Not sure what this means!!!

Hi Everyone,

I just have a bit of a dilemma!!!
I am currently on my 2ww after a FET and I just went to the toilet and noticed some spotting, it looks dark in colour and is not heavy at all, I am currently on day 11 after my FET and am now worried that AF might be going to arrive!!
My dilemma really is that I think this is too late for implantation bleeding but I didn't think AF arrived with a FET until I stop the pills and the suppositries!! so really I have no idea what this might be or if it is normal or if it is good or bad!!!!!!
Any thoughts or stories would be greatly appreciated!!
The things we have to go through on this 2ww is just plain mean!!!

Hi,
I'm so sorry to read your having spotting, ansd your right the things our body does to our minds during the TWW are awful.

The spotting you are having could be anything any number of reasons i have read a lot about lady's spotting and bleeding and being pregnant, i will keep you in my prayers when is your official test date?....

Hi Aunty,

Thanks for your reply, do you think it is more likely to be a bad thing cause it is so late on? I have read about implantation bleeding but I think that happens alot earlier than this!!
My test date is not till next monday, 19th!!! so I have another week of hell to get through yet!!
Do you know if AF does arrive with a FET, or will it happen after I finish meds and suppositries!!
Sorry for all the questions!! trying to stay as positive as possible.

On my last cycle i got pregnant (but miscarried at 6 weeks!) and had quite bad implantation bleeding on days 11 and 12 following ovum retrieval.

I am sure what is happening is good news!

No i dont think this is bad and you cant say it cant be implantation i have read a lot about FET the fact that embies from a FET can implant later than a fresh cycle (maybe they are still sleepy) so it could be from implantation, it could also be your growing implanted embies are nudging old blood out of the way as they settle in.....i have read so many lady's having spotting and bleeding it's no indication as to whats going on inside amazing things can happen....

your other question i think the meds you are on now hold of AF

Sorry you are anxious but its understandable. Our bodies can play all sorts of tricks on us during this process.

My experience is this...on my 1st IVF I started spotting in the middle of the 2nd week of the 2ww. The spotting was brown and constant although not heavy. I got a BFN and as soon as I informed the clinic on test day and stopped the pessaries AF arrived proper.

My 2nd IVF I had a little spotting on days 10 and 11 and only really when I wiped (sorry if TMI! ) and then on day 12 I went to the toilet and had pinky red blood in my panty liner. I was convinced it was AF coming but as soon as it was there it was gone again and I got a BFP on a HPT that day.

I have read a lot of different stories on here of spotting and bleeding, at different times in the 2ww. I wouldn't rule out implantation bleeding, because that's obviously what I had on day 12 of the 2nd IVF.

Thank you so much to all of you, you have really settled my mind and I now feel a bit more positive, I have tried to stay positive all the way through as I think this will help whatever the outcome.
I will just wait and see how things go, I am not going to do a HPT and so I just have to wait till monday now and then the 2ww will be over one way or the other!!!
Catwhitfield - I am sorry that you miscarried but thank you so much for sharing your experiance with me, I am hoping that you are right about it being a good sign.
Aunty - I do hope that my embies are just a little sleepy and taking a bit longer to snuggle in, I have been quite tired so maybe that has made them tired to!! here's hoping!!
Ems1971 - your story did help me alot, it has made me see that this symptom can be good or bad just like all the other symptoms and as long as there is a small chance that it could still be good then that will do for me!! I am so happy you got your BFP and I hope I will be joining you soon!
