HIGH FSH AND PREGNANT!!!

Post by Notski »

Dear all,

I am happy to share a good news that after trying to do several IVFs (practically around the globe), my wife is currently in her 4th months pregnancy!!!

This is a really amazing news for us as my wife has a 14.2 FSH and many facilities have rejected to help us due to the low chance that we have.

I also hope that this could become another lifeline of hope for those who has the same case.

Now, I really hope for your kind prays for the healthy and safety of both mom and the baby.

Notski,

Congratulation for your miracle. Thanks for story very inspiring. My last FSH also high. But DR told me on my 1st IVF that i did a good job in producing eggs. Only it was BFN. So I have stopped to worry about my FSH. Miracle happen. Good luck to you n your wife. You are in my prayer. God bless.

Fantastic news...well done..

I am 5 weeks pregnant after my 7th cycle of IVF..and have a high FSH of 15 or so.

My consultant has always said to forget about that and think of my age as he believes that makes more of a difference as although I only produce 2-4 eggs a cycle they are a good quality.

I wish you all the best for the next few months.

Notski, that is a great news. Congratulations !. Good luck to you and our prayers are with you.

Fingers crossed,

I am very happy for you too. Your experience is really is inspiring. I have gone thru 2 cycles of stimulation with low egg count. I was stimulations on Follistim and Menopur both times. 1st IVF I had only 1 egg, so the RE turned that into an IUI. Tried another with same medication but with Flare protocol, largest dose of medication. But still I was able to produce only 2 eggs. Finally 1 fertilized and was tranferred. It was a BFN. I would be glad to know what medication you were on. I even discussed with my RE if Gonal-f would do any better for me. I am curious to know if there is a different protocol or medication that would improve the number of eggs to some extent, so that I have a better chance in the next cycle.

I know many people have discussed on this board, but I still want to ask if it is necessary to have a 2 or 3 month break between cycles ?

Thanks.

Chunchun,

Sorry to read your story and BFN. Im happy to see that you are ready to try again.

About the waiting between cyclyes... My RE said that I should start with my 3rd AF. That usually is about 2 months wait.

Its good to give your body a break and good to get the drugs out of your system.

Good luck to you.

Jackie..Have they discussed the PGD with you. I see you have had several pregnancy but then miscarried.

I had one pregnancy and miscarried at 19 weeks and they want me to do PGD. My husband and I do not believe we are going that route as this is our first IVF attempt.

My FSH was around 10.8 and one clinic would not even do IVF as they said that was too high.

Have any of you done the clomid challenge test? Or are these high FSH numbers on day 3?

Thanks. :)

I do not know too much about it. Have you and your husband both had karyotyping done?
I know PGD does test 9 differnt chromosomes. Karyotyping does look at all 23.

PGD is recommended for recurrent pregnancy loss.

Good luck!!

Hi

It is great to hear of success stories from couples who have become pregnant when having high FSH, my FSH is around 12, although on my last test it had come down to 8.9. My clinic were a bit reluctant to let me do tmt at 1st but I've had 2 pregnancies out of 4, but sadly miscarried, they have also said they are taking my age into consideration and forgetting about the FSH for the time being. I am due to do my 5th cycle of IVF in Feb....

Congratulations to all those who have become pregnant and good luck to those who are still trying, it will happen...!

Skidoo,

We havent done karyotyping done but RE said that they will be checking 11 chromosomes. Ive heard that PGD increases the chances and implantation greatly.

I will et you know.

Thanks,
Jackie

Jackie,

Thanks for your encouraging words. I think I will wait for atleast 2 AFs before I start my next cycle. Good luck to you.

I am also planning to go for a second opinion to another RE, hoping that would help in some way.

Thanks.
