Acupuncture or reflexology??

Hi I am considering going for either acu or reflexology before my next treatment (donor insem) in January but wondered which I should try first?

Does anyone have any stories to share that could help me make my decision?

Hello

I did both and nothing happened with reflexology except it helped me relax a bit. I do believe acupuncture helped me get pregnant and maintain the pregnancy. And all the way through it has relieved any bad symptoms like I had really bad headaches............as soon as I went for acu every week, the headaches stopped. so I am a believer!
Just make sure you find someone who has a good track record and can tell you some success stories.

I did some acupuncture with my last FET and loved it. It not only helped me relax, but it was the first time with any of my attempts that I actually did get a positive result. Unfortunately I lost that one, but I feel that my acupuncture did help. I would look for someone who specializes in women's issues and can not only follow the IVF "recipe", but has knowledge of other treatments to help you. I am definitely a believer - not to mention my two other friends here who had positive results both did acupuncture. I think at the end of the day it can't hurt you and can only aid in relaxing your body. Good luck!

Lis - I'm absolutely convinced that accupunture worked for me. My DH and I have been TTC for a year and a half and we were booked in for IVF at the end of Dec. In October my DH and I had 5 treatments each for accupunture and at my next ovulation in November I fell pregnant!! I'm now 4 weeks and 4 days preggers!

what have you decided, to do Lisa? I have had reflexology, and it did chill me out, but you know it didnt get me pregnant.

I dont like needles, s acu isnt something i would consider, this is one reaon why i am worried about ivf, i just keep thinking bout the end result.

BEFORE YOU PUT A DIME DOWN ON THE IVF PROCEDURE......PLEASE HAVE THEM SHOW YOU WHAT YOU ALL HAVE TO DO WITH THE NEEDLES....THERE'S TONS OF SHOTS INVOLVED. NOT TO SCARE YOU AT ALL, BUT THERE'S SHOTS YOU HAVE TO DO IN YOUR STOMACH.....THIGH AND BACKSIDE. I'M NOT SURE IF YOUR SCARED OF RECEIVING THE SHOTS.....OR GIVING THEM TO YOURSELF.......BUT MAYBE YOU HAVE DH THAT IS WILLING TO GIVE THEM TO YOU.

JUST MAKE THEM WALK YOU THROUGH A WHOLE CYCLE SO YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT.
