I thought I would start a string for those of us expecting in February. I believe my due date is Feb 7. (Although I would probably have a c-section the end of January due to a previous required c-section.) Maybe even earlier if it ends up to be twins.
Currently I am going crazy waiting for the scan. (June 26) I think my first one is later than most as I will be nearly 8 weeks by then. I am really excited about the BFP (Beta was 739 14dp 5dt - also later than most I've seen). I can't relax at all until I see the heartbeat(s). This whole process has seemed so surreal to me that I don't think I will really believe that I am pregnany until I see a heartbeat(s) on the screen.
I am slightly comforted by some pregnancy symptoms - sore boobs, nasty oily skin, fatigue and I'm even a little nauseated if I go too long between meals. I read the progesterone injections could do this on their own though.
Anyway, enough from me. I would love to hear from others with the same timeframe.
hey wanttodiscuss! Currently, based on my LMP, my due date is 2/1/08. However, at my last scan, I'm a day ahead so that due date is 1/31/08. I honestly believe I'll end up going earlier. They say your 2nd birth goes much faster.
My daughter is 6 now and will be 7 by the time this one is born (God willing). It took us like 12 years to get pregnant with dd and about 4 years for this pg. I've been on pins and needles cause of a m/c I had in early Feb. I was about 8 weeks when that happened and now I'm geting close to that time again. So, I'm holding my breath till I make it to 12 weeks.
Morning sickness has been bad but tolerable. The worst problem I have had has been the fatigue. Every day after lunch, I'm ready for a 2 hr nap but that's not always convienent. I believe the prog pills are making me more fatigue than normal. RE said I could cut my dose down to half but I'm afraid to do that. Alittle paranoid I guess. It will be worth it in the end though and gladly welcome all of the symptoms.
That's weird that you're not having a scan until 8 weeks. Are you going to a regular OB doc? I guess every clinic is different. I've had 2 so far and go back on the 25th for another. My RE wants to see me for 2 more times before he releases me to my OB doc.
The next thing I worry about is all of the prenatal testing that they will want me to do because of my age. At this point, I'm thinking I will pass on the amnio and the cvs (?) tests. There's a risk of m/c associated with each and with all of the trouble I've been through to get pg, I can't chance it. How do you feel about these test?

Thanks for the reply Jovigal.
My DD is nearly 3. My husband will be 40 by the time this one is born so when it didn't work after 1 1/2 years we started testing and discovered male factor problems.
My regular OB will wait until week 10 to see me. My scan at nearly 8 weeks is with the RE and he will do one more at week 12, but my regular OB wants to see me before then.
I know what you mean about the tests. My RE really pushes the amnio after ICSI at my age (33), since he considers that borderline for amnio anyway. However I have many friends older than me who are now doing the "triple screen" and avoiding amnios. I'll be with my regular OB by then so I'll talk to him about it as well. I don't think I could abort anyway so I don't think there is much point to it. I read someplace that there are some conditions that can be treated in utero that can be found by amnio. Do you know anything about that?
Hi Everyone,
Congratulations on your pregnancies, I am due on the 7th Feb, I have just had my first ultrasound this morning and seen a great sac with strong heartbeat so I am very excited, I have terrible nausea and incredably sore boobs, but I am sure they are due to the progesterone pessaries, my doc said she wants to keep me on these until I get to 12 weeks, I already have 3.5year old IVF twins.
I have now been released from the hospital and will now look for another to continue pre natal care with.
Keep well everyone and get plenty of rest
I saw this heading and thought that I would jump in. Congratulations to all of you on the good news!
I have never posted though I have followed this site since I began my IVF. (It has answered SO MANY of my questions by just browsing around). I received my BFP this past Friday (2 days ago) so due date end of Feb if all goes well. This was our first IVF attempt so I am really really new at all of this (including the abbreviations, how embarrassing) and I'm hoping that you guys might be able to guide me on a few things. Mostly I am concerned about my levels though! I have seen so many high fist Beta numbers on other posts that I am really nervous about mine. They told me that my Beta was 54.1, estrogen was 116.4 and my progesterone was 135.2. How does that compare to "normal" levels?? Should I even be worried about was is "normal", or just focus on my numbers doubling? I am so excited that we had a successful cycle that I am worried that something is going to happen...
I have been having some cramps the last few days. Anyone else? It really worries me but everything I read says that as long as there is no blood it is normal. Also very tired & dizzy. (My blood pressure has dropped a little which is I guess what causes the dizziness.) I read this is normal as well with blood vessels expanding. Anyone else feeling this?
Kathi - Sorry I don't know about the numbers maybe you want to make a posting or pm for "ghost" as he is full of answers to technical questions.
Thanks for the "Ghost" tip wanttodiscuss! I've seen a lot of his postings and so I may ping him about this. I have another appointment with my clinic tomorrow morning so I will see what they tell me too. I am so anxious to see what my numbers are! I also happen to have just been introduced to my neighbor's mother this weekend who is an ob/gyn nurse. She told me that it is just so early right now and that the most important thing is that the numbers continue to double every 48 hours or so.
As far as your symptoms: I too have been having some strange "cramp like" feelings for a few days now, and thankfully no blood. Though I would really describe mine to be more of a "pulling" sensation. Not really a period like cramp (if that is what you meant). And I have them on each side of my lower abdomen. I've read some posting that say that they even have that feeling all through their pregnancy. It does seem alarming though doesn't it? I just am so afraid of m/c. Though I think that I am overreacting to some things sometimes. Hard not to though.
And, I too have noticed that my energy level has dropped and I feel a bit dizzy at times too. Sounds like the same thing that you are going through. I was wondering if my dizziness though wasn't because of low blood sugar...I try to make myself eat something at least every few hours and that seems to help. However I will check my blood pressure just to see if perhaps that is what I am feeling...
I think that you are right though. I too have been told that this is all normal.
congratulations everybody. how fun to be part of this adventure. i never figured i'd be able to move over to this message board (pregnant after treatment). i hope to stay here for the next nine months .
i had my first blood test today - HCG of 447 (14 days from 3 day transfer). i'll go back wednesday for another blood draw. i am in the midst of suffering with OHSS. aside from that things are going well. who can complain when you are finally pregnant after thinking it would never happen to you. tentative due date is feb 22, although i havent had my first ultrasound yet.

