Really a heartbeat?

Post by pjwmeg »

Today We went to our RE and had our first u/s. We heard the baby heartbeat. Someone told me it wasn't the heartbeat that it is to soon. They said it is the computer making a sound to go with the flutter. This is someone who also went through ivf and they said that is how the dr explained it to them. I never heard of this just wondered if anyone knew. I am 6weeks and 3 days!!

tell that person to buzz off. at your stage you can def. SEE the heartbeat and while I don't know if you can HEAR the heartbeat authentically, the point is that the HB is there and fluttering and that's a sure sign. My RE told me after I saw the heartbeat that the rate of m/c for me went down to 10%. Congratulations!

I agree with Wannabeone. If the hb is there and strong it doesn't matter to me if it's computer simulated or not. It still made me weepy to think these little ones were really healthy and well!

Congrats!!!!!
