I'm afraid to ask, but if anyone else has gone through this, please let me know what the outcome was. I am in between the RE and 1st OB is next week. Wednesday night (after sex) I had a brown discharge and now nearly 2 days later I still have a very light brown discharge. (No clotting just thin brown discharge.) I called my OB's office, but they don't want to bring me in until next week. (Probably partly because my OB is on vacation and they are understaffed and with a short holiday week I am sure very busy.) They said just to take it easy, no intercourse, no heavy lifting & no excercise.
Anyway, 9 days prior to the spotting I had my 2nd ultrasound with the RE and everything looked great. Strong heartbeat and everything. He didn't give me exact BPM but said it was in the normal range.
I know sometimes this is normal but can also be the 1st sign of a miscarraige or problem. Please let me know what your experience has been.

I haven't had any bleeding, but from what I understand brown is fine. Brown just means old blood. And I think it's fairly typical to have discharge after sex. So it sounds to me like you are fine. Red and clumpy is bad, brown is fine!

I had brown bleeding at about 8 weeks and everything turned out fine for me. I was told brown blood is fine as its old blood.

i had brown blood round about the same time into my pregnancy.
And all was well, just take it easy!

I had this problem at about 8 weeks. When I called my clinic the first thing they wanted to know is if I had been having sex! (I hadn't!)
It freaked me out as it continued on an off for a few weeks and it got to the point where I was almost hyperventilating everytime I went to the bathroom!
It turned out to be nothing though and things have progressed fine for me since.
Hope you have the same outcome (i'm sure you will) and try not to stress!