wanttodiscuss: I'm tired, dizzy, crampy, moody - you name it!! And with our previous (unsuccessful) cycles I wasn't dizzy at all - or tired for that matter! It's still VERY early days, but I really do feel different! Hang in there.
Kathi: I know this might sound silly, but I really think you must just relax about your levels. "Normal" is such a relevant term, you can't change your levels either way and worrying is NOT good for you or the baby Try to stay calm and positive and be good to yourself. I'm sending lots of sticky vibes your way!
marabustan: Congratulations! Be good to yourself and you have all my sympathy re your sore boobies - I'm on Cyclogest pessies (also til week 12) and the progesterone is definately working!
Jovigal: Congratulations & jubilations! I know how hard it is to have such a long wait and I wish you a happy and positive pregnancy. I suggest you do thorough research regarding the tests so that you can make an informed decision and the rest is up to you and your hubby. Good luck!
erica: How are you coping with the OHSS? I'm thinking of you, hang in there!!
Well, 'Spikkelki' (an Afrikaans nickname my husband dreamt up for our baby, meaning 'little spot') and I are doing fine. I'm having more bloods done on Tuesday 26 June, but I am very calm and positive and trusting God to sustain this pregnancy.
Hang in there all of you, and hope to hear from you soon!!

Test date: 22 August
I called my RE yesterday because of the cramps and a little pain to the left that I was having. They had me come in for the ultrasound today which was a week earlier than originally scheduled, but later than many.
Anyway I couldn't be more excited! There is one healthy little bun baking away and everything looks fine. (I wasn't sure I could handle twins as my daughter was Apparently the pain was from the return of a little OHSS, but nothing I need to worry about. Everything else looked OK. I could see the heartbeat and everything! It is finally starting to feel real!
wanttodiscuss: Oh, Congratulations! I know you must be so relieved and excited. I am very happy for you! I just can't imagine how wonderful it must have been for you to see that little heart beating. I am cheering for you.
Iccin: Thank you for the words of advice. (I really am a very positive person in most respects, usually). I guess I am just very nervous about this because of my age and I needed to talk. I am so happy to hear about your little Spikkelki. I'm sending lots of love and sticky vibes your way too. Congratulations!
I am so excited to join this group.
I am pregnant with #2 after 2 cycles of IVF/ICSI and 2 FET's. We had 2 3 day embryos (3 and 4 cell) transferred on May 27th. I am awaiting my ultrasound to find out if we have 1 or 2 there!
I am on 2 prometrium 3xday. I have been having pain in my lower part of my stomach as well. It is more like a heavy feeling. Tender boobies, tiredness, and a little nausea. It is so nice to have others to chat with about this without having to explain what we've been through. Too bad there are so many of us though. Congratulations to all.
