Hi everyone! I'm SO glad I found this forum. I've already found so much info from lurking so I thought I should introduce myself. I'm 32, the hubs is 42 and we've just gone through our 2nd IVF with ICSI. And we think it may be successful!!! *crosses fingers*
But there's still so many questions that are unanswered and I think I've found the right place, you're all very knowledgeable!
Positive Thinking,
I am new to the board also. Have just finished IVF cycle #1 and am in the 2ww (pg test is a week from tomorrow). I had 2 blasts transferred. Are you feeling any symptoms? When is your pg test? I am not sure how this site works yet, so hope to hear from you or others.
Thanks!
Gigi
Hi there gigialex! Nice to hear from you. Actually my ivf story is in another post if you wanted to read it. It's here:
http://www.ivf-infertility.com/phpBB2/v ... hp?t=11056
(just cut 'n paste, can't figure out how to post links)
And I am feeling some symptoms, but I'm not quite sure if it's all the stress or not, but I am unbelievably tired everynight. I can't get to bed early enough!
I wish you all the best with your transfer! Think positive!! I've had my preg test and it was positive, but there's been some questions I've had on some issues.
So get lots of rest. Make hubby do everything! Good luck!
Kathryn
Kathryn,
I am so happy for you! Congratulations on your positive test(s)! I think fatigue is an excellent symptom in early pregnancy. I have been pregnant before and remember being the exact same way--couldn't hold my head up. From what I have heard and read, I know that people can have full periods and still be pregnant so as long as that # keeps going up, keep your chin up and don't worry too much! Did you do a 3 day or 5 day transfer?
If you don't mind me asking, what happened during your 1st IVF cycle?
I am sending lots and lots of positive wishes your way,
Gigi
Heidi--
It's actually a week from tomorrow (Friday) so we will find out a day apart. I am also glad to have others who are where I am. I will be off of bedrest tomorrow and will be so glad to get out a little bit.
Is this your 1st IVF?
Gigi
Yes, this was my first IVF after 3 failed IUIs. I have a 5 year old son, and then had a MC in June, 2004 and had to terminate in May, 2005 due to serious abnormalities. So we started trying again in July, 2005 and haven't had any luck so far.
How are you feeling? My moods are up and down, day by day. The embryologist just called and said that they had 2 blastocysts that they were able to freeze. The best of all of them were the ones transferred on Tuesday (2), but these other two looked pretty good too. I hope I don't have to use them but at least I know they're available. It's kind of a weird thought, isn't it?
Well, I've said a little prayer for you for a BFP on next Thursday. I hope you are feeling positive, but it's okay if you're not. I'm trying not to beat myself up on the bad days. These hormones do a number on us, don't you think? Keep me posted.
Heidi-
Yes, the hormones are keeping life interesting for sure! My poor husband!
I really don't know the exact count of IUI's that I did (I think it is around 9). I have been pregnant twice (MC at 8 weeks and 5 weeks). This is my 1st IVF. We had 16 fertilize and by day 5, had 2 very good blasts to transfer (none to freeze). I am just taking this day by day and I know it is out of my control. I am saying prayers for you next week and hopefully we will get positive results together! Sending lots of wishes your way...
Gigi
