good chance that treatment will be stopped on sunday

Hi all, just thought id let you all know that the clinic, St. Marys, Manchester have said that they might have to stop my treatment on sunday as they oestrogen level is so high, and the fact that 32 follicles have grown puts me in risk of getting OHSS. We told the clinic that 225ml of merional semed to high, going of previous treatment cyles elsewhere but they were and still are adimant that that was the correct dose. We might not even get to the theatre on monday for egg collection, they might just stop all injections. Love Julie M

Oh Julie, How terrible for you after all this time waiting, I'm so sorry for you sweetie. I really hope that things turn out OK - it may be that they have to freeze everything as OHSS is worse if you get pg which, fingers crossed means you can have lots of natural, stress-free cycles with your frosties. I really hope so. If you are in for e/c monday - then snap - and I'll just be down the road at CARE. I've got the opposite problem - on 600iu (I though I was on max at MFS with 450) and only got 3 decent follies - and two trailing behind which may or may not be viable. Taking hCG at 11:30 tonight, so glad the injections are all over. I know we're takng a risk going ahead, but we're trying to make the best out of it. Julie you poor thing - i know how this feels as my 1st cycle was abandoned cos i had 40 follies. Have you spoken to the clinic about coasting?? I know its shit but OHSS can make you really poorly and your health comes first Lots of love Vicki Good luck
