Okay so it has been a long time since I was on this board. We had a go at one cyle of IVF, resulted in short lived pregnancy and all of the frozen embryos didn's survive. So, we called it quits, because I am going to be 39 and we just don't have the money. We have a healthy 8 year old at home. So, we just came to terms that we can't afford it, blessed with a child, not gonna have another one. Now, I have come to find out my new insurance covers infertility treatment. What do you think people, should I go for it, 1 more time????
In my state - MA- they require the insurance companies cover infertility treatment include ivf. My doctor said that I have my insurance company-BCBS- cover for 6 ivfs - hope I wont go that far. I only pay for the copayment of the medicine -$190 for a bunch of medicine that I still have 1/3 left. I know that many states don't cover for infertility treatment
Best of luck to you! I sure wish our insurance would have covered IVF. The great part is that we don't have to do it again so it was money well spent.
Quick suggestion, if you have meds left over, be sure to check with your RE if they are still good. Most will be out dated and not worth trying to use. Best of luck!
Take care~ Kimberly
