Faint line on hpt! Could this be wrong??

Post by kvgsmom »

I couldn't wait any longer!! The 2ww is driving me crazy! My test date is Monday, June 11. I have to go get bloodwork done to find out if my FET was a sucess. I did a hpt on Friday morning. There was a faint line for the pregnant box! Could it be wrong? I am taking 'estrace' and 'prometrium' (suppositories). Anyone know if these drugs could give a false positive? :?:

I say you are pregnant!! Don't think they will give you a false positive! :)
That's only the HCG trigger shot.. Congrats!

Those are steroids. hCG is a protein, with about 100 times as large a molecule as those. No way to confuse them.

In other words, no, those drugs will not cause a false positive. Also, any lingering hCG from your trigger shot (assuming you had one) will be negligible by this time. Not detectable by an hpt any more.

Congratulations.

I used Clear Blue Easy. The first box has to have a plus sign in it. I was told that you don't get a false positive unless you recently had a trigger shot. A false negative is more likley!!!

Hi Ladies,

I used e.p.t and I see a very faint line in the plus sign. is it positive. I am 9dp3dt. I have used this hpt before but never seen any line like this. Do you think I should test it tomorrow ? I woke my hubby up this morning and told him go to walmart to buy a hpt for me - poor him - He has not believed in the result yet !!!
