So, I'm about 12 weeks along and feel like my belly is huge, but everyone else tells me I'm crazy and that I look the same. So, my question is, when did you guys start showing? I'm ready to look pregnant!
Hi Meg, good to hear everything is well with you
Every one is so different with their sizes. But I know how you feel!
With my DD I didn't even have a slight bump until 22 weeks and when i left work at 35 weeks people asked why I was leaving! Small bump was hidden under my uniform. However, I was like you desperate to look pregnant especially having waited a long time to be pregnant!
This time at 18 weeks I am just starting to have to think about maternity clothes but people who don't know I'm pregnant wouldn't yet guess.
Some people show as early as 10 weeks.
Hope you soon start to show and that you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

I am nearly 12 weeks & I think I am showing already! It seems hard to believe, but my clothes are tight & I have to wear my pants a little lower. A couple of people commented a couple of days ago that they could see a tiny baby bump. It is very exciting!!!!
Take care & enjoy that baby bump

Since I'm expecting twins I doubt I'll see 22 weeks go by w/o some showing! Lucky!!! I don't know anyone who recently had twins that I can guage myself with so I guess I'm on my own here. It would be great if we could go from normal to maternity so we didn't just look heavier. I'm exactly 10 weeks today and so far I'm just beginning to lose my waist but not really a baby bump.

Meg12 I have also been wondering about this. I am 11 wks 2 dys today and although I have noticed that my belly is definitely changing, no one else can see it and my dh thinks I am mad!! My work trousers are tight - I'm not sure how much longer they'll last out. They've been tight ish since week 9. The foetus goes through rapid growth over the next 4 weeks I belive so I am hoping by week 16 I will show a bit! I think friens who don't know just think I have put on weight!!

I like the comment about going from normal to maternity without looking heavy, coz I feel the same I want to buy a t shirt that says "I'm not fat I'm pregnant". I'm only 5 weeks and I can't do buttons up on my trousers and work uniform is tighter, I am hoping for a multiple preg won't know till 30th March when my scan is. But it's a bit scary hearing people say 12-20 weeks and I'm struggling with my clothes at 5!!!! How big am I going to get?!!?

I love that we all are thinking about this. It means we are all almost in/or already in our safe zone! Technically, we won't be totally safe until we deliver but I am just holding tight until my next goal of 12 weeks.
I saw this PG t-shirt that said "Who's your daddy?" Just made me smile. DH is so proud already. He says goodmorning and goodnight to the babies and after I get home from work he always asks how his babies are. Makes me love him even more!
Today I am heading to Old Navy (for those in USA that know the store.) There was this cute commercial on for sundresses that look like they would work from now until the end. Old Navy is pretty inexpensive so I may have to buy a few. One of my friends also told me to shop for maternity at Gap on line.
Kessa~ I'll be hoping for two for you too!!! The more the merrier!!!
Have a great and growing day ladies!!!!

I am quite narrow hipped (certainly not childbearing) and the midwife told me that it is very common on fraternal twins to show very early because we carry so much stuff around, 2 sacs, 2 placentas, etc... and you can see that mine has already come out of the pelvis. My hubby loves it and thinks its so cute. My sister had twins and she showed early too. She was only a size 8 (US size 4) at the time but you could see it clearly. At 6 months she looked full term. What's weird is I have lost weight since the pregnancy. I eat but I don't snack and I think the kiddies are taking everything for them..bless them.

I didn't really show until about week 14-15...until then, I looked 'fat', not pregnant. I hated it. Even still, some people don't notice. I guess we all carry differently. You'll be there soon enough.
Congratulations on passing week 12 - that's a big milestone!
I had a good old problem yesterday trying to get ready for a meeting. Had laid out my leather knee high boots, tights and some lovely smart 3 quarter length trousers. Didn't realise just how tight they were til I tried to fasten them. My bump /bulge spilled over the top so that when I put my top on, which was quite neat fitting, I looked like I had this unsightly flab!! Several changes of top later and still hadn't convinced myself I didn't look like I'd een eating all the pies so I everntually changed my trousers to a pair that are just fittiing me and no more.
2 friends also commented the other day that my boobs looked massive I'm sure I was getting looks yesterday too from work colleaugues at the meeting. Maybe they think I've had a boob job!!

The great thing is that my boobs just started filling out my A cup bras!!!! I can't decide if this is something I should brag about or not???? I use to look high and low for bras my size that weren't training bras and now I actually feel like a real grown up with this small but sound A boobs!
I'm actually talking to OB in the morning and my biggest concern is that at 11 weeks PG with twins, I don't show at all. I have begun to lose my waist but other than that nothing. If this were a natural PG I'm sure I would be happy but honestly it makes me worry if everything is alright? I'm only 5'2" and 115 lbs. so it's not like they have a ton of places to go.
Should I even be concerned?

kholtan--if it's one thing I've learned from looking at every picture feature pregnant bellies on the Internet that I could find (does that make me a freak?) it's that everyone is different. So don't kill yourself worrying over something you can't control--In three months you'll probably be so big that you'll wonder how you could ever have complained about "not showing!"
I found out at my doctor's appointment yesterday that I'm actually 2 weeks further along than I thought (this natural conception thing really threw my Re for a loop!) and so I'm actually 15 weeks today. And yesterday one of my co-workers claimed that my stomach looked bigger to her (it was after lunch, so maybe it was just the cheeseburger....) so I'm taking that as a sign that I'm starting to show. It's so exciting!
I am pregnant with twins and didn't start to show until I was about 16 weeks, even then it was only a little. Then I hit 20 weeks and everything just sort of popped out. I am now huge! So don't worry, you will have plenty of time to get big!
Thanks for the replies girls!!!! They really do ease my mind quite a bit. The babies hae measured great and HB's have been great as well but I just worry. We saw the OB yesterday and I haven't gained any weight and the OB suggested the nuchal scal to ease my mind. He's doing it for me more than the babies but I appreciate it and I'll get to see them in detail sooner now!
There is a huge part of me that knows I should be so happy to still be regular size but the OB even mentioned that at a small 5'2" he would expect me to show at least a tiny bit but he's not worried. One thing that gives me some relief is that my waist has started to disappear and my once muscular stomach looks more like I've never worked out before in my life. Isn't it a riot to hear yourself say things like this????
You girls have been a huge help and I totally appreciate it. Wish we could all get together for a decaf coffee or something!
