Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I am 31 years old and my DH is 35. We have been ttc for almost 11 years. I have a growth on my pituitary gland which messes with my hormones. Subsequently I have erratic ovultion. I have just completed 4 cycles of clomid and am due to see our consultant again 27th November and at our last appointment we were told that if clomid wasn't successful then next step would be IVF referral.

Any advice, tips etc would be very welcome as I am so scared of having IVF, have heard almost all the horror stories and I am terrified of it failing.

What are your experiences?

Mrslfc, welcome to this forum!!, you'll find amazing people here that will make this journey a little bit less stressful.
I am on my first IVF cycle, almost over, just waiting for the pregnancy test!!!, so anxious that you cannot imagine!!
But the whole process wasn't terrible at all, I would do it again as many times as I had to (hope not though ). People scare you about the shots and all that, but I did not suffer at all, and I am a needle freak, I hate needles, but everything went smooth, I didn't have any problems at all.
When you are about to start I would recomend you to join the thread that belongs to your month, for example I had my egg retrieval and embryo transfer in November, so I am in the November girls thread. And believe me that it helps a lot, because there everybody is at the same stage as you and everybody shares experiences, questions, etc.
