cervix is closed but still struggling with BV!

Post by evian »

Hi all,

I posed my concerns to my ob and he had me come in so he could take a look. he said the cervix is at a good location and is closed but he will keep an eye on it and if needed close the cervix with a procedure he mentioned the name of and I cannot remember what..
I am so relieved but am still scared. I know what I saw was the cervix! Anyway, I will have to trust my doctor!

As for my infection, doctor suggested if my symptoms are bearable to go ahead and wait for another 2 weeks to take the oral antibiotic - clyndamycin (300mg x2 per day) which will put me at the completion of 12 weeks. hope this infection goes away on its own. But, 1.5 weeks more to go if i do need to take the antibiotics! Seems SO LONG!!! I know the chances of m/c goes down after 14 weeks of gestation period which would put me at the end of January, so one more month basically. i hope i make it that far! i am so paranoid and scared!!!! do you blame me? i have had 4 losses and i have made it this far so am paranoid about every little thing!

in the mean time, i asked him if its ok for me to take probiotics which contain the lactobacillus and acidophillus. he did not see a problem with that. i am just a bit scared since those are immune boosters and i have immune issues in keeping the pregnancies, which i am currently on lovenox for. any thoughts??? I think i will cut down on the tablets. I have been taking 3 per day...maybe just take one a day. i was hoping to get rid of this infection with the probiotics naturally instead of taking an anitibiotic.

thank you all for your responses and support!!! It really meant a great deal. wishing everyone the best!

Wishing you the best on yours pregnancy too! That is great that you got pregnant naturally the second time around. I am hoping for that miracle the second time around too and not go through any ivf procedures but that is long time from now. My priority is this p right now. I am excited but more so scared...Dont know how many more bumps i have to cross to get there. I know its just the beginning but once I have already crossed a milestone of this p being in the uterus, getting through the 6 week mark, and now the 10 week mark. i just hope all tries go smoothly! Every day is a new day and I am thankful for that. Good luck to ya!
