How soon you can do FET after failed fresh cycle

Hi Ladies,

I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me on how soon I can do FET after failed fresh cycle. I have my first IVF/ICSI during the month of March-April and on 4/18 I have my first pregnancy test unfortunately it was BFN. I stop taking estrace and progesterone the same day I got the negative result and yesterday my period started. The first day of my period I have really heavy flow (sorry TMI). Is it normal to have really heavy AF flow after failed IVF? I have Dr Appointment on 5/2 to discuss about our FET procedure my doctor said we have to wait for my May period to arrive then after my AF we can start the process (checking my lining, FSH etc.). My RE said that it's possible that the FET will be on early June. Do you think June is too early? I just want to make sure that when we do the FET all those meds I took during my fresh cycle will be out in my system. For those of you that have failed fresh cycle and did FET how many months you waited till you have your FET? Any help please?

Hi Anie2007,

My RE said as soon as you get your next AF but I would listen to your own body.

After removing a fibroid via mymectomy....I did another cycle well....my body was still exhausted. The RE's can advise us but unless you are in a big hurry I would take awhile..

I went back to back..Fresh then FET now I am 15 weeks pregnant. I had one period and tried FET the next month.....

Best of Luck...I pushed as I was in the mood to keep going and it worked..

I had a fresh cycle of IVF in March 2003, pregnancy test came back positive but just a couple of days later I started to bleed and had a miscarriage. I then had the FET in the June 2003, I had one embryo only which thawed ok and resulted in a little boy in March 2004.

Wow...you and I are neck and neck. I had my first IVF on 4/15 and got my BFN 2 days ago. I have 3 frozen ones left. I have my appt on May 1st to discuss the next step. I'm hearing one cycle too so I'm thinking early June. I'm ready. My body is ready. My mind is ready.

As far as AF goes...I never have cramps...ever. I had bad cramps for days leading up to my beta. I took my patch off and within 4 hours AF was in full swing. I don't have difficult cycles at all and this is crazy. I've never experienced flow like this and I've had 4 m/cs!!!

Hi Ladies,

Thank you so much for your response and positive vibes. I'm so excited it's almost end of April I'm looking forward for my May AF so we can start the FET early June I can't wait to start for my next cycle. I'm going to start accupuncture next week to make my body really relax and ready for my next IVF cycle.

denee - I hope your doing well now after your fibroid removal. Are you in 2ww now? Goodluck.

skidoo - CONGRATS... on your pregnancy and thank you for sharing your success story. Everytime I see somebody that has positive result on either fresh or frozen IVF cycle it always gives me hope and positive vibes that it's going to work. Goodluck on your pregnancy and enjoy the rest of 9 months...

IVFMUM - Sorry to hear about your miscarriage on 2003. But now you have a precious little boy. Thanks for sharing us your success story, you really inspire me and give me hope that I could get pregnant on my FET.

Susan - OMG our cycle is so close. Sounds like your looking forward to start your FET. Me too I'm looking forward to start my FET my body and mind is ready I'm going to start accupuncture next week just to help me get really relax.

Same here I have regular AF I don't have cramps either but in between the transfer and my hcg test I have on and off wierd and sometimes bad cramping I really thought that was one of early pg sign unfortunately it was all from progesterone 3 days after I stop the progesterone AF started and the first day it freaks me out it was so heavy I've never have flow like that. It did not helped also that during that heavy flow I was in the middle of taking my Civil Engineering board exam. I'm glad that was over . Anyway Good luck on your FET hope we both get BFP this time. Are you in any cycle thread? I'm in March and April cycle buddies. I'll probably join the May/June cycle buddies.
