Lisa Pa-
Thanks for the advice on the injections. I think we are going to make it through this!

Really, if it does sting, it is only for a few minutes, and then it goes away. I noticed you are taking 15 units of Lupron, I am only taking 10 units. I wonder how they determine the dose for each of us. Maybe it is just doctor preference. I went to a class with others to learn how to do the injections, and they were all on the same 10 unit dose of Lupron. I suppose I should not second guess the Doc, after all that's why I pay him the BIG BUCKS!!!
Anyway, I stop BCP on 7-13, so I assume AF will come the 14th or 15th. I am scheduled to start Follistim tenatively on 7-20, but will do a couple of blood draws prior to 7-20 to confirm exact start day for Follistim. Are you also taking a Low Dose HCG with the Follistim? When I start the FSH, I will also be taking Lupron-5 units and the low dose HCG. In the class they showed us how to mix drugs, to just give one injection. However, now that my meds all came, I can't figure out how I am going to make it work. Might just have to do 3 shots a day. Target EGG RETRIEVAL is set for 7/31!!!!
Have you decided if you are going to go for day 3 transfer or if you are going to wait until blastocyst? My husband and I had to decide and sign docs with a notary saying the number of embryos to transfer and when. I hope I have enough embryos to wait to blastocyst stage. The debate, as far as I can tell is that from day 3 to day 5 many embryos may not survive. But, if it does not survive in the dish, would it have survived in the womb? We chose to transfer on day 5, blastocyst stage, with the clause that if we have fewer than 5 embryos, we will implant on day 3. My hope is that by waiting, we will get the strongest embryos for implantation. But it could backfire too if we wait and none survive. Anyway, just wanted to get your thoughts....
Keeping my fingers crossed for all going through this crazy, but miraculous process!!!!
