New to IVF

Post by Riles »

Hi All,

I never thought I would find myself in a chat room, let alone one for ivf. But here I am and here is my story (briefly). My wonderful husband had a vasectomy and the reversal has been unsuccesful so we are going the IVF route. I started my lupron injections last week and start stim meds on Saturday. After reading many of the posts I see that I have the same concerns as everyone else- what will I do if this does not work. My husband has 2 children from a previous marriage and we have decided to have one of our own (only one). So I guess my first question or my request would be that I would love to hear success stories of those that had just one embryo transfer. Due to financial reasons we cannot afford to take the chance on having twins so we are doing one at a time (up to two). I would love to hear your story and will enjoy sharing my ride with you all. We are choosing to not share our IVF adventure with our families so besides my husband- you are my support system :)

Hi riles and welcome,

I'm sorry to hear that the reversal didn't work and that you are here with us (well its good that you're here) but in these circumstances. Unfort havent been in your position on 1 embie transfer so unable to comment however it all takes is 1!!

There is a March thread going on here which you are more than welcoming to join - sometimes its nice to share you experiences with those going through it at the same, its a great support group. I guess most of us thought we would never be on a chat about IVF either, however we are and its like one big cyber family :D

Wish you luck in your cycle and a BFP at the end!!

love
