Anyone had BFN.. then got a BFP??

Hello. everyone..

I know I should'nt have but I have done a HPT got a BFN.. five days after ET. Has anyone done this before and eventually got a BFP???

Need some success stories....Trying to keep my spirits up...

oh dear what a big NO-NO!!! HPT's are evil at this stage. I know its hard to resist tho..... don't mean to lecture

Ok well, i managed to resist doing a test until i went to the clinic for my bloodtest. I was so happy that it came back a BFP!!!!! the following day, first thing in the morning when they say its strongest (TMI!! ) I did a HPT cos i so wanted to see it for myself .... and this was day 19. The blue line was there but it was so so faint i prob wouldn't have thought it was positive unless i had been told the previous day that i was pregnant! If I had done it early it wouldn't have shown up.

I have heard of lots of people doing test 2 or 3 days early on this message board and they often come back negative - but then they get a BFP on the day.

try not to lose heart and keep positive thoughts flowing!

My hospital test was positive but very faint so they made me wait an extra 5 days to retest. In this time I did 3 HPTs and ALL were negative. I was therefore shocked to find when I went to the hospital to retest, it was in fact positive! I have a healthy 8 month old as a result!
