Bleeding and Pregnant

I just received news from my IVF clinic that my bloodtest came back positive with a beta of 68. I had a chemical pregnancy on my first IVF but my beta was only 30. First question: is 68 an okay beta (I am 2 weeks post transfer). My clinic didn't seem concerned and told me to come in on Sat for my second beta. Should I be worried about another chemical pregnancy?

Also, since yesterday morning I have been bleeding. It started off as light brown discharge but became a bit heavier and the blood is more red (but not bright red) yesterday afternoon. It seems to be lighter again today but still is there. There were some cramps at the beginning but they've virtually gone away. It isn't as heavy as my period and nothing happened overnight. Has anyone had this and still had the pregnancy turn out okay. My worry is that I was pregnant but my HcG level was still in my blood steam thereby causing a positive test today. Am I too paranoid?

I am going to try to just enjoy the news until I hear back from them on Saturday but it sure is hard. I've been through 4 IVF cycles and an IUI so this would truly be a dream come true!!!

Hi,

Well, I went in today for my bloodtest and unfortunately my Hcg dropped down to 15 so I guess somewhere along the way I lost the pregnancy. This is the second one that has happened like this and I really don't understand why. I sure hope that my clinic can shed some light on things when I go in for my review appointment.

Kelly, im so sorry,ive never experienced this,im pg after my 4th attempt,so ive had 3 previous BFN's,my clinic seems to think its a good sign that at least you can get pg.I personally think its a horrible cruel thing you must be going through,to get that BFP then have it taken away must be awful,my thoughts are with you at this sad time.I hope you get some answers at your review app..
