Does anyone know if you can use a hot water bottle on your tummy whilst pregnant? I must have ate something baby didn't like and now I'm paying for it, upset tum, severe nausea, stomach cramps, all I want to do is cuddle a hot water to ease the pain, but I don't know if I should because I know overheating in pregnancy isn't good for the baby, same as you can't use a jacuzzi. As I can't take painkillers a hot water bottle was my only other option. Plus the annoying thing is I can't figure out what it was I ate that caused it. I'm 10w4d if that makes a difference.

A hot water bottle is far more dangerous to the baby than a painkiller.
You are able to take paracetemol for pain without any effects to the baby.
Hope you feel better soon.

When I was first pg with my son I had alot of cramping for some unknown reason. My Dr suggested a heating pad. I continued to use it throughout my pregnancy when I felt stretching etc. & it was comforting. My son is a healthy 16 year old (that just got his driver licence ) I would check with your Dr but personally I think it's fine just not too hot.
