hi
Can anyone help? After 4 miscarriages and one (negative) attempt at ivf, we are having what is probably a last go - due to my age. My clinic has tested me for Natural Killer cells and found that the level is ok, but I have a high level of toxicity resulting from them. In order to sort this out, we have been told that I need to start injecting Enbrel, a steroid, twice a week for 6-8 weeks. Is anyone else on this? I know nothing about it and am feeling a bit concerned with the thought of putting my body thro' a course of steroids as I know they can really affect you on top of all the other drugs.
loose
Hi

I have been told to take predisnislone ( spelling?) from the day before embryo transplant.
I haven't heard of this one before = is it 6-8 weeks before transfer? What clinic are you at?
The side effects for me are meant to be weight gain and sleeplessness - i think the weight can always come off again and at least i can stay up and watch late night tv!
Seriously I had to take steroids when i was a teenager when i had allergic reactions to things I am still here and alive and kicking so i don't think it is that bad.
Hope this is some help?
