Hi everyone! I am a newbie here, but definately not new to IVF. DH and I just finished fourth try, with BET on the 30th. (two live cycles and two FET) The wait for me is the hardest part!!! It is sooooo tempting to buy HPT, but have been advised against it by RE due to extremely high possiblity of false positive from all the hormones.............aggghhhh!!!
This is my last time, I just cant do it anymore mentally, it is too heartbreaking when a BFN result is given. It is just so hard to focus on much anything else......and then there is the " should I be feeling anything?? or well, I'm tired, I peed alot today, my boobs hurt, etc........
Just wondering if anyone can share what you do to try to remain sane and productive during two WW?????? I can barely concentrate to get thru a work day!!!!!!!!!! Any advice would be appreciated!!!!!!
Hi Shanbeanie,
Welcome aboard! We are on the same boat. I had 2 Blast tranferred 3/29 and will go for the test on 4/9. I would have been able to test on Friday but it is Easter so I have to wait till Monday. When are you scheduled for your test?
My boobs hurt too...I have cold/allergies...very sore from prog shots...it is hard to deal with all this at the same time.
my day at work turned out to be exhausting...which in a way kept my mind off of the wait. I hope the exhaustion does not negatively impact implantation. But you are right the wait is too long. Thankfully this is a short working week. My husband and I are planning a short get away Fri/Sat to keep our minds off. Have to be back sunday for a baby shower. It is hard to attend baby showers when i have no way of knowing if my ivf will work.
I wish you all the best...stay in touch!
Have always thought that my RE waits longer to test than any others I have known of, as my beta isn't until the16!!!!! So that for me is over two weeks, since I had the transfer on the 30th!!!! I mean it consumes my total thought process, try to keep busy, and works helps some, but everyone in my office knows what I am doing, so of course they continue to question me, which makes things doubly hard.
I have not actually attended a baby shower in years, because it is too painful..........I do send a gift, but just cant bring myself to attend. Though I am always happy for friends/family who have children, you always wonder "why can't it be me?" Then those who know your situation just sit and tell you how bad they feel for you and how they know how hard it must be for you to be there. Little do they know that they're making it much worse by offering their "sympathy"
Best of luck to you!!!! I will keep you in prayer, and will hope for BFP!!!!!!!!! Take care, keep in touch!!!
Hi,
It is great to hear from you. I had an extremely stressful day at work and it is refreshing to see your message . Your RE does seem to take longer. My RE had actually asked me to get my test done on 4/6 but then he realized it is a holiday. So I have to go on 4/9.
How are you doing physical activity wise? I am avoiding physical activity as much as I can, its hard not to move around at work though, but i try to totally relax at home.
I bought some seeds to start a herb garden. Something to keep me busy.
Take Care!
Welcome!! It is very nice to see a hopeful dad taking so much interest. It is mainly women here. You are right the wait is agonizing. We have 3 more days before i find out. It is our first IVF too. I am 30 and my DH is 31. Even though we have frozen embryos it would be heart breaking if the results are BFN. We are so looking forward to starting a family.
Wishing you and your wife all the very best!!!
Hi Dolly-
Will have everything crossed for you and pray for a BFP!!! Do you feel as though you're having any symptoms? I try real hard not to let myself think that I may or may not be having any symptoms, as no one is alike, and I know many who have had BFP and had no symptoms. I have been tired, but I'm not going to relate that to anything but lack of sleep at this point!!
This last cycle, we had 10 embies, (last time I was over stimed and had like 30) So, we transferred two A+ blasts on day 6, and none were able to be frozen...............so I am really really hoping for BFP, because I think this is going to be the last time for me. I am keeping PMA though, and I am going to stay confident that it will work this time
Good Luck!!!
At this point other than breast soreness which probably is due to prog. and body ache due to allergies/lack of sleep/stress at work i don't feel anything. I believe if someone was pregnant morning sickness sets in 4-6 weeks after ovulation. If it was my normal cycle i would have started my period today or tomorrow. Do you know if prog and all these other stims. push the normal period out regardless if one is preg. or not?
I think you are a very brave girl to have gone through 4 IVFs. I am really hoping and praying that you get a BFP!!!
Dolly
With my last FET, before I could begin this last fresh cycle, I didnt have a period for 3 months. I had to call to Re and start provera in order for AF to start so I could begin this last cycle, so yes, I definately think that the meds do a number on your body. I keep getting the crampy feeling as thought AF may be coming, but with my past experience, I am pretty sure that it wont be coming when it normally should, so dont know really what to think about the crampy feeling. Like I said, I am trying hard not to read too much in to any feelings that I may or may not be having. Especially since I wont be testing for over a week!!!!!! AGGGHHHH
Sorry to but in hope you don’t mind, its so nice to hear and speak to others going through the horrid 2ww.
I had 2 5day blasts transferred back on the 31st and don’t test until the 14th!!!! Its only been a week and I’m pulling my hair out already.
This is our fourth cycle of IVF, so both DH and I are praying for that BFP.
The worrying thing is is that I have had no symptoms at all, and to tell the truth I cant remember if I had any on my previous cycles!!!!
Well ladies I do hope and pray that all our dreams come true soon, and we will all be holding little bundles of joy this Christmas.

Hi Kia
I too am on fourth try. Two live cycles, and two frozen. This last cycle was a live with 10 embies, two excellent blasts transferred on the day 6 (the 30th) None were frozen this time, so I am realllllllyyyyy praying for BFP, as we do not have any ins coverage for IVF, so I believe this is going to be the last time for us.. We did do a shared risk program, so would technically have two more times, but the cost of the meds is the issue, with last bill being 2500..........soooooooo I too am going nuts over the 2ww, and I am not to test unitl the 16th!!!!!! I dont really have any symptoms either, I did have some breast soreness, but that seems to have subsided somewhat. I do get a little crampy off and on, but really trying not to read too much into that!!! Best of luck to you, will be praying for a BFP for you on the 14th!!! Just keep PMA!!!!!
Take care,
Shan

Hi Kia and Carisa welcome aboard!
I had 2 5day blasts tranferred on 3/29 and will be going for my test on Monday. I am very nervous but hoping for the best. I do have cramping in lower abdomen and just like Shanbeanie my breast soreness has subsided. I feel tired but other than that no other symptoms.
Shanbeanie- Thanks for your response on AF Question.
Hang in there testing day will be here soon...all the best to everyone!!!
dolly - good luck for tomorrow, have you done any HPT?? i'm on the march thread and a few of the ladies on there have tested early and had BFPs, some as early as 6 days!!!
shanbeanie - these 2ww just dont get any easier do they!!! you would think by now after so many cycles that we would get used to it but oh no, it the same each time pure hell!!
carisa - hi , not long to go honey, sending you lots and lots of BFP vibes.
still no symptoms, i'm just looking for any sign to let me know that there is something happening in there.

Sorry to but in. Just wanted to wish you all the best. Also, please don't take any notice of any symptoms you are getting or not getting. Anything you have now is down to the progestone only. Pregnancy symptoms if you do get them (some people don't get anything) don't usually start until your 6th week of pregnancy.
Best of luck to you all.
