what is this bleeding?

Hi
Please could somebody help, I am new to the board and am posting because I have had a cycle of IVF for the first time. 2 embryos were put back 13 days ago and I am due to go for a pregnancy test this Friday. This morning I had some light bleeding. I am now very worried. I have phoned the clinic and they have told me to rest. Has anyone else experienced this and still become pregnant? I don't know what is causing it. Please could anybody advise?

Sorry you are having some bleeding. It could be a few things and realistically you will just have to wait for your test - you must test very soon???

It could be your period, it could be implantation bleeding... The best thing to do is to take it easy as your clinic says - nothing you can do will alter the result though...

I know it will not help, but many women on this site have has some form of bleeding - myself included - and gone on to have successful pregnancies. I'm afraid it really is a waiting game.

I had some light bleeding for 3 days prior to my test. The actual pregnancy test day I awoke to what I thought was my period. It turned out to be implantation bleeding because I received a BFP and I am just shy of my 25th week of pregnancy with twins. Good luck and don't worry too much. It could be great news!

Sorry for the bleeding . You have had two positive replied from another moms. But i would like to share my unlucky story .
I hope this reply will make you to be ready and prepare yourself for all the result.

I got bleeding on my 1st attempt , around 18 days after embryo had transferred.
And now i am going through 2nd attempt.

Everything could possibly happend.
I hope your bleeding is related with sign of pregnancy but if that is continuing during the day and end up with menstruation , than keep your faith and be strong .

I was so stress but i have got over that and move forward.

i guess as you all say it is just a waiting game, it is so frustrating though, I think today things seem a bit better have not had any yet so fingers crossed all will be alright.

So, today you must be 14 dpt, right? Even if it's a 2-day transfer, you'd be 16 dp ER. (As a comparison, my clinic does our two beta's on 12 dp ER and 14 dp ER). I'd say you're due for your bloodwork / beta test to find out for sure one way or the other and put your mind at ease. Can you call your doctor and see if they can do your bloodwork? During my IVF class they told us that if you have bleeding, don't assume you are not pregnant and act as if you are not. Many woman have bleeding and get a BFP. I hope you do!
