comfy and got amazing gas mileage. I made it all the way there on one tank! I got the bug for a new car a few months ago (mine is a 1999), but I am so glad I didn't get one. Being on bedrest for the last 2 months mine just sits in the garage, and it would be a bummer to be paying on a new car that just sits there. Our big car, a Yukon Denali (which I always thought would be my Mom car) got stolen, so now DH has a Toyota Matrix. It's small but gets good gas mileage and makes for a good commuter car for him to get to the fire station. And luckily my old one is an SUV, so the babies will fit in that for a while.

Ok, enough rambling. I guess I get long-winded when I'm home alone, so I apologize for that. Oh - we had an u/s yesterday. Results are posted on my blog, so I won't bother to repeat it all here.

Anyone with big plans for the 4th?

Rio---I am getting a white crib and Ive been looking at the DaVinci Kalani (same price as yours) but not drop side. Have you opened it? I have so far chosen the Kalani b/c all the reviews says its the bright white not the off / pale white some turn out to be. Those are find but to match the bedding I have I need a bright white furniture. Im intersted if yours is bright white? I like how its drop side. Most are not these days so that may be a way to go if thats the case. Let me know your thoughts.
