KeeKee--It's just so hard to tell. In our case, the doctor said that my DH's level was so low that in her experience it was a waste of time to try IUI and to go straight to IVF...which we did and got a BFN but then had a natural conception the next month. It just goes to show that science isn't always exact!

I would ask your RE if there is a certain level of motility that he/she feels comfortable with for IUI...if you're under that, maybe you'd be better off just going straight to IVF. On the other hand, IUI is certainly less expensive, so maybe it's worth it to try a cycle or two.

Wow, I was absolutely no help, huh? Wishing you the best of luck...

KeeKee,

We have motility issues and a lower sperm count (24m) so we are going to try IUI (I think, we are going back to another RE next month)... I wish you all of the best, and keep you in my prayers!

Stay positive!!! Lots of Baby Dust heading your way!

XXOO!
