I AM ON MY 5TH TRY. I WAS PREGNANT 2 MONTHS AGO, BUT I MISCARRIED AT 7.5 WEEKS. I AM IN MY 2WW RIGHT NOW, SO I WILL FIND OUT ON THURSDAY. GOOD LUCK...
LISA
I think we met when you posted before your 4th attempt. I had my 4th round in April and had a chemical pregnancy (2nd one). So, now my RE is sending me to a hematoogist for a variety of tests as well as for a sonohysterogram to check out my uterus. Hopefully something turns up that explains why it isn't working for me. So, I guess I'll be trying again in June or July.
Best of luck with your 5th attempt. I know it happens for people. I too changed clinics and am feeling much more confident that I will get pregnant now because they are agressively trying to figure out why it isn't working!
I had the sonogram test (water test to uterus) last friday. Everything looked good. My uterus lining was good. I also we through a lot of testing before this after a chemical. I had immune testing and the removal of a fibroid.
Now, we are order a SCSA test for the sperm. If the SCSA comes back ok then we have a green light to use our Frozen Embies. My first good try at FET....
Did you have the SCSA test?
Let me know...I'll be right behind you on m 5th. My cycles always look good this is so frustrating.
Denee,
Best of luck on your 5th try. I am hopeful that changing RE and doing the necessary testing will bring you better luck in August. I am on my 4th try, but this time arround, I will be doing FET which is scheduled for this Thursday, 4/23. My IVF cycles were always perfect, but I still got BFNs. This time arround, I have taken a more aggressive role and asked a lot of questions of my RE and the staff, and adding a couple things to my protocol. Hopefully, this new approach and attitude will bring me the result I am hoping and praying for.
Lisamarie, good luck on your results this Thursday!
I am sure you were relieved with the sonogram came back normal. I'll have that test between days 5 and 10 after my next AF which should be in a week or two. Was the procedure pretty easy?
We haven't had a SCSA test but our male factor problem is due to my husbands reversal. He has kids from his previous marriage so they know he isn't infertile just that the reversal didn't work. So, we were supposed to be a pretty easy case.
After 2 chemicals, 2 BFN and two cancelled cycles I guess they are pretty sure we aren't. The new clinic is the one ordering these tests so I am happy about that.
We haven't yet done a FET but we have 3 frozen. Given the need to transfer numerous embryos in the past, I am reluctant to just use the 3. We may do one more fresh cycle and then hopefully have some more to freeze and then transfer all the frozen ones at the same time if the next fresh cycle doesn't work. We'll see. Right now I am anxious to get the tests done so that we can see what we are working with.
Hope the SCSA goes well. When are you having that test done?
I am going to request a SCSA test for my husband when we see the doctor next week. Did yours provide any useful results?
How are you doing?
I just finished my 5th failed IVF cycle. We have some frozen and we'll use those (never done a FET before) but then we may have to look at donor sperm or eggs - we just need to figure out which one is the problem!
