I am back on the boards after a year or so away - having failed three times with IVF my DH and I decided we would stop trying (however, we are back for one last attempt .... just can't quite give up.)
Anyway - I was doing a bit of research today on the internet and found a quite amazing story of a woman in America who was 42 and took a hormone called DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone), then over several cycles managed to freeze 66 embryos .... can this be true?? I have been described as a "poor responder"
and thus am very interested to find out if anyone here has further information about this. I am English but live in the Netherlands and have not been very impressed by the level of knowledge that my 'specialist' has about new techniques and developments in ivf (about six months ago we asked our ivf clinic what they thought about getting tested for Natural Killer Cells and whether they felt it would be beneficial for us and they had not even heard of the research into this!Anyway - if anyone has any info -please let me know.
